I was a Fergie reject at Aberdeen as a 16 year old. He was very decent about it. Said I’d done really well but he thought I was too small. I was devastated, but was always grateful about how he went about it.
Did you get another club
Didn't happen
You're 58 years old now.
@@barrymckenna8547 played junior, East of Scotland and then two years at Berwick with Jim Jeffries. Was in the U18 Scottish Schoolboy side with David Moyes and Eric Black but never got a cap as I was only a Substitute.
@@abacaabaca8131 I’m 61 I was there pre-season 79/80
Sir Alex he was the Godfather, of the premier league.
He still is and always will be
I remember fondly Denis Irwin putting on the famous old Wools kit for the first time it always makes me go all misty eyed. Up the Wools.
😂 I loved pulling on the Few of Them kit, I still cherish that one.
I don't think he ever handled someone leaving the club well nearly everyone left on bad terms Schmeichel, Keane, Beckham etc
And he tried to bury Paul McGrath for £80,000. Permanently retire him. He never told McGrath that Liverpool were in for him. Eventually McGrath made his way to Aston Villa. Ron Atkinson had him move into his family home (helped with his alcoholism) the Villa physio worked out a unique training regime (he did gym-based cardio to relieve the stress on his knees) and McGrath flourished. He played the best football of his career in the 90s. He was widely regarded as being absolutely brilliant for the Republic of Ireland during USA '94 too.
No thanks to Fergie, who tried to force McGrath to retire prematurely.
I'm sure Roy Keane and few others would disagree 😊😊.
Any player makes it pro im any division is special. Cause margins are extremely small make it pro in football. Only 1% make it which means odds stacked against most kids wishing be pro.
Keane was free to join Celtic 🤣
Ferguson hates rangers because of how they treated him regarding his wife.
Turned out well for him
They had to let Robbie Savage go from Man United youth team, but sometimes it can work out because of course he went on to play hundreds of games in the premiership, never give up hope?🏴🇬🇧🏴
And he was world class, right 😏
Id give up hope if I was Robbie savage
@@diehard21000 yes after leaving Man United it was all failure, however, 350 games in the premiership, numerous games for Wales and has worked for BBCTV and radio BT and other networks I like to know what your life failure is like? 🏴🇬🇧🏴
What about Keane?
Fergie had to be ultra diplomatic to those who didnt seem to know they arent good enough, but any player that is still its a different story that he wont discuss. He won't, but observation of what he did about it at the time reveals a story.
Liverpool fan here . SAF was next level !
"..older players doing good by you".
Yeah definitely. All the players are doing good because of Ferguson.
I don’t think you understand the English language.
And what did he do to roy keane… he’s a fuckin bullshit artist
Roy Keane deserved more respect for what he did for the club.
Maybe he saw what Roy Keane did to his country and thought he'd follow suit.
@@BigDome1 fair point
@@BigDome1it was totally not that, do you realise what you could mean by that. It came at the wrong time, also fergie was shocked that Rooney could leave for free and kept him only to see a bit part striker on high wages. Keane did not ask for anything except discipline. You can see that in his time at Sky Sport.
@@Louisdegalfilla7unfair point, Keane may have recognised he's not capable of both club and country though his country's fans demand the same if he's playing for Utd. Scholes had the same issues and fans weren't entirely happy. Keane was still good enough for Celtic.
Should not be shared once Manchester United always Man United
Intentionally didn’t mention Keane 🤣
❤
Woolserhampton wanderers
Palister a free transfer ????.
Yeah I think that’s incorrect. Pretty sure Boro paid a fee in the region of £2 million
Yeah your right....man utd paid 2.3 million from the boro then sold him back for 2.5 million ....
Such a family club they charge their kids a small fortune for a shirt
All clubs do 😂
🎻 😢
Like every other team then
@@getsbuckets we're not every other team , we are Manchester United
What team doesn't? Go see the owners about it
Sold pallister for a profit.
Sort out your text overlay. Dennis went to wools, Paul went to a few of them 😂 Not that f***ing difficult is it? Funny how you're posting something about Alex Ferguson, someone who esposuses the merits of hard work and you're too lazy to type out a few words because you can have it automated for you.
Family club 😂😂 all of their fans are in India
You mean unlike City, who are plastic champions. United's legacy comes from the streets of Manchester, not Riyadh. The class of 92 will live in history forever. Doesn't matter how many call-centre scammers follow us now. What we did in 99' will never be matched. Go back to your grief-hole.
Wtf lol
So your telling me 75,000 fans are all from India sort your head out soft las you support who exactly ???
Aren't Man United a global brand.
Indias not that big mate
