  • In this episode we remove the locating pins, or Dowels, from a Subaru EA82 Engine.

    Just a few comments: You have to be accurate to punch the center, the hole has to be perpendicular to the deck (or better, to be coaxial with dowel pin), you better be sure how deep to drill (in the case of a blind hole). This method is a little bit risky, but it is a viable option.

    If drilling a hole why not taping it and pulling the pin with a bolt?

    I take it youre not familiar with the grease and drill shank metod. You're wasting time.
