Bro my second day I thought I was going to be the first person ever to drown on dry land. Funny aside, I didn't have a gi or belt yet so my coach lent me some stuff. The belt had 2 stripes on it. One dude who spent some of my first day teaching me how to shrimp asked me about it. I told him if you're over 40 you get a stripe for every class you show up to. He was NOT amused. 🤣
In truth it took me over a year to actually esrn 2 stripes so I get his point.

Everyone was surprised, it was my 4th class tho. I wanted to learn more techniques that I can use when I roll, without just staring at my partner and saying « I don’t know what to do ». Lately my go to guard submission has been the Kimura, been working different set ups, different combinations from there. I caught a guy the other day 9 times in 5 minutes with the same Kimura.
