HALAL STATUS: Halal food menu except game (prepped & cooked separately) • Alcohol served
The discovery of a new fine dining establishment, with Chef Peter Joseph at the culinary helm, ought to stir some level of excitement.
But, learning that said restaurant also caters for Halal, while maintaining strict preparatory and cooking standards to ensure zero cross-contamination, should induce cartwheels of excitement.
And so it was that we cartwheeled down to London’s upmarket Chelsea area and Kahani - a contemporary approach to cookery whose chef is focusing on Tamil Nadu, the southernmost state of India.
With the restaurant’s core dining philosophy revolving around grilled meats, fish and vegetables from the robata grill, Kahani is located opposite the iconic Cadogan Hall on Wilbraham Place.

looks amazing, whats the price like?
Amazing food and service, was there with a friend, loved every morsel, Few more dishes to try, will go back there soon, Prices range from around £20 for 2 course lunch menu,£25 for 3. Similar price for Pr-theatre. A la Carte around £55 per person. 6/7 course-tasting menu £60-£75 +around £50 for wine paring. Amazing value for the area. KAHANI is now top of my list in Belgravia/Chelsea. must try Biryani/Butter chicken/Lamb chops. simply WOW.
