Sir is not enough ... Make him king
Emperor! Emperor!
make it so!
Well he is Emperor in Skyrim.
Edit: of course I mean Oblivion
Vexed Films This guy. This nigga right here.
How did you know I was black?
I think that conan is missing the point, mr stewart is saying that he did not know that you could buy pizza by the slice, most of us can only buy it a box at a time.
+mark durrant it pleases me that you refer to him as Mr stewart.
Shows respect
Wouldn't Sir Sewart be the appropriate thing to call him?
+Anton Broomé ikr
+Anton Broomé I believe it would be Sir Patrick.
I'm nearly 46 and I didn't have Pizza until I was in my late teens, early 20's as where I lived there were no Italian restaurants or Pizzerias... as for slices no not until the mid 1990's here in the UK like Pizza Hut in Reading railway station or in city shops.... Now I always buy 2 for £4 at Asda 'American hot' both or one and a 'Pepperoni'.
DON'T JUDGE. PIZZA TIME IS PERSONAL TIME. ONE EATS A PIZZA HOWEVER THEY CHOOSE.
No they fucking don't you goddamned uncultured barbarian.
Your icon makes this comment so much better. XD
Yellow King !!!!D:
You, Sir Drew, are a true protector of the small and defenseless. Thank you for your service to Internetlandia.
***** ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
I hope I'm this bad-ass when I get to his age.
It's gonna be hard
It's good to dream big!
If you are hoping to be badass, you won't be. You just do you.
*****
Steal his stem cells.
You are his age, Sir Patrick doesn't age
Conans confused because in the UK we only sell pizzas as whole pizzas. But in the us and Canada you can "grab a slice" which is just a slice and not the whole pizza. We don't have slices in the UK. If you want pizza you need to buy the whole thing. Love you Conan!
Not only UK. I don't remember ever buying a slice of Pizza anywhere in Europe.... I also had my first slice of Pizza in America. ^^
+Hans Maulwurf You can get a slice in the UK, just gotta find the right places. :)
Hans Maulwurf in referring to the uk cos that's where sir Patrick is from. Why would I reference Europe? Had my first slice in Canada.
AntMan Sam I know but you can buy a slice in the UK. So I don't know why people even writing this. :'D
Mckenzie Everitt-Wagon You kind of answer your own question. Of course you will probably find a couple of restaurants with slices somewhere in Europe. OF COURSE YOU CAN.
But you have to KNOW the right places, because it's HIGHLY uncommon to buy slices anywhere in the UK and in the rest of Europe.
I bet you can even buy a slice at out local Pizza Hut. How many do you think we have? 1. Exactly one place, you have to know where it is in the region where I come from. Compared to the normal Italian restaurants, where no one sells a slice. (And I'm not even sure, since I never go to Pizza Hut)
Compare this to the US, where you can buy slices everywhere you look.
Why make it simple, if we can make it complicated. lol
this man, james earl jones, and sean connery, greatest voices ever.
True .Anthony Hopkins too . I love his voice
Also, Benedict Cumberbatch (for a 'new guy' :p).
Blak
Fuck no.
***** he's too old sounding to me, and too easily imitated. it's extremely hard to imitate the timbre and resonance of those three
Christopher Lee
Here in italy it's madness to serve a pre-sliced pizza, unless it's takeaway.
So you make your guests/customers slice it?
Tesla Foil Sure. Everyone I know would raise an eyebrow at a pre-sliced pizza.
Fair enough. I guess we're just a little lazier, and/or cannot be trusted with semi-sharp instruments.
Ghost81
do you eat it with knife and fork?
Doan08 yes
Sir Patrick Stewart seems like one of the coolest guys to chill with. He also hasn't aged a day in over 30 years.
SIR Patrick Stewart can eat his pizza with a knife and fork if he so desires. We can't stay mad at Professor Jean-Luc Xavier. We just can't.
It's impossible to dislike Sir Patrick Stewart.
