Recently I have watched nearly all the Robocop movie franchise movies ( Robocop [ 1987 ], Robocop 2 [ 1990 ] & Robocop 3 [ 1993 ] ) during the lockdown and utterly enjoyed each and every cheesy moment! Here are all the movie references that I could find with Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath DLC Robocop.

"Come quietly or there Will be, Trouble."
You missed that one.
💥Ahhh (cocks shotgun) Fu#k you!!
Dammit! I had a feeling that sounded familiar. Will put a list of all the missed movie quotes in the description. :)
@@ChengTeoh can you please make a comparison of Fujin moves/intros/victories and "Hero" movie (2002)? There are so many references/similarities, and some are exactly the same like they were cut straight from the movie!
@@ChengTeoh a couple other ones: "On your knees scumbag" - from Full Metal Jacket. "I'm cashing you out" - Dick Jones says to Bob Morton in RoboCop.
Firefist: you stole that from robocop
You prolly didn't know but RoboCop's outro where he's on the news actually shows your current time love that detail.
If you look at the ticker under the news, it mentions a councilman getting sentenced.
In the first movie, RoboCop stops a councilman from killing the Mayor.

Also Stryker: Cool, who plays me?
Agent: Oh just the best actor Johnny Cage.
Stryker: Deals off, DEALS OFF!!
Him and RoboCop would've been a perfect cop duo.
@@jalenellis3594 actually, it is shown in the RoboCop ending that he partners up with stryker and some others to take down OCP
That had to be the funniest MK9 ending.
seeing these lines redone side by side.. I almost wish the lines in the original Robocop would be redubbed to be this good
You missed a reference to the line “replicants are like any other machine, they are either a benefit or a hazard, if they were a benefit they wouldn’t be my problem” from Blade Runner in a terminator intro
yes, even in another video I saw, they didn't reference Blade Runner either
"HE SAID IT! HE SAID THE THING(S)!" Every RoboCop fan ever.

Joker tells Robocop "I'm cashing you out." This is a reference to the scene where Dick Jones sends Clarence Boddicker to kill Bob Morton.
yup. best one
I thought i was the only one.
Bob Morton made a mistake. Now it is time to erase that mistake.
Good one didn't catch it.
His tone is ominous when he says “they’ll fix me...they fix everything” in the video game, like he’s been through the process so many times it’s an inevitable outcome.
In the original movie, his delivery is more or less filled with optimism in that the OCP company can fix anything as he is still newer to the system, versus game where he’s probably done it for years now.
Yeah, no. The comment in the film is sarcasm. OCP 'fixed' him by taking him away from his wife and young son as well as any vestige of his life. They also tried their best to erase his humanity, while treating his body as a corporate asset. There's not much to be optimistic about there - it's a sardonic aside. The game uses it as a one-liner - there's no indication of subtext there.
His tone is ironic resignation not optimistic. They don't fix things, RoboCop isn't Murphy fixed up, it's some horrifying limbo, his old life destroyed not merely by bring turned into RoboCop but the collusion between ocp and violent criminals, such as his own killers.
@Mr. Al Robocop's voice becomes monotone? Because it's usually so expressive... I think you're spot on with your 'if you want to' comment though.
In the cinematic "film" in the game, Robocop says once he defeated Kronika... a "force" brushed him, significantly enhancing his programming and making him realize that OCP is a scam selling to police and criminals and once he is back on his realm, he'll bring them all to justice
9:47 "Polar bear spotted downtown. Lincoln Zoo reports no animals missing."
If that's an Animalities tease, I'm gonna flip.
Maybe in the next game
Probably a Nightwolf reference

You missed T.J. Lazer scene reference: "Can you do it, dad?!"
Also, the part of: "Buddy, I think you're slime!"
Can you do that Dad?
who says that?
Robocop saying 'haven't we done this before?' Was great
Its nice to see Peter Weller return to voice Robocop in MK 11, one of the best nostalga wish come true.
One of Noob Sabot's comments is "You crossed my line of death!" from one of the commercials from the original Robocop movie.
PabloIchiban from the Nuke em game

You haven't dismantled your MX stockpile.
I like how Cassie casually calls him "Murphy"
maybe a casual reference to the fact that Robocop's partner is kinda similar to Cassie Cage, I remember she was also a bubble gum chewer like her
They should give us Nancy skin for Cassie Cage
@@NekoHibaCosplay Also, Lewis is the one who helped him fix his targeting system in the first movie so you may actually have a point there.

