As far as the review portion, real nice motherboard and great price for an itx board, highly recommend!
im gona get that! Thanks! also that RAMS seems dope!
Sorry for late question, planning to move from ATX Z690 to B760i, am I understand correctly that in bios I can only overclock RAM and for CPU I only can`t change K index?
@@m1nusasusplus897 which CPU will you use?
Bro the motherboard be look SICK DOOD!
Thanks bud! It made for another happy customer!
Damn that’s a motherboard I can get behind
Very nice build, love the way that motherboard works, kind of a bummer the nicer RAM kit didnt work though. Still not sure how to feel about dlss3, it looked pretty decent in Forza but the electrical wires and things like that in the scenery were ghosting pretty bad, in practice it would probably be unnoticeable though.
Yeah there is some quality loss, honestly I was going for max effort here to see just how many frames it would push on max settings. Forza collectively does that with power lines and little scenery objects....some settings are worse but it's annoying to say the least. Other game developers have figured this out but my theory is FH5 was made for 4k.
Yeah I would have liked for that ram to work as well but the 6000 kit that went in it was still pretty nice. Asus does make a beautiful board!

The thing that is a bit sad with intel is that even though the motherboards are super sweet, like having 12 layer pcb, super nice vrms, smt dimms, sometimes thunderbolt with display out u still will be forced to change to next motherboard if you want to jump on a new cpu generation after only two cpu generations on the same socket/platform. lga 1700 is competent enough to stay around for years like am4/5.
For real, I have always been frustrated with that. And then if someone wants to build an older config then the last gen boards are more expensive. It's business tho, people like me are dumb enough to keep buying it, lol
I always upgrade a whole
System so it don’t affect me in anyway

Do you know if it's possible to enable/disable the M.2 slots in a similar way to SATA in BIOS? This would be important for drive isolation. In any case how would you do it? I've asked asus but they seem to have bigger problems than answering me now...anyway great video!
There is limited support to disable m.2 slots and when there is an option, it's usually just the one slot powered by the chipset. You can change the boot priority to prioritize the drive you boot on. Other than that, it's not as simple as disabling SATA ports. May I ask, why are you trying to disable m.2 slots?
This would be a nice feature to swap between windows and Linux for example. Like running the PC in work focus mode or gaming fun mode 😅
@MustafaElhadi good point, but a dual boot setup like Ubuntu is really not that bad either.
Is there a speed-difference between the 2x M.2 slot? Is one directly linked to the cpu while the other is sharing the lanes ?
Yes, the primary slot runs off cpu lanes, and the second slot runs off the chipset. The second slot has lower transfer rates. This is a typical configuration on most boards.
Goodevening, how to remove the cover/cooler of mosfet (VRM) when i will need to change the CMOS battery? I don't understand!! Help please
I honestly have not tried and not sure. How do you figure the CMOS battery is dead on such a new board? I have 15 plus year old boards and the batteries are still good.
So the second M.2 slot is under the board ? That means you would have to pull the board for access ?
Depends on the pc case. Some have an opening on the midplate big enough to access that post of the board.
@@bricktronics Fractal Meshify 2 Nano
@Whitepinoy Possibly, the opening on the mid-plate looks big enough to access. I can't say for sure without having the case and board here.
What ram did you have that didn’t post and what ram did you change to? My sister has this mobo, paired with 2x16 cl30 6000mhz, saw your comment about the original ram not posting. Her setup isn’t posting either, we think it’s the mobo but after this video it has me wondering
Chances are, there's nothing wrong with the motherboard. Is the ram you got on the motherboards qvl? I forget the exact ram but it was g.skill...not listed on Asus website but listed on g.skills.
@@bricktronics you mind sending the link? I’m trying to find the Asus qvl list but only see a list for the b760 board on pangoly website