I hate him as an actor and a person
@alelusio Americans eat pizza largely as a convenience food. It's food you eat when you're hungry, not food you sit down to enjoy. So as a result, we eat it with our hands because we're usually eating it in a hurry or when we're on the move.
What a joy it would be to hang out with Sir. Patrick. Never a dull moment.
I love the way he speaks haha so proper x)
-ly
juffurey
No, he was right the first time. Well, if he had used proper punctuation, that is.
That is clearly a woman.
Yellow King only if she was referring to the man himself, not the verb "speaks".
Wow, I didn't know my comment would stir a serious conversation over my sentence structure. Calm down, I'm just here to compliment the video.
"We are in a friend's...ballpit." -STEWART, Sir Patrick, 2015
I remember one time I saw Patrick Stewart while walking in the SoHo area of NYC. As soon as I noticed who he was I simply said "Hey!". He then proceeded to walk past us and eventually slightly turned his head and said "Hi" in a kinda of serious demeanor. I MET PROFESSOR X! Yeah, we hang out. ;)
#professorx #sirpatrickstewart
Sir Patrick can eat pizza anyway he damn well pleases.
i love how he and Conan have such great chemistry, their humor pairs together so well 😀
And I thought I couldn't love Sir Patrick Stewart any more than I already did XD He's so awesome!!!
So now we know pizza are not in slices on the Star Enterprise.
Allaluca Don't you mean Death Star Enterprise?
"Computer: Pepperoni pizza, sliced!"
Italians eat it with a knife and fork and you know what. They MADE the pizza.
Imagine if he and Morgan freeman had a narration battle. Jesus.
Rex Tugwell literally JESUS. It's like 2 Messiahs trying to prove which one is the real one.
That's so funny! First time I went to England I went to this small Italian Restaurant and ordered a pizza expecting a slice and they brought to me a whole pizza! I couldn't eat all of it and I apologized for that! lol Here in Brazil it is usually to share when we ask for whole pizzas, and we also eat using forks and knives.
Haha, similar thing happened to me when I travelled to England almost a year ago, I was in an Italian restaurant in Windsor, I wasn't alone though, but I ordered a pizza expecting a slice and got an entire pizza. We ate something like half of it there though, luckily the restaurant, as many pizza places do, box up the rest of it for you so you can eat it later. Also had spaghetti bolognese there.
So cool how with all of his serious roles as Picard, Xavier, Scrooge and endless Shakespeare gigs, he is very funny when he's being himself!
He also played gurney Hallock in dune
- "I was 22 before I *saw* pizza."
*[pizza time stops]*
Whenever I see an interview with Patrick he just always looks so excited to talk. He should really get one of the podcast shows where he just has a conversation and tells stories. I would honestly watch it
That man is The Man.
cant argue against the truth
Can a person be any more likable than this great and talented man 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 what a treasure
Sir Patrick is such a Legend
After all these years Patrick Stewart is still a great actor, very entertaining, and stays in tremendous shape for his age.
I think pizza slice (as in one) is mostly American. I have seen it very few times here in northern europe and when I've it seems to be american influenced.
i live in north africa, and we have that here (i don't think it's american influenced)
It's such a great idea, though. Say you're out in town for the day (or on the road.) You feel like getting pizza for lunch but you don't want to carry a box of leftovers around with you for the rest of the day. You just go to a pizza place and pop in for a slice. Since they're pre-made, there's no wait other than a little time in the oven to re-heat. Sure, it's not the best quality pizza but I mean it's still pizza. Pizza is like sex: even when it's bad, it's still pretty good.
deedou07 pizza came from america , so yea it is american influenced. and no the iltatians didnt make pizzza.
Have it here in Japan. But back in Germany, I only saw it at Pizza Hut.
grrrindz "pizza came from america"
"no the iltatians didnt make pizzza"
Obvious bait, but 8/10 made me considerably agitated.
