In case you wanted more:
Veneto: Tiramisù
Liguria: pesto alla Genovese
Marche: olive ascolane
Sardinia: gnocchetti sardi
Friuli - Venezia Giulia: Frico
In sardinia porceddu = little pig is more, more famous than gnocchetti sardi, another famous dish is casu marzu = rotten cheese, delicious. 😍
Sorry for my english
Calabria: 'Nduja
@@domenicoacca in Sardegna porceddu è un cognome, non un piatto...magari chiamarlo con il suo nome: polcheddu, porcheddu o italizzarlo in porcetto, non sarebbe male.
Ehm... Tiramisù in Veneto?
Tiramisù was actually first created in Friuli-Venezia Giulia not Veneto, there’s some controversy because both regions say it’s their creation; the historical recipe belongs to Friuli-Venezia Giulia while the more modern one to Veneto

Thank you. An Italian food based video finally realistic and geographically correct. I'm about to cry. Probably not everyone will like the list but hey, taste is a personal affair and we have so many amazing dishes that makes impossible to satisfy anyone's desire in just one top 10.
Pizza napoletana deserves the first place.
Well done!
Agree, this was very well done and very little stereotypical
In Italy, there are 20 regions and 4 seasons, which means 80 famous dishes at least. But if you start to count the cities (at least 80) you have 320 dishes.
In reality, there are way many many dishes (I bet 1,500 dishes).

Lasagna Bolognese Emilia-Romagna in the number 6 entry is one of the dishes I'd like to try in Italy. A mouthwatering kind of dish as I'm a lover of cheese which is one of their recipe in making it. In general, it's more on sauces, meats, vegetables and other ingredients all in one dishes that makes me want it to try.
Amazing 😍

As an italian I have to say don't limit yourself at the 'typical' dishes you know like tagliatelle bolognese or a carbonara. The italian cuisine has so much to offer, you could spend literally your whole life there and stil discover some new amazing dishes. Pasta alla boscaiola, Fritto Misto, Fegato/ Cozze alla veneziana, Tiramisu, Nduja, Salsicci and the list goes on!
You should definetly try Pasta Al Forno! My absolutely favorite food! Usually it's always with Rigatoni, but some are using other Pasta, like Penne or something like that.
Sorry for my bad english ^^
My favourite Italian dish is Pizza! I went to an authentic italian restaurant in Switzerland and the pizzas taste and resemble like those from Naples. I haven't been to Naples.
The restaurant is called Accademia della Pizza I've been to one at St-Leonard which is Between Sion and Sierre and there are several in Saillon and Conthey. There must be only three.
I’m happy that the carbonara it’s second
Good job
Ps sono italiano se non si fosse capito
Arancini are something incredible.
Io sono italiano e questo video mi è piaciuto molto
You can live in italy trying everyday a different type of dish (both salty and sweet) because we have so much varieties that not even italians know how many different dishes we have in the entire country i swear😌 for example i only know the food of rome (which is a lot of different dishes to remember) and i still have no idea how much different dishes (also desserts) i can discover in other cities of italy and villages
When I think of Italian food, tomatoes, pasta and bread come to mind. Not a fan but appreciate their culinary skills
Good video, but the next time include Sardinia too. We have great food too.
I went to italy for a school trip, and in rome I had suppli, which is the same thing as arancini. Best food I've ever eaten in my life.
Suppli is not the same as arancini don't be blasphemous!!!!!

Here in Greece the most popular Italian pastas by far are spaghetti or penne Al pesto and spaghetti alla bolognese.
When it comes to the the most popular Italian food in general pizza is simply on another level... I'd say in certain regions of Greece pizza has overtaken souvlaki.
Greek food too is really very good. I love your country 🇮🇹♥️🇬🇷

@YouMake MeReal You can easily survive without carbs, I'm not saying it's ideal, but you can.
They are literally the only non-essential macronutrient, but go on I guess 😂
If you come to visit Abruzzo, particularly near Chieti or Pescara, ask for "arrosticini". If you like grilled meat you're in for a treat.
You missed some dishes from Lazio like Amatriciana, Bignè di Dan Giuseppe and especially (in my opinion) the "Pinza romana" a type of pizza
Umh, for the lasagne alla bolognese piece you used a clip on how to make a different type of lasagna, probably southern italian, the Bologna type is made with ragú and the pasta is green
Bello
Nice video, but there is a little mistake. The Pizza Napoletana is NOT crispy. Crispiness is a defect in pizza. What makes the pizza Napoletana so great is the fact that it is thin and extremely SOFT at the same time.
LOL Did anyone else see that waiter pretend to play a flute with the pepper shaker at 1:38

For the real "pizza napoletana" you have to check the edge: it must be hight!!! You should try the classic Margherita (or at least a pizza stuffed with local products) and the fried pizza!
