Plot:
With the help of his elder brother, Sherlock Holmes along with his associate, Dr Watson, ventures out on a mission to thwart the devious designs of their arch-rival, Professor Moriarty.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is a 2011 period action mystery film directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey, and Dan Lin. It is the sequel to the 2009 film Sherlock Holmes, and features the Sherlock Holmesand Dr. John Watson characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The film's screenplay was written by Michele Mulroney and Kieran Mulroney. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law reprise their roles as Holmes and Watson, and were joined by Noomi Rapace as Simza, Stephen Fry as Mycroft Holmes, and Jared Harris as Professor Moriarty. The film follows an original premise incorporating elements of Conan Doyle's short stories "The Final Problem" and "The Empty House".
In the film, Holmes and Watson travel across Europe with a Gypsy adventuress to foil an intricate plot by their cunning nemesis, Professor Moriarty, to instigate a war.

Downey's Sherlock Holmes is in the spirit of the stories. Holmes the action hero.
Sherlock Holmes is more over a detective than action hero unlike here he’s more of a action hero than detective.
@@brandontaylor8957 it was made so that the modern audience can fell interested and invested in holmes, he is still a detective but he is also a fighter and it is realistic if the person he investigates tries to kill him, specially moriarty, so he must defend himself and watson who was in the war.
@@brianweyne5723 Sherlock Holmes was always able to fight, it’s just here he’s more of a fighter than Detective, you can argue about how it was made for newer audiences but it still wouldn’t be in spirit of the original stories
@@brandontaylor8957 i dissagree on that statement, i think this movie is brilliant and definitely my favorite, sure there isnt a normal case sherlock holmes style, but that is because the stakes are high with professor moriarty and he is a master mind like holmes so he doesnt make mistakes or leaves clues, until holmes had the biggest clue of his and won the game of shadows with that.

I just recently watched both of these films and I had no idea how great and enjoyable it was to watch , Robert Downy Jr and Jude law were spectacular , I hope these two can do another series . I also think that Jude Law can be the next James Bond after Daniel Craig -- No Time To Die .
