What I expected: Legolas in Dark Souls. What I got: the most glitched up mess of a nonsense run I don't even know how to describe.
@Poe Soul not necessarily true, you can find a bunch of legitimate runs with a bow

@Poe Soul Just leveling DEX and HP + upgraiting your bow = fully viable. And the gameplay is not only sniping, but more close to the caster. Rcently finished all bosses using the slowest bow in the game. Exept Gwin. Had to Gold Tracer spam him, because he can just jump through the arena to you and I just didnt want to deal with this...

i suggest you to use Drkmoon bow, with the arrow made for it. add the range + bow ring too! I made a real mess with it !

@@DeathAngel-ft8oz been a bit since i last played Dark Souls Remastered (and lately there was that hacker attack which made even logging in one of the games from the trilogy dangerous) but since i didn't saw any patch notes posts is safe to assume they do still work
Dark Souls 3: Skillfully maneuver through pure determination to defeat your enemies
Dark Souls 2: Use the open level design to create a powerful, unique build quickly
Dark Souls 1: Shatter the spacetime continuum and glitch out of existence
So in summary (remastered):
- Glitch yourself infinite titanite
- Use titanite to upgrade bow's melee damage
- Glitch bow into a melee weapon
- Realize that the bow still isn't a good melee weapon
- Exploit hole in reality to unlock ultimate ability: T-pose
- T-pose until you shit your pants
- Bosses are disgusted by your obviously shit-filled pants and refuse to acknowledge you
- Snipe them to death like a Skyrim stealth archer
- Glitch yourself infinite souls
- Use souls exclusively to level endurance
- Use endurance exclusively to do a sick 2520° frontflip into an elevator shaft and stick the landing so hard you don't die
- Do the Skyrim stealth archer thing again, just without shitting your pants
- Find piece of mysterious crystalline substance
- Consume the substance, undergo spirit journey to the Kiln of the First Flame
- Shit your pants and bitch-slap Gwyn with a flaming bow

I don't even play Dark Souls, I just watch these videos because they're entertaining.

Imagine coming to this video expecting to actually learn how to beat the game with just a bow.
i did it normally, and it was a lot of fun, surprisingly. o&s was surprisingly also not too hard. i did a lightning bow, so i could down smough really quickly, and super ornstein's ai is super shit, so he just kept doing his dodge-able ranged attack while i filled his ass with 20 million arrows. i used solaire for gwyn because bows can't riposte. overall, i'd recommend doing it the normal way instead of this way.

Adding the default dance to Dark Souls is the only reason I still play. I get an absurdly high endorphin rush when I default dance after killing bosses

Imagine that for some reason the bosses in dark souls get an actual consciousness. But they can't leave their arena, and can't attack in other ways what they were programmed to. And they get on this dudes device of play.
So you sit in your arena, only for some dude come in, every day, killing you in the silliest ways imaginable, only for you to respawn the next day. Maybe even in Ng+. You feel the power. You died, but you got stronger. Now you can crush everyone. And then this dude comes again and kills you in some ridiculous way again.
You die. Permanently. In this game at least. Thousands of years pass, leaving you in a peaceful slumber. And then you awake again. And it's this dude again. In a different time. In a different world. He came to torture you again....
And you can't do anything against it. You can't die on purpose. You can't fight even more fiercely. You have to obey the world. Which wants him to conquer you.
You want to scream, to escape this torture. But you can't.
Never.

@@dovhadark7108 sounds pretty useful. More damage cant be bad.
@@pal1d1nl1ght It's a better fire upgrade path that requires you to have 10 soft humanities for max damage. Otherwise it's a terrible version of fire upgrade.
The reason it's so widely used is that elemental weapons don't scale from stats so in PvP you could just put all of your levels into survivability and still deal good damage. If you die you can always pick your humanities up so unless you can't do that without dying again you have a straight-up buffed fire weapon.

I played a bow only game this year, and found it generally easier than fighting in melee. I remember composite bow +15 doing good damage for what it is, even enough dps to beat the Four Kings easily. But this video... This is something else.

This video actually did inspire me to beat the game using a bow primarily.
I'm using the composite bow up close, and the black bow of Pharis for sniping.
However, I do have a buckler and rapier I keep on hand for enemies that I can parry more easily than I can shoot.
I am happy that i managed to watch the og version...time to watch it again.
