Chef Andrea should be crowned as The Smiling Chef. He looks so passionate and happy.
And fashionable 😉
If I had food like that, I'd be smiling too*
Of course, he's having the best food, from very happy people sharing it with him for free!
Welcome to my country! it's an honor for us 🇮🇹
Thank you very much!
Many years of loving 'Mark videos' and they still NEVER DISAPPOINT ❤ I always feel sorry for those who eat to live. Live to eat well prepared food, made with love!
Thank you very much, really appreciate your support over the years!
i got taco bell today

@@foxycleopatra6426my condolences. 😢. 😉
Hey mark. Just wanted to say for someone I’ve never met, you sure know how to make somebody’s day better. You’re enthusiasm, your kindness and passion for diverse recipes pours through the screen and you’re an inspiration. Thanks for the good vibes. 🤙🏾😎
What an authentic and special tour of Milan! I love it when Mark gets intimate glimpses into the kitchens and culinary techniques ❤
Right!!he was just authentically happy. I was smiling the hole time
Take a shot every time Mark says Oh Wow...😂❤😂
My goodness!! That veal shank with risotto looked incredible and the chef was such a character and a master in the kitchen. If I ever get to go to Italy someday, his restaurant will be my first stop.😋
Italian food is the best in the world. World renowned .
I'm french and I'm learning italian. All together with the language, I'm also learning about the culture and the food. I will share this video with my classmates and my teacher. 😁 I can't wait to visit Italy for the first time! 😛
Italian food is amazing, Simple yet diverse and full of flavours, color & texture. It's not just the food but also the Italian chefs who are usually interesting characters. I enjoyed Stanley Tucci's Searching for Italy which unfortunately did not continue after two seasons but this series looks very promising.
Tucci is continuing it with the National Geographic channel.
Thank you, appreciate it, more videos coming!
Not only as a home cook, but a professional cook. I enjoy the excitement mark brings to the table. I would cook for him anytime. That also was a gremolata (parsley, lemon zest, garlic, maybe s&p) put in the Osso Bucco.
Thank you very much, appreciate it!
and there were capers in the gremolata too.
@victoriabyrne4303 there she is food job
I love italian food
I love Mark Wiens just because of his enthusiasm for everything he eats, and seeing him in Italy makes me SO excited because Italy has had a MASSIVE culinary influence on the world.
That cartilage and tendon dish looked incredible. Never seen anything in Italian cuisine before.
Good show. Hire the same woman again as a tour guide, she's the bomb. Future episodes could be a Spaghetti, Pizza, Cured Meats, Wine Region and Pasta making Tour's. Segway's could be the regional differences between Northern Italy & Southern Cuisines as well as the differences between Italian & Greek Spaghetti. You could also visit some of the real pizza making oven places. Olive oil production, Tomato growing, and more Bread baking would be some other thoughts. You are by no means finished with Italy.
Thank you very much, much more food coming up!
Gorgonzola + Mustard = Heaven
I hope you get to experience the regionality of Italian Food at its best Mark! There are SO MANY regional specialties that it would take forever to experience just a fraction of everything Italy has to offer.