That high pitch hyena/ jackal laugh

on that TV news outro at the end, it makes reference to a show called TJ. Lazer which was a show Alex Murphy used to watch with his son before he became robocop. it's also where he got his iconic gun spinning, he learned how to do it like in the show to impress his son.
Good eye, re-watched the movie and saw that reference at the 56 minute mark.
TJ Lazer was a riff on TJ Hooker played by William Shatner cop tv show in the early 80's
oh i remembered, there is a dialog with sonya saying "you hide something from us" then Robocop says, "some of my directives are classified", probably refers to the 4th directive
Also on the victory outro where he scans his opponent you can see that directive 4 is classified
Spawn should've said, "Go fuck a refrigerator, pecker-neck!" Lol.
You forgot Robocop vs Erron Black when he says: "Buddy I think you're slime"
Kabal tells Robocop "I'm about to be a cop killer, too." This reminds me of the scene where Robocop brings Boddicker into the police station and tells the police chief "He's a cop killer."
fantastic work by this studio in creating these characters
the affection and care are incredible
I love all this
Nobody: Sees Robocop 👀
Spawn: "There still a man under all that shit?"
😆😆😆 Spawn is literally a whole mood!
6:51
wow... the news headers!
"Nobody will leave their home"
"Ancient Mayans warned of outworld invasion"
Also the headline, where Striker's game prompts congressional hearing. Direct reference to Mortal Kombat itself, responsible for the age restriction system in games.
A good one with Baraka would have been “Your move creep.”
Thats a good one
Im a little bit annoyed nrs didn't do that
I appreciate people like you who show all these references for people who have never seen the movie in it’s entirety or don’t remember
You missed the Buckaroo Banzai one with Noob. "Doomed is your soul, and damned is your life."
I've added the missed quote to the list of things I've missed in the description. Thanks so much! I had no idea of all the other things I've missed. XD
There are two more from Buckaroo Banzai. Sorry to bring them up again but it's one of my all time favorites that I've seen far too many times.
Robocop's "She ionized me, but I'm alright now" in response to Jacqui, and Johnny Cage's "Can you Sing?"
It feels like mostly everyone generally respects robocop, and that is absolutely amazing.
Same thing with Rambo
There's at least one you missed: Johnny asks RC if he can sing, and while RoboCop himself has never sung, Peter Weller _has_ played a singing, crime fighting scientist in the form of Buckaroo Banzai.
Johnny Cage calls him Buckaroo during character select!!
Haha huge stretch
@@SNNetwork Right and Skarlett painting friendship is just a "stretch" too. K.
@JZPotter Skarlett painting friendship is just a "stretch" too. Ok.
Sheeva: "The Shokan demand justice!" Robocop: "Shokan justice is a unique point of view."
Reference, Star Trek IV The Voyage Home. Klingon Ambassador: "We demand the extradition of Kirk, we demand justice!" Sarek: "Klingon justice is a unique point of view, mr. President."
Glad I'm not the only one who got that. 😀
Kurtwood Smith who plays Clarence Boddicker in Robocop also plays the Federation President in Star Trek VI (and many other Star Trek roles) and of course Peter Weller who plays Robocop also plays a big baddie in both Enterprise and Star Trek: Into Darkness.
The more accurate "i am the law" is when batman says it in the dark knight animated movie by peter weller himself.
Whoa, I never realized that he was the voice of Batman. I actually do like that animated movie.
@@ChengTeoh the dark knight returns 1 and 2 both written for comics by frank miller. They were adapted into an animated movie and its where BVS got its inspiration from. I mean when he snapped that shotgun and declared that he was the law it was all out awesome
Peter Weller was probably one of the best Batmans ever. He was just so damn perfect. Only Kevin Conroy did it any better.
Ken Gibson Don’t forget, the screenplay for Robocop 2 was also written by Frank Miller. They ended up splitting it up into Robocop 2 and 3, but both movies were originally supposed to be one long story written by a brilliant but psychotic man.
3:21 YEEEEES HE SAID THE THING!!
His fatality and brutality when he blows off your hand. Also if you play a mirror match you will hear him say "again" just before he shoots off his own hand... The brutality is very similar to the way he was murdered in the movie
Huh, I didnt think about that, wow.
Yes, I left those out since those are too graphic and would instantly get the video demonitized. I've even had videos of intro-dialogues being age gated, I can only imagine what the algorithm would do with graphic scenes of someone's hand being blown to bits.
