    We remove the engine out the Datsun! Why do you ask? Its because we begin the process of building the carbon floors. In order to start doing any of that Tim has to build his trans tunnel and in-order to accomplish this he needed to remove his engine for more space
    In addition to building out the floors/trans-tunnel, we cut the rear quarter panels to test fit the Carbon Fiber skins up to the car. Now, remember this is a test fitment to see what adjustments need to be made next. So when all is said and done we will align the body panels so all body lines are in sync.
    If you so happen to enjoy this build please subscribe for more updates. I release weekly updates every Thursday @ 4:00pm EST
    Thanks for watching and see you again next week!

      Maybe you didn't notice but this "luxury garage" has a roof leak that leaked water on the car. Otherwise nice car. Not into the s2000 motor. It's not a bad little engine but you have to rev the little buzzbomb to a "million" rpms to get any power out of it. Torque is not a dirty word.

    Correct me if I am wrong. Since the carbon panels were made by laying on top of the original panel... The entire car is like 3-4 mm larger? How did all the gaps stay manageable? Absolutely sick build, great camera work.

    • @imissmynut
      @imissmynut Před 6 lety +3

      spankjelly The Car would just grow a tiny amount like 2mm but gaps can all be sanded and gapped on each panel to get a consistent 3mm gap between doors and the quarter panel etc

    Whats all the hate for the motor choice.You all must move on and build the car YOU want.Not what other people want.Both my Z cars have mild L28 but thats just me.Its expensive to get over 200hp out of them.Its very easy to see why a different motor that already has over 200 hp to start is a smart choice.Now if thats in a small shorter package motor that will take the understeer out of the nose
    Even better.
    I do suggest to send them the motor of your choice with a matching gearbox , for them to keep as a future option if all else fails.

      until it sits in the sun for some time. Carbon is cool looking for a while. Then it gets old and delaminates eventually. Now I know with that being said we have come a long way with our composites in the last ten years. As there has been a boom in the Carbon bike market and the tech is getting better and better. Now when it does finnally come time to recycle anything carbon its a bitch. Unlike its metal counterparts you can't really just melt down carbon and make new like metal. This car will look good just try and save it from the sun and park it in the shade.

    Love the car alot but me as a Nissan and Datsun fan just can't take the idea of a S2000 motor being up into it, he needs to get a SR20 or a RB20 or 25, something like that because it just feel like I saw something I shouldn't have. If basically free than I guess you work with what you got but as far as the S2000 engine being great, I know that for sure, a bigger 4 banger making about 235ish HP is damn good and the engine is reliable too just you know new to the channel so their are some thing I don't know about the build and it just hurts a little to see a Honda engine go into a bad ass Datsun.

[ Still waiting for Tim to reply to my sent IG to him. ] (I really don't need to cut out the whole quarter panel cause the lower portion an area is blistering of undersurface rusting. This is why I'm choosing on cutting out the whole quarters on the car, as Tim di here.) This is why I'd like to show Tim pics of my car, and since he does this work for a living, I want to get his opinion, to resolve the problem I'm faced with.