Thank you very much, went to a few regions this trip, but so many more places to visit in Italy!
Milan is such a beautiful place.
Just came back from Milan the Ossuo Bucco is so amazing at a little nan and pops restaurant
I know busecca a little different: In Ticino (Southern Switzerland) it is a soup made with tripes and vegetables. Good for winter time.
italian cuisine never failed!
"Food must make you happy" .... yessssss 😁👍👍👍
Chef Andrea is Italy personified
that ossobuco with risotto looks so good. also i find Caterina really cute. i would want her to guide me around if i travel to Milan
I love all Italian food, Italiano food deliceso !!!!!
Ho visto questo video con un sorriso stampato in faccia per 51 minuti
Mostarda 27:25 is not horseradish gelatin. It is fruit, in your case cherries but you can get pears, apricots, clementines, etc, candied in a syrup made with water, sugar, and spices (mustard and other spices). It is typical from Verona, around a couple of hours from Milan.
Also Gorgonzola is not originally from Milan (although there's a town nearby named Gorgonzola) but of Novara, around an hour to the west.
Good choices of restaurants. That risotto looked very good.
Just love how passionate the Italians to express their love to food, and the accent sounds lovely ,kuddos to Mark who always brings us the best of travel food vlog
Pls never say kuddos.
It means nothing
I’m amaze Mark that with the amount of food you eat you don’t get fat. How do you manage to keep slim? And you are very lucky you have eaten so much different food all over the world.
Great "work" Mark. Loved Caterina, the Chef, and Auntie. Excellent presentation!!!
This video makes me happy. I am literally tearing up. If i was there in the first restaurant, i would probably start crying and hug the chef. It is not fair how good this food looks!
Hvala sto si u europi ponovo!! Ljepse mi je gledat takve videe, uredno , cisto, zlica, vilica, noz, ubrus.....
😂
I miss penitone so much the ones out here in the states are not the same
Keep it up Mark! I hope you discovered a lot of other delicious foods in your northern italian trip and to watch it in your next videos
Thank you very much, this was an amazing trip to Italy!
Mark's face after all that grappa Is hilarious🤣🤣
Mostarda in Italy is similar to that of chutney, spicy, hot, sweet and salty. Made with various fruits and mustard essence. There is an interesting story about Gorgonzola; Mr. Andrea Bertazzoni, from Mantova, went to the USSR to sell the famous cheese, thought to be a traitor and a poisoner with that mold, that he risked to end in the Gulag for attempting to poison Stalin, he managed to escape and free himself and the cheese.
I've been To Italy twice!! The Food is Awesome!
FYI those little mustard fruits you had with the gorgonzola are actually fruits, it is called Mostarda, usually tiny apples or quince which are flavored with a mustard oil.
Now Mark is BACK in Italy! 🇮🇹
Spicy gorgonzola is similar to our french blue cheese names Roquefort that you have to try
Yes, they have a similar look, but gorgonzola is made with cow-milk, while roquefort - I think - with sheep-milk.
The “gorgonzola piccante” is definitely more spicy and “strong”.
I am milanese, I like both
Mark ive been watching your channel way way back ,in the beginnings of your channel , your the best at this man , huge fan , love your passion to the food , im a food lover just like you , i have learned so much about food from your travels all over the world , keep on growing , eating and exploring , huge fan !!!!
oh my goodness... gorgonzola is my very favorite cheese...
Mark spero che hai avuto un soggiorno meraviglioso in Italia. Mi manca quel cibo tantissimo. Miam
The one with mustard has mortadella for the cold cut. You should have put cheese on the polenta with egg and truffle, that's why they gave you the grated cheese.
I just love his enthusiasm, Chef Andrea is the best 👌
Ohh...wow what amazing food, people and smiling chef....all hard work behind the scenes and thank you Mark for your channel, sharing your journey....how you explain and bring out the ingredients in the food, makes it come alive while you are eating... it's like travelling there with you.... it's for us people who haven't travelled to those parts of the world...thank you Mark for bringing us closer while far away....God bless to you and your family....stay safe.... keep on keeping on...💞🙏🌏

Bella Italia best cuisine in the world my town for 7 years thanks for visit ❤ love Milano
Great video Mark and thank you for bringing it straight after Christmas, I hope you had a nice time with the family and I wish you a happy new year with all my heart and the perfect bite
Mostarda di cremona is fruits boiled and marinated and/or preserved in a concoction that contains mustardseeds and/or mustard oil. In this case they were probably actually a type of cherry that were used as the main ingredient for the mostarda.
Italy, my favorite place to be!! I loved this episode!😋🥰
You' re like a rare red wine getting better every year, always bring a smile on my face when I watch your passion in exploring good food, thanks
Mouth watering food with a lovely, enchanting guide Caterina.
As glorious as always! Thank you for the video!
The whole respectful cultural + cuisine trip is mesmerising. Happy New Year Mark and family. May 2024 bring you many blessings. :)
Thank you for this Episode in Milan, God willing we'll visit it. My favorite dishes are the ozoboco, excuse the espelling, rosotto, and the end of the worl polenta. FW Canada

Amazing... Delicious food. and the hospitality. also keep posting.
Gorgonzola is my fav italian cheese besides smoked Scarmoza. It is so versatile.
In this episode I loved the risotto alla milanese! Delicious!
most of koreans hate milk foods but once i get used to it, i understand italian food is the best in the world! especially pasta! love milk foods!
Delicious Italian food 🇮🇹😎👍🏻
I love the whole Italy series it looks absolutely incredible the food.
Thank you for sharing this experience. Italy is on my list for travel and adventure. Milan is definitely the place now. All the dishes looked amazing. I would love to taste the first dish💞💞..
I love this guy!!!!! He’s just so right for this job, as a human incredible video!!!!!!
Mark: you brought back some great food memories of mine in Milano. I first ate at Matarel I believe in 1981! I remember the tripe, the meatbslls & the pork ribs! ABONDANZA ❤
Awesome to hear that, glad this brought back great memories!
As an Italian food lover everything in this video looked mouthwatering.
Thank you for coming to Milan, a beautiful city with a great culinary past of the highest level. Apart from the panettone which is difficult to make at home and the very elaborate truffle one, all the others are part of the home cooking of the Milanese during these festive periods. Until we meet again
Thank you! Happy New Year! 🥳
Hi Mark, I am Italian and I would like to say that Caterina is not a very good guide for food. She said that what you had with Gorgonzola were not cherries. Actually they were, fruit mustard is made of candied fruit in a mustard-flavoured syrup. They were cherries!
Mark never ceases to amazing me. This was fun to watch!

❤ from ITALY ( mother country 🇱🇰 )
I had always felt like you didn't give Italy a fair chance in the past , but I can see you are now. I love and eat food from all over the world.. so much so that I forget to eat italian for months. But nuthing makes me happier than our gastronomy. I was jelous of the way you tasted and savoured that , as I haven't lived in italy for 3 years now. Thank you for your uncanny face expressions
