Hi Phil and Alan, another great video guys! Great shots of north Dartmoor 🙂. All types of weather this time but boy I felt cold watching you🥶! Well done on finding Al’s phone and getting your frozen gaiters in. Happy days and onwards, upwards and downwards, haha! Looking forward to the next instalment 👍. Cheers Pete
Haha yea it was bitterly cold! Without the watch getting the phone to ring I don't think we'd have found it! Super lucky! Thanks Pete! Take care! and as ever onward and upwards 👍
I love Belstone, one of my main setting off points for the North Moors, perfect little village. Lovely camp as ever lads, enjoyed that, yer, ive had that issue with the Gopros, my remedy is a handwarmer in the pouch with the gopro, seems to sort it, tho tbh, its only gopros that ive had this issue with and for the amount they cost, shouldnt do it imo. never heard of that sacred egg, couldnt even find it on a search, wasnt one of those eggs thay used to bury, where you had to figure out the riddles in a book? Love the star timelapse, what gopro setting u use? my few attempts have been crap, lol great video as ever, look forward to next one..ATB WJ
Thanks! Apparently the new GoPro enduro batteries are better in the cold but we've not tried them yet! We found a reference to the sacred egg on a website dartefacts.co.uk but there was no information more than the coordinates, being underground would explain why we couldn't find anything though! Ok for nightlapse settings we change the shutter time/iso depending on the moon etc to suit but we usually use as follows: nightlapse lens: linear (personal preference to remove the fisheye effect) interval: auto shutter: 15 to 30 seconds (30sec without the moon and 15sec with moon) output: standard duration: no limit white balalce: 4000k iso min: 800 / max: 800 (with moon) iso min: 1600 / max: 1600 (without moon) sharpness: high color: GoPro / Vibrant (depending on the GoPro model) We just played until we got better Thanks again! Take care 👍.
