Beautiful stuff! Love it you the man!
Thank you man!
Thanks for your videos! Been watching a lot of them and going to try them out in our next game!
Good luck! Thanks for watching, glad you got something out of them!
Hey Dnieze
This step is easy to predict as a defender but if you do it when they least expect it, it will make you look like a badass.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeah that's what I'm talking about haha if you do get them off balance and going the wrong way, then this step can get you past them without a touch and as you say, look like a complete badass on the field :D Good luck
totally agree Tevin.
Chur bro, was hesitating at the start about how good this would be but after the first slow mo I realised your the man. If you ever on the Gold Coast, Monday night touch at 7pm come swing some young bucks around 🙌
Haha thanks man, I will be on the coast sometime actually.. Gotta work on some game fitness before I head down to any touch fields lol I've put on a few kgs lately.
Thanks mate really helpful
No worries man! Glad I could help :)
Mean bro. If anything to make it better, id say make the finisher step a bit wider so if you try it on a good defender even if he reads the step he'll miss because he'll think your step isn't that wide. Also, vary the speed when you approach and with the 1,2,3 step go slow on the 1 then fast af on the 2, 3 haha and with stepping for me all you watch is the defender's hips. Once you see his hips turn slightly to one side you go opposite because for a defender, once their hips are turned they're already committed and it's too hard to pull out fast enough to get the attacker going the opposite way.
how do you get used jumping off your opposite foot?
bro I stepped a rugby team so hard that I ended up getting smashed on to my back!
It's because you're bat man.
A brilliant video
Thanks very much!
Fuck them up 😂😂
Nice vid again bro Shaun Johnson is my fave player if i can step like him ill be happy
Haha good luck man! He's got a gift, definately one of my favourite players to watch!
Another really good demo Jake :) It can really make a dude look stupid if you can get away with it.
Yep they either choose the right way, or you get past without a scratch!
Jacob McDonald
yes sir, they do that same "juke" step (as we call it) and it makes them look silly LOL
Kalyn Ponga is the best at hop steps
I'm going to try these on Sunday but could u make a vid for no. 9
The one position I haven't played bro lol
good video, I'd like to show it to my 7 year old... please consider avoiding swearing for the little ones mate
My ankle hurt after doing lots of these in practice, is that normal?
Ummmm No I wouldn't say so lol... Maybe give it a break for a little while, focus on straight line speed.
Held the ball in 1 hand mate they will know which way your going
I want to be like Carlin Isles
Perry Baker's much better bro
Yep, as far as natural rugby skill, Carlin Isles is still catching up. Although, I have seen some pretty fucking awesome sidesteps from Isles... And he's faster lol.
Chr
Shit
why would show people our ways of foot-work too other people !!! us maoris & pacific islanders started all this? you're basically giving out our ways of secrets.
why would you**
Haha the people wanna know so I have to tell the people. If you got it you got it, if you don't you don't though I gotta say. NZ Maoris and Pacific Islanders are complete naturals and wouldn't even need a tutorial. Us mere mortals though, we might get something useful out of a video like this but it;s not gonna give them that natural ability that you either have or you don't.
Jacob McDonald all good bro. not hating at all. keep doing you're thing cuz.
Thanks bro didn't think you were hating I might've got a little carried away haha
Don't worry those guys are taught how to do that ..We Islanders are born with it....So no need to worry...The original will always stand out
This is guy doesnt even know one bit about stepping😂😂
