For me, the fact Khamzat faded, and imo, Usman looked compromised(knees), is maybe what could support Usman's impression of Khamzat. But*, I don't think we've ever seen someone control Kamaru like Khamzat did in 1st rd. Looked incredibly dominant against Usman, who is a monster. If Khamzat had been able to get finish in 1st, or if he hadn't faded, it would have left a stronger impression on fans and maybe Kamaru also, but just imo. Chimaev needs to figure some things out still imo, but has incredible potential
And had he not hurt his hand , he would make Usman become just another El tapo…
