Motivating Workers Across Cultures

People across the world are motivated by (1) purpose, (2) mastery, and (3) responsibility. However, how leaders use these motivators with their employees depends largely on the culture you are in. For example, workers in collectivistic cultures want more collective levels of responsibility, while people in individualistic cultures want more individual levels of responsibility. This video will discuss research that shows how you can motivate people differently, depending upon their culture.
