    On the divorced set up, on the rear spring how does the adjustable piece sin in the spring? On top or bottom? Cuz on my sentra i like a cone shape bracket that the rubber piece sits in hits the bolt on that piece

    Hi I just ordered this setup and need to do some adjustments after installing them on the car. I was told to spin the 2nd ring to lower it.. do I have to spin the entire strut?

    • @miguelr1133
      @miguelr1133 Před 8 měsíci

      break loose the lower ring giving you room for adjustment you then spin the bottom mount to your desired height and tighten the lower ring back up

    I bought these for a 2004 Toyota Avalon. The struts that were removed were Sachs. I had thought they were OEM, but they weren't. I disassembled one and discovered this. They were also blown to the point that they compressed easily and did not return at all. Still, they were better than these Rev9 struts. These things are so noisy and make a grinding sound with the slightest movement of the car. I thought maybe my sway bar bushings or end links were bad so I replaced them. No difference.
    If I hit the slightest imperfection in the road at low speeds, it sounds like my rear struts are about to come through the package tray, like my wheels are bolted directly to the frame without any suspension. I have owned a lot of old vehicles but have never experienced a worse suspension than these brand new Rev9 struts. I have had to order OEM struts now, for the rear first, since they are the worst. The parts alone cost me about $1000 and I will have to install them myself. I have already sunk $900-$1000 into these Rev9 pieces of crap. I'm not sure if I am going OEM on the fronts as well because it is difficult to get OEM parts. For some reason, one of the most popular cars ever is hard to get parts for. Makes no sense.
    These struts are supposed to have a 1-year warranty, so I'd think I should be able to have Rev9 Power refund (or at least replace) these turkeys so I could at least try to sell them. I tried going to their website but my anti-virus went crazy and reports that their site is infected with a trojan. Makes sense.
    Here is what these struts sound like on my car: czcams.com/video/8-R34CD8oxQ/video.html

    What happens if you didn’t preload the coilovers before driving it

    • @broughdy
      @broughdy Před 6 měsíci

      Without preload your car will take bumps like a train. Don’t drive it too fast or your tire could hop up and you’d lose control 😬

    Avoid rev9 at all costs. Mine had a strut blow out in 3 months and neither the vendor or rev9 would not warranty the part. Also had their endlinks BOTH blow out within months of beijg on the car too