Watching this just makes me want to watch the OG Robocop movies.
So about that news blip
Ron Miller was the name of that politician that held up City Hall during Robocop's first mission. Robocop smashed through a wall and tossed him out through a window.
Kanemitsu was a company that OCP partnered with in Robocop 3. They're the ones who supplied them with those ninja cyborg bodyguards. After OCP HQ was destroyed, they cut all ties with them.
Kinda glad someone else saw Robocop 3. Figured there would be more refs considering the robo-ninja bodyguards in that movie
Bixby Snyder is "I'd buy that for a dollar" guy
@@darkhorseman90 especially as the guy who played the robo-ninjas went on to play Shang Tsung in the Mortal Kombat Conquest TV show
"And I want my old job back."
Nice combo of refrence guide and Robocop customization display, some nifty combos ^^
Definitely a good job catching all the references🤙🏽...makes me wanna watch the 1st Robocop again and maybe the others ig😅😅
I noticed whenever you pick Robocop with the Johnny Cage announcer voice, he refers to him as “Buckaroo”...Peter Weller played the lead in Buckaroo Bonzai. Nice touch!!
You researched well for this video. It deserves more views.
RoboCop:"You can help capture Kano?" Liu Kang:"And expedite your return to your realm." RoboCop:"I'll buy that for a dollar."
Hazo Hasashi: "FriendShip is the only pure thing left in this world".
I love the idea of Robocop finally being in a Fighting game and more in Mortal Kombat, it suits very well. I realize now that (3:10) Robocop vs Joker is a very good cross-over. It told me thta years ago I did not believe it.
Robocop: Dead or Alive, you are coming with me.
Joker: Whatever you say Robocop.
Robocop: Dead, then.
Missed "Buddy, I think you're slime."
Good effort dude
Another one that was missed: There's an exchange where Joker says "Just think of this as a game... I'm cashing you out." which I think is a reference to the scene in the first movie where Boddicker kills Morton. Specifically Dick Jones says that in the video recording before Morton dies.
RoboCop:"Come with me. You must stand trial." Sindel:"I am not bound by your laws." RoboCop:"You have 20 seconds to comply."
I would listen to the cop don't want to get shot 50.cal including missiles that big boy right there 1:25
Sindel is packing some milf tits hahaha amirite chads?
There’s also one where Joker says “I’m cashing you out.”
Thanks! I had a feeling that one was talking about Dr. Faxx from Robocop 2, but I didn’t get the connection by the wording until I realized they’d both literally kill to get ahead.
holy smokes are so many references which one's your favorite Cheng Teoh
Definitely "Dead or Alive, you're coming with me." How about you?
@@ChengTeoh probably the one where he says I'll buy that for a dollar
I dont blame Lews for what happened. We as men will never see that type of compassion for women for years.
There are many stuff you missed, but good effort so far!
Keep in mind that some of the stuff I "missed" were done on purpose since they do involve graphic scenes of violence, and CZcams doesn't like that, lol.
Damn, Judge Dredd could also be an awesome addition to the mortal kombat brutality ^^
Johnny looked so sad when he was denied the role
7:08 looks like a good transition
"Haven't we done this before" could also reference both the game and ERBOH
This is just amazing
2:04
"I'll buy that for a dollar!"😂😂💰💰💰💰
Theirs two Buckaroo Banzi references. Noob says to Robocop "Doomed is your soul and damned is your life." Lord John Whorfin is the main villain of Buckaroo Banzai and he says that same line too Buckaroo. The guy that plays as Robocop played as Buckaroo Banzai. John Cages comment about Robocop singing might also be a reference to Buckaroo Banzai. Also some of Robocops dialog with Robocop might reference "Robocop: Prime directive" he ends up getting getting a partner that looks nearly identical to him, to the point that when he starts committing crimes, Robocop is the one blamed for it.
There's also a reference to Blade Runner when Robocop says to Terminator that machines are either a benefit or a hazard.
I definitely need to rewatch Blade Runner.
Kudos for you putting the one and only RvT, Snes' version. Depressing story I remember.
“I am the law, fool!”
* shows Sylvester Stallone Dredd instead of Karl Urban Dredd *
Me: for shame
I personally prefer the original line. Haven't seen the new Dredd
@@anonomis9685 Watch it immediately.
This is awesome
Spawn and Robocop have so much in common, I’d love to see a game, comic or animated film where they collaborate!!
Good editing the movie in!
Apparently, it is canon that Kitana watched taken, I find that impressive, most impressive! It seems outworlders are watching movies from earth realm. That’s my favorite head canon I conjured up for.

