The 87 year old Pitmaster is the true pit bos, can still stand the heat and draws in an ever growing crowd. The rise to fame started by ranking best BBQ in Texas according to Texas Monthly's 50 best for many years in a row and was recently kicked up a notch after the popular Netflix show Chef's table featured Tootsie on their BBQ season.
We visited with Pitmaster Tootsie Tomanetz and owner Kerry Bexley to ask them how it is to run Texas most loved BBQ joint and how it is to keep up with the new generation of Pitmasters that don't shy away from using modern day technology to ease the burden of the traditional cooking methods. Dive in to their fiery world of direct heat cooking low and slow, mopping and the now world famous pork steak.
Those that want to go need to go NOW. Tootsie is a big part of Snows and just turned 88.

I loved their episode on that Netflix special. Seem like great people that truly understand hard work. Tootsie is truly an inspiration!

Just did it yesterday, came all the way from Hawai'i. It was well worth the long drive and wait. Food was so delicious, Kerry, Tootsie and Clay are excellent people.

Snow's BBQ is on my bucket list and I'll have to head out to Lexington to get my fix the next time I'm in Austin or College Station since it's halfway between both cities.
I order at least 3 times a year . love the ribs. But realy love the turkey.
