I enjoyed the movie. I was looking forward to it. I attended an evening showing at a little cinema in Austin. The usher was telling me that it was very frightening, and he wouldn't even go near that side of the cineplex while it was playing. There were only two other people in the theater. They sat far in the back and I was close to the screen. There are some references in the movie that are personal to me. I felt almost like this movie was for me. Which is how good art usually works.
TLOS is my personal favorite of Rob Zombie's films. It itched a scratch, and given the budget it looked fantastic. I also read the book, and I can confirm that it was very different. Not only were the women of Salem hypnotized (like in the film) but they also became murderous. It was very graphic and it didn't surprise me that they left these moments out due to the low budget and tight schedule. Nice job with the video! And loved the sweater! :-)
This movie really reminds of Rosemary’s Baby with an innocent woman being used for a ritual and people she’s supposed to trust being in on it. She’s the one who’s made to look crazy yet at the end it all turns out to be true. Her fears were real