Does this motherboard support undervolting? I heard it doesn't. Did the Bio update fix this?
You can definitely undervolt with this board by using a negative offset
in what section is that? i can't find ir@@bricktronics
@pearljamz5845 Under AI Tweaker, look for CPU voltage offset. Select negative. Then, you can add a value. If you do this, go just a little at a time. I will even say, if you don't know what you're doing here, don't mess with it. Also, every chip is not the same....like if you read somewhere your processor works best at a -0.8v offset, your sweet spot may be different.
this motherboard requires a cpu to update bios right? so it doesnt work with intel 14 gen out of the box am i correct?
Correct, no bios flashback here
I have a very similar build Im trying to get working right now. When I install the drivers for the 4070ti my screens go black and the only way the system will work is to use the integrated graphics. Any idea what may be causing this?
Honestly I'm not sure without having the computer in front of me to see....that's strange. Have you tried the NVIDIA DDU uninstaller prior to updating the drivers?
Thanks for replying, This was done on a fresh install of windows 10 3 times now with the same result. works fine until the driver for the 4070ti is installed . Tried finding a way to disable the on board graphics in the bios with no luck @@bricktronics
@briandamm9810 is very strange... might be a gpu bios issue on the 4070ti. You should be able to disable the integrated gpu in the device manager under "display adapters". For whatever reason, Windows is defaulting to that.
Hey, how about VRM temps?
29c idle, high 40s under load. Max I saw was 51c after back-to-back-to-back benchmarks
Is it worth using this motherboard with my i7-13700kf or rather a z790 version?
For performance and functionality, this board is great.
Can the DisplayPort and HDMI be used simultaneously?
Yes it can
im having alot of trouble starting this mb up,
I'm sorry to hear that. Please join my discord that's linked in my about section to make communication easier. I'd love to try and help you.

@@bricktronics yeah dude
Does that motherboard support overclocking?
Yes, overclocking can be done with this board. This BIOS is very clean and simple to use, IMO.
@@bricktronics can we overclock cpu with this motherboard?
@@gauravgautamindwar9334 yes
No, you don't need the CPU "contact" frame. Intel's ILM has used pressure from the sides since LGA 1156 and LGA 1366 in 2011. That's 13 years ago. This is a non-issue, fake news generated by sales people to sell a product you don't need.
Lol, okay
Does this board support NVME SSD up to 4TB? I tried looking at the compatibility list and somehow did not see anything above 2TB, so just wondering if this is the limit.
As far as I'm aware, yes. It's interesting that there's nothing on the QVL.
@@bricktronics I see.. I have one plugged in to my board but the board is not reading it, so was not sure if it's due to compatibility or another problem 😪
@@jopless142 have you tried both slots? Bios updated? Does it show up under disc management utility? It may need partitioned.
@@bricktronics yes I actually had 2 pieces of SSD 😂 plugged in to both slots but none is being read.. also these don’t have any OS installed yet so I can only check through BIOS for now 😕
@jopless142 have you tried to install windows? The drive just may need to be allocated. The installation file will take care of that.
Can i use a 14600k with this board?
With a bios update, yes, do you already have this board, or are you looking to get it?
First
can i undervolt this 13700 using b760i MB?
Yes
@@bricktronics do you think if i undervolt it can axp120-x67 can manage the heat?
@blindman8093 undervolting will lower the amount of cpu heat overall, so I would say yes. Be mindful of changing the voltage offset a little at a time. You will run into stability issues if you undervolt it too far.
I have the exact same ram, i am now waiting for rma to refund me for the b660-i and i am upgrading to this board, did i fuck up again?
Nah, this is a good board from my experience
I also checked the qvl list on ram and mine is luckily supported, but I am having doubts, i guess i just wait and see. You said yours wasn’t compatible, but we had identical ram sticks.
@z3centurion277 There was a bios update that came out since this video that vastly expanded ram compatibility.
Are you able to test the ram?
@z3centurion277 The only way to test is to see if it post.
Bop
Honestly the motherboard is worth it and not worth it - I had to go through 3 RMAs to get a proper board
.. ended up just buying a Z790i Strix and havent looked back.
I reviewed the z790i Strix board as well and love it. It's a great board and I highly recommend it. As far as your experience here, that sucks and totally understand. To be fair, I have heard similar stories about most boards in recent times. It is starting to seem like a lottery....but most people win.
