I'd love to see this challenge be done in DS2. It might not even be so hard since throwing knives are pretty good with lots of variety with full stat scaling

This video has got to be one of the best character arcs I’ve ever seen. I’ve never seen a man devolve into insanity in such an entertaining way. Hopefully you can float back down to sanity and do proper challenge runs

Throwing knives were useful for 1 thing in my SL1 run vs Artorias because it was the easiest way to break him out of the buff animation
Yeah they do have their uses....it's just that beating the game by themselves isn't one of them 😂

Can you leave knives at the fog wall and gather them again when you run out? If so you may need to redo this run without the summon cheese.
You can but I sorta consider that a glitch, plus it would only help with Quelaag really, everything else has way too much health or a drop after the fog gate meaning you can't get back to it
Turning bed of chaos into "fun boss" is something which I'll never forget about this video.

Its amazing how well he can communicate his mental stability's decline while doing this run so well, that i felt it as well, i was soooo bored by the run, but also very entertained by the video itself (if that makes sense)

One thing you could try to bypass carrying limits is to drop some number of knives right on top of a fog gate, then refill from a nearby bonfire. Then when you run out during a fight, you can go to the fog and pick more up. Doesn't work for all boss arenas but it seems viable for a few, like the Gaping Dragon.
This was the perfect video to watch after coming home from work.

Really weird that you can carry 999 arrows but not knives
I think you can drop extra throwing knives right at the edge of the fog gate so you can have more than 99. Saw someone do that for a Dark Souls 3 consumable only run. Would probably also work for Dark Souls 1.
Yeah that is possible to do but it's sort of a glitch and it wouldn't really help in the long run because of Four Kings and Nito where you can't get back to the fog gate

It does. I know, because I've beaten Qualagg with only knives myself and had to do that

Interesting little tidbit for ya, I actually spent an ENORMOUS amount of time messing around with the sound levels in this video. It's a tricky one because I want people to be able to hear my voice and Baron's without it clashing too much
I've always used throwing knives in my playthroughs, even though it does shitty damage, they are great to lure enemies, it can be very useful in certain scenarios where lots of enemies are close to each other and you want to fight one at a time

Hey, I was just wondering what resolution do you capture your footage at? As a starting up youtuber, I'm often noticing my videos getting some absolutely abysmal compression, like practically unwatchable at times. I record at 1080p which, while not fantastic, I consider to look good enough at least, and change project settings 1440p to counteract the compression as much as possible.
Hey so firstly what software are you using? I probably do things differently than most challenge runners actually. I play on PS5 so I use the built in recording software most of the time but sometimes I use OBS.

I believe you can drop some knives into the fog gates before initiating some fight (Gwyn, Sith), but Nito and Kings are still impossible 😢
