Got to love all the sniping comments. This guy's earning well for himself and is a bona fide World Champion in his profession. Generates a lot of interest despite not being a KO artist or being in a 'favored' weight class. Yet it seems there's an endless line of people waiting to have a pop at him. I grew up in the same area , and would drive past his house in beddington lane cos used to work up the Rd and used to see his boxing ring in his front garden.

I was born in London grew up in London and Essex and from 21 have been in Norfolk the Midlands and up north
My accent shifts aswell unintentionally
His knowledge about boxing and the way he looks at the sport is refreshing, a world class boxer. His accent is hard to deal with, cringeworthy at times, shame as he is an intelligent lad. Good luck to him for his future

Funny thing about accents is they like anything are a product of his environment...so he grew in South Croydon...so hence has a London accent...then he's based out of London for years so it starts to change...are you gonna live anywhere and still have the same accent from where u came....probably not....probably you have never left the environment you grew in so your accent has never changed.....lack of understanding is just the reality of small minds lol

You clearly didn’t watch the fight. The Mexican Martinez who you’re talking about, hit his brother Charlie when he was on the floor after the ref had already called it, with a gut wrenching shot. Therefore it was a no contest, Lara was lucky it wasn’t a disqualification loss for him to be real.