I do eat pizza with knife and fork.
you barbarian
Try it with chopsticks...
stephan287 I think spoon would be a thousand times better ^-^
Me too - fork and a knife - you learn to enjoy it much more. Sure it is easier to hold a slice but you end up eating like a pig stuffing your face while trying to slurp up the toppings before they fall off - disgusting
Its the original way. Go to Italy and you will never ever see anyone eating pizza with the hand....well if you do ...he/she must be american
That man is delightful. What I wouldn't give to hang out with him and Ian McKellen.
Ditto
He is 74 years old and so quick and witty and so 'in' with technology and social media it's impressive! My grandma is like 83 and she doesn't know anything xD
In Italy when you order a pizza they brought to you the entire pizza usually without cutting it in slices. And it's pretty common to eat it with a fork and a knife - or cut it in slices and then eat it obviously
Do you also make big pizzas to share with others?
Awesome, just replayed Oblivion's beginning!
Such an amazing person! I'm glad I caught this one
that sobbing at the end makes another good Sir Patrick meme
on wich channel is the coanan show, and is it possible to watch it from EU?
Whenever Patrick talks, I hear director bullock XD
In the UK they eat pizza with knife and fork...but they do they same thing in Naples.
na they don't i live in the uk and never seen anyone eat it like that unless its old people.......
***** It is, though.
***** I bet you're from Romford. Or maybe Blackpool.
***** Grimsby?
***** Thanks chav.
Yeah, Conan still didn't seem to understand that he meant he never ordered only one slice - or pizza by the slice.
Actually, I thought it was "like a big piece of pie" when I was a kid too, since at that point I'd never heard the Italian-American phrase "pizza _pie"._
all i can think of is avery bullock from american dad i know he does the voice lol great voice tho
He has a very similar voice to his best friend Ian McKellen. Both two badass actors with awesome voices.
I am the unicorn of your confidence. best ad anyone could ask for
SO happy to see Cpt. Picard wearing a Montreal Canadians hat!
An even bigger misunderstanding is Conan thinking he didn’t know what a slice was 😂😂
Man I love Conan. He even manages to get Patrick Stewart to laugh in tears! Meanwhile Jimmy Fallon just makes everyone feel uncomfortable.
Now why we can't have more guests like him.
1:06 "AND YOU EAT MOST OF IT!!"
I wanna see Patrick Stewart record his lines for american dad lol that's be hilarious to actually see him say those types of things
Cannot help but think of Bullock from American Dad when I hear his voice; it's awesome.
I like his Habs cap in the pizza picture. =)
Love his voice!
Love the Hab's hat!
I eat pizza with a knife and fork as well. Come at me, bros.
I just don't like getting my fingers cheesy *cue outrageous double entendre*
*HOW **_DARE_** YOU DEFILE PIZZA WITH SUCH CUTLERY!*
I love that man!!!! But now that I saw the picture with him wearing a Montreal Canadiens' cap: I WANNA FRENCH KISS HIM!!!!!!!!!! GO HABS GO!!!! LOL ;P Brilliant man and I admire him alot :)
Viggo Mortensen love the Habs. He talked about it a few times. :-)
He got a Montreal Canadiens hat!! This guy's just awesome!
Amazing man.
Love this man:)
22 y...y...years?!? WITHOUT SEEING A PIZZA!!? Sir I tip my hat to you. I can't survive 1 day without it. Bravo jolly good show.
you eat pizza everyday???
lmfao!!!!! nah brah just in general
Oscar Urias In space, no one can hear you bake...
kingleech16 NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've never heard of individual pizza slices before...
I'm sorry but I was laughing at the slice part.
We need to protect this man at all costs.
Ok go and protect him. I'm pretty sure you haven't lifted a finger. It's been two years since your comment.
@@47imagine Log off, friend. You know for damn sure OP wasn't being completely serious.
@@MrPoeGhost I stand by my comment.
I absolutely LOVE that he is a Habs fan. It makes me so happy!!!
And this, kids, it's how to never get old.
His voice is mesmerizing.