So glad they threw in Robocop vs Terminator game as a little easter egg. I always felt I was one of the few who actually knew about that game...
I STILL HAVEN'T BEATEN IT 😢
His intros and outros are the best in the game
"Polar Bear Spotted Downtown"
Animalities coming soon?
Oh my GOD, that & having babalities return would complete the package, lol.
"Gruesome fatality reported on Subway platform" gave me a chuckle
Damn Stryker gets so many references but sadly that is all we get for him
8:55 you forgot to play a clip for the last Easter egg.
really now what team write this dialogues?veeeryy well thought!!
just the reference I was looking for
0:12 Now i realize, he was the voice actor for Saxton Hale in the Jungle Inferno Update for TF2, I never realized until now! That's awesome :D
2:55 - Slightly annoyed by Scorpion's forearm bones being twisted...
I love this, my only wish is he retained that Robotic Tinny sound in his voice like in the original movie
I wish they would use the sound his gun used to make when he blew holes through peoples chest.
Idk about you but the thumbnail is the best robocop variation skin for me
They mentioned my boy Stryker. I am satisfied.
Now I want to watch Robocop, Terminator, and read up on Spawn. This game has given me an insight on these amazing characters
yo they put alot of detail in theirs characters they have my respects
You missed an obvious one.. ..the needle-like projection that retracts from his fist is also in the Robocop movie when he is obtaining data from a list of criminals.
Hmmm, I guess maybe the next time I should also include non-dialogue similarities. Will have to think about it.
yess yes someone mentioned strykerr finally
Some of the alternate robocop skins as well are a nod to Metal Heroes, aka Japanese "robocops", his friendship is the robot dance and that chain around his neck is from that robocop parody video
"Dead or Alive, you are coming with me." Iconic
spawn has the coolest Comebacks ever
0:33 is also the original movie poster pose, pretty anytime he shows up with the car in the intro.
7:05 that cut is smooth
The news scroll references "T.J. Lazer" which was Murphy's sons favorite tv show and why he does the pistol spin into the holster.
At 8:54 when Robocop got a close up he says "Crime does not pay".
Last time he got a close up was in I believe the 1st Robocop film & when he got a close up shot on Robocop's face,....he says, "Stay out of trouble".
7:27 There should’ve been the scene from the Death Battle they had after the scene from the crossover game they had (which I did not know about).
Nostalgia. I love it.
there is a mention to kanemitsu company at the end (Robocop 3)
7:08 That Scene fits so well with the intro in the game (He turna and lools like a game Scene)
