If Nick wasn’t to build their legacy amongst the younger generations while retaining the happiness of their older members they have to work.
The need to give animators more control over their work.
Their legacy was ruined ages ago.
The animation actually looks clean and pretty, I just hope the writing is just as good or even better.
The character designs is absolutely horrible on the quote-on-quote "reboot". But the animation seems to be passable. I wish they would uses this budget for, I don't know, DANNY PHANTOM!!!!

It'll either be very bad like the live action show or very mediocre because I doubt they'll top prime fairly oddparents (seasons 1-5)

A reason Spongebob why we still have Spongebob and various spin-offs. Those shows do generate a lot of money and story writing is not the strongest point in those shows.

I believe in the ending we got from Channel Chasers. Timmy grew up and became an adult. He forgot his fairies, but now his kids have them!
or... just make a Netflix collab movie that's the true epilogue of Timmy's time with Cosmo & Wanda but also a prologue for how C&W settled down together in Dimmadelphia before meeting Hazel? :P

Unless they’re just doing multi-verse shit. Where Channel Chasers is one timeline. Another is the Secret Wish. And then the live action movies. The live action shows (I dont wanna even think of counting this lol). Sparky season. Then Chloe season.
I mean if they would do a special where they explore this multi-verse (and call it out), that would be hella genius.

I think this is meant to appeal to black audiences. And once again, RACE DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY MEANW E CONNECT WITH A CHARACTER. I’m all fine for black/women/gay/etc main characters and side characters. But the writing needs to be good and they need to be fleshed out.
Yeah. I mean I can’t say it’s a really bad thing at times. But it’s a funny trend I’ve noticed.
After all in some shows, people have been changing originally Non-Black characters to be Black in remakes.
But at least the new main character is an original one. At least, I hope she can stand on her own instead of being another copy of Timmy.

Ok, seeing still images of this new art style in the thumbnail nearly made my eyes pop out of my head. But seeing it in motion, it actually looks really good. Very "post spider-versy" with how it it's somehow amazing despite being very choppy, and the fact that it's animated at all gives it a huge leg up over fairly odder. As long as the writing is decent, we might be onto something here.
When it comes down to story, what's really going to be different between this and when they added that blonde girl into fairly odd parents? Also, if this is suppose to be continuing from the original, where's Poof?

Gotta say, the animation looks clean and smooth. Timmy Turner is actually in the show, he's a grown adult and Actor in a Crimson Chin Movie.
I agree with the animation. It's a huge improvement over the bad flash animation it shifted to and especially most of their CG cartoons. This new animation looks more stylized and ores a welcome change of pace compared.

If the pilot is a good indicator for the rest of the show (or at least season 1), then I'd say we have a good continuation on our hands. And I'm excited to see more of Hazel!

And each time they do make a new idea, the show only goes on for like a season or two before getting cancelled
tbf i would agree with ya on that. But recently though with shows like this, taking a beloved world we all grew up with while expanding it with new and returning characters to help the new main character out from time to time though is actually the right way to continue a series. I find it smart marketing. Which is sadly in this era very rare to witness in ips.

I saw the leak from a while back and I was thought it was pretty funny like there were scenes that made me genuinely laugh
I juust recently started getting into evangelion and literally can't escape it anymore. Almost had a mini heart attack when you showed that one iconic image of Shinji on the chair😭

I must admit, i was shocked hearing about this a few days ago. But honestly from being a indie dev/ animator. This is the right way to continue a show, you expand the same universe within a new city, with returning reoccurring characters we grew up to love. This is how passing the torch while continuing shows should be doing. instead of complete cast changing.

The leaked pilot was pretty good, especially how Cosmo and Wanda are written. If you liked the early Fairly Odd Parents episodes I'd say give it a chance!

Now that it's been officially revealed, I'll once again say that the animations style looks like a really nice evolution of what came before! I probably won't watch it, but y'know, atleast the visuals are nice!
Also, I can't believe Frisk from UNDERTALE is the main character-
At this point I just feel bad for both the VA’s of Cosmo and Wanda they just keep on coming back to this series and voice them again and again from three shows they were on 😞
I think Voice Actors get paid more for continuing voicing characters, so this is actually good for them, they may be being payed more than voicing new characters

It's a bit tricky when it comes to reboots. They can be place in tiers: great, controversial and bad.
A new exciting direction that keep the heart of the series would be in the great tier.
Showing a new twist but losing what fans love in the original would be controversial.
Then there's changing everything to fit your own agenda and disrespecting the series, creating a angry mob.
I'm optimistic that this reboot might be great. New art, style, characters and a new narrative. It seems like the heart is there without any strange off-putting agenda. Who knows how this could go.
