Im annoyyed at my self. I was told by a friend to invest in amd when it was all the way down and amd zen was just a speculation. He told me that amd was about to go up. And i believed him but decided not to because i though no one could beat intel. Now i wish i had invested my money in them instead of just bitcoin. But all thr good for amd.

Really? on how to talk and not deliver? it seems most don't care as long as the ceo has something to say.
In our college last year ceremony, one of our accounts staff member said "its easy to do our own work, its difficult to get work done from others".
totally agree. We have 100% control of our own work, i.e. priority/dedication/schedule etc. But when it comes to drive others, things begin to diverge. You start to work with all kinds of cultures, values, priorities, personalities etc.
Try doing it all on your own helped by AI and robot
That may be it? Maybe the CEO can't get anyone to actually work at their job at amd. Ask jenson at Nvidia what he think about second place loser amd?

@@gpc2806 Only a few see the light. So why is amd is a funk? Who dropped the ball on AI?
When Jensen says when he wakes up in the morning, he doesn't feel happy and accomplished, he says, he's always thinking worried and concerned.
Now I understand what he meant by this.
He also said his chips will be bought even if his competition is giving theirs away. amd has nothing for Nvidia. lisa su has taken 50M a year or so even with amd struggling and has struggled for over 2 years. Inspiration? I don't think so. Maybe to those that don't hold any shares?
When the CEO of amd wakes up in the morning all that is on amd's ceo mind is how many stock options they will give and how much taxes on it will be paid.
I don’t understand why you would be as rich as Jensen and still allow yourself to feel like that. If I were him id take my money and run
@@pandawandas Engineers have an intense passion for their work, which sets them apart from CEO who primarily focus on financial aspects.

Great for Intel, not so great for amd the red headed stepchild of the chip sector.
This is what happens when CEOs are engineers/scientists/programmers at helm of a tech company... unlike some businesses that have business graduates as their CEOs/Top Execs that know nothing about the business they are heading.
LOL yet they’re successful. Many CEO’s don’t even have a bachelors in the fields their companies are in yet they’re successful in leading conglomerates. Entrepreneurship is not a study. That’s why not everyone can be an entrepreneur. You can’t read yourself into it or give exams on it. Most engineers don’t run conglomerates.
I like how steve jobs who wasnt an engineer/scientist/programmer led apple 😂 not even a business graduate.

@@AshnesssI am not talking about all business.... my post is about tech related and innovation businesses.
"You can teach business to engineer, but can't teach engineering to businessman"
@@Ashnesss From a man named Steve Griffin from reddit
What caused Hewlett Packard downfall?
Business people caused its downfall. I strongly believe that MBA graduates are not innovators by nature. They are qualified to run companies, not to project their visions for the future of technology onto the company and demand all get behind that vision!
Bill and Dave were great innovators, by contrast Mark Hurd was / is a great cost cutter. Business people should not run companies who's life blood comes from innovation. Founders are usually engineers by trade and have a vision. They do it for the vision not the money. Shareholder return is not the reason they run the company.
In HP you had so many empires and board member agendas that nobody could establish the true vision for HP. So, why not buy companies with 'vision'. Only thing was that the board was too incompetent to buy well and had practically zero appreciation for integrating companies. Plam, EDS, Autonomy are just a few. I think these companies alone resulted in $18 Billion of write offs.
I worked for HP for 3 years. I felt proud to join and glad to leave
Lisa's leadership at AMD is truly inspiring, taking the company from the brink of bankruptcy to being a powerhouse in the semiconductor industry. Her strategic vision and dedication to innovation have reshaped AMD's trajectory, making it a force to be reckoned with. 💡
All of that doesn't make amd a good investment.
My manager always asks me how I feel. As an introvert, I genuinely don't know how to answer that question. I see this as an irrelevant subject to address with my boss. I owe them my time and labour. My feelings, my business. I know she expects me to talk about my family, hobbies, etc but I think that's an unnecessary intrusion into my personal life.
I used to be in that situation and found it hard to share my thoughts, or shape my thoughts into words. Now I have a better idea. I think your manager is more of asking how you feel about your work, such as work load, tasks (interesting or not), interaction with coworkers, and the work situations etc, instead of personal stuff such as your families and hobbies, except if those impact your work.
After these two… all descendants have to be engineers

I work at amd, it's a very very good place to work, the culture is amazing, supportive and uplifting, great work life balance and decent pay. I can say most companies only say these things and they've become a cliche but trust me amd lives upto these virtues. And that is why the company is doing great. There are a few issues as well, it's not a perfect place however, the issues are related to ecosystem development, the company does not pay much attention to software, that is where it is not able to unlock the full capabilities of it's hardware, amd hardware is actually superior to Nvidia and Intel where it lacks is the software to utilize the full extent of the hardware capabilities. Also with regards to people, most of thr times people here are more capable and competent then their skills ars put to use, you can't be unconventional here, it's a very conservative environment too. I wish the company a great future ahead.

goes to show that not everyone can be a leader just by given a title by the management. it takes a different class of people to really lead a team, not just instruct and push blame around.
AMD always has amazing people working in the team, even her 2nd cousin Jensen Huang used to work there as CPU designer.
I rember when amd stock was $1.87 , I wanted to buy some then it went to $2.00 then 2.32, I hesitated thinking it would drop again , fear of losing money I didn't buy , but I was so ready to put $100k that time , had I did it would have worth $8 million now ,

" Investors may use the rear-view mirror to evaluate an investment's attractiveness by looking at recent performance, upward sloping price charts, past interest rate movements, and buying high and then selling low.