That uncomfortable hand moment 2:04
In the UK and most countries, buying a single slice of pizza inst a thing.
... Though I think Greggs (UK chained bakery shop) sell something similar these days.
Nice Habs hat!
I love his voice so much.
0:52 the Sir is a Habs fan!
This man has always been in killer shape.
Bro, you left out the reason I looked this clip up!
The reason they don't sell pizza by the slice in Italy is because its not really considered street food as it is in the US. Pizza is usually eaten sat down at a restaurant with a knife and fork. When I was in Italy over the summer, mostly every pizza I ate was with a knife and fork, and it's enjoyable because first and foremost, you're respecting the culture, and second, your hands don't get greasy and require constant wiping. I did eat pizza by the slice 1 time on my trip and that was in Florence at about 3 am after coming out drunk out of a club. That is probably the only time pizza is served by the slice in Italy, late am hours when people are coming out of the clubs drunk and need their quick fix of food.
Eating a pizza with a knife and fork used to be more common when you went to dine in pizza places. The pizza would come straight out of the oven directly to your table and it was way too hot to grab a slice right away. But you could cut a piece off the end, blow on it a couple of times, and then eat it without destroying yourself.
my father was the same way. 20 years old before his town got a pizza place and he got his first taste.
I freakin love this guy! My dream is to meet him one day! D:
Love his character in American dad
I love how Seth Macfarlane gets Patrick Stewart to voice Avery Bullock in American dad idk anyone better who could voice him
Holy shit is Patrick Steward a Canadiens fan?!?! I never thought he could get more awesome!!
Hahahahaha!!! I didnt expect him to be funny! i wish Conan has him on the show more often.
He is so awesome
Just chilled old ass dude lol
You got to love Sir Patrick Stewart. He seems like a really cool dude to hang out with. Like I bet his friend and him just binge watch Star Trek TNG or watch some movies while having a couple laughs.
Wow he was wearing a Habs hat in that pizza picture! Even though I'm not a fan of them that's kind of cool lol.
Hey! I use a knife n fork duet to eat my pizza sometimes. When I don't want anything to get greasy and all.
All I here is Director Bullock from American Dad
hear
This man is a hoot. I don't generally care for celebrity types, but I always wanted to meet him.
wow Sir Patrick is wearing a Habs cap @ 0:45 , Never thought an english actor was a Hockey fan.
Nice coat Conan !
In most of the U.S. you cant buy pizza by the slice. In most U.S. cities it can be found. But, if you live in any suburb, small town or rural area your pizza choices are limited to buying a whole pizza pie.
Its true. My parents never knew what a pizza was until Pizza Hut opened close by. And similarly, people of Napoli never knew what Kong Pao was until the first Chinese restaurant opened in Napoli in 1984.
The individual pizza slices is an American phenomenon. It's common to buy just a single slice of pizza there but not so much anywhere else.
However when you buy a whole pizza, at dominos or pizza hut or something like that, they do come pre sliced for convenience.
Usually here in Sweden we do use a knife and a fork to eat pizza as well...
There are lots of small restaurants where you can order just a slice where I live. As far as bigger restaurants, no idea. You can order just slices from Costco all the time. I have. I think it depends on the place. The pizza story was hilarious though. You find something new every day. For him, it was pizza slices. xD
Don't ask me why, since I've done it since I was old enough to hold a fork, but I'll eat the toppings off a pizza with a fork first, then I'll eat the remainder of the slice the normal (with the hands) way.
He's amazing man after watching Logan I just wanna hug the guy he deserves an oscar nomination for that
In Brasil the traditional pizza is sliced in 8, you eat it with knife and fork in a restaurant, in your house you can choose to use your hands, in a bar you can go both ways depending of the bar is fancy or not, but if you are in the street is just safer for your shirt to use silverware, is just common sense.
Que hermoso
I love this man. May he live forever.
I was just about to make a joke about him being Professor Xavier but then i realized i had none.
