  • In this video we target walleye on Lake Erie trolling through schools of post spawn fish that are on the move. We cover a lot of water to eventually find the walleye and then stay with them throughout the morning. These springtime fish are aggressively feeding and covering a lot of water but we get into some nice fish using crawler harnesses and snap weights. If you are new to walleye trolling or snap weight fishing this video will help sort out some of the details that lead to success.

    Nice ✌looks like the resident Walleye population is growing with lots of smaller and eater size fish👍👍- the big fish from the west end should be arriving early this year 😁

      That resident population is crazy. Lots of fish. We did start to get into some bigger fish in the last week or two in Barcelona and Dunkirk. They’re coming!

    Gents, I enjoy watching your channel, and learning about the Buffalo end of Lake Erie. Recently, I bought a new-to-me boat that came paired with a Lowrance Elite9 Ti head unit and total scan transducer. The system (Sidescan/Downscan/2D) works very well, but I have decided to switch to Garmin. In appreciation of both of you, and your channel, I would like to offer the Lowrance Elite Ti system to you free of charge. The unit is currently on my boat, but I plan on removing it this week (weather permitting)... lmk if you are interested.

      I can’t thank you enough for your generosity and kind words about our channel. I’m going to pass only because we also have plans to upgrade before next season in a big way! Thanks again and hope to see you on the water!

    Was out there on the 12th of June in the Same spot but we Bottom Bounced and the Bite was just like that . Boated 10 and missed a few because of that light Bite . Just getting a single hook in them ‘

    • @willsworldoutdoors
      @willsworldoutdoors  Před 19 dny +1

      Sometimes they just nibble their way to the hooks and other times they swallow the entire thing. Just depends on their mood I guess.

      @@willsworldoutdoors We don’t set hooks when trolling and just keep tension on the line when taking boards off . Most of the time they are coming unhooked in the Net.

    • @willsworldoutdoors
      @willsworldoutdoors  Před 19 dny

      @@mrmoparrr we set the hook lightly because we feel like with our slow troll around 1.2 mph we need a little more tension to keep them buttoned up. In the faster trolls like dragging crankbaits we just grab the rod. I would say we’re still feeling it out though :)

    Looks like this was a trip earlier this year and just posted four days ago? Cold weather gear on all day makes me think this was in April May. Am I wrong?
