- I bought this JDM Nissan Gloria with the intention of restoring it back to its former glory. The first stages of this intensive restoration with include removing all major components in the rear end, such as subframe, fuel tank, etc

Also, in a previous video you mentioned a swap for the Gloria, you should do a VQ35DE swap, you can find them in 2000-2004 Pathfinders. They make around 200-250hp.
Or making 400hp with the ol 12v vg 😂👀

hey mike! i have an FC that i just recently put a LS in (ik i’m a bad guy) but just some info for Omar: the FCs came in 4 lug and 5 lug. 4 lugs were base model NAs and the 5 lugs were the T2s. i’m not sure if he has a s4 or s5 chassi. if it’s a s5 they all transitioned over to 5 lug im pretty sure and it’s 5x114.3. but if it’s a 4 lug car (s4) then s5 tails will not fit. you will have to do some cutting around the reverse light bulb socket area on the chassi, since s5s are one giant lens. also, good luck finding calipers for that car, they simply do not exist. what usually goes bad is the seal between the ebrake bracket and the caliper. that requires a seal and a new e brake bearing. the bearing is a small roller bearing that costs $30 🥲. i’d also do a rear steer delete. there’s a bushing in the rear hubs that allows the back wheels to kind of move around when you’re turning to help with handling. those usually make your car ride like crap since they go bad and it’s best to just substitute them with solid bushings instead. also the evo 9 front brembos are bolt on 😏. love the channel mike! if anyone wants for info or has an fc id really appreciate if you check out my insta! @no.dorito.fc

P.S. GXL were power doors, but the base and GTU did have the crank windows.
I'm very interested to see how this Gloria build is gonna go. I feel ya on that straightforward subframe removal. Clean bolts and slightly used bushings make for a good time. Glad it was easy. 👍🏾

In theory it's a bad idea to use a brushed impact near a fuel tank because of sparks. That fancy milwaukee gun is a-okay I would assume, aptly named "Fuel"😂😂
Yeah that blue mirror was a T2 mirror. The FC also came with either a 4x114.3 or 5x114.3 depending on what was speced into the car factory
I thought the FB had the weird 4 lug pattern, and FCs had 5 lug as standard?

I work in a panel shop and really any good panel beater should be able to pull out the 240 quarter panel, it’d take a while to get it all pulled out again and then most likely have to put a lil bog/ bondo to smooth it out again. Bog is quite good now days and as long as it isn’t more than 4mm thick it should be fine an last a long time. Anyways much love from Australia!

GTU FC models came manual windows no sunroof. There was a 2+2 model FC. 5 lug FC are the 89-91 GXL, GTU, turbo II. the older came 4 lug unless it was a sport model
I wanna get one of those stud welders that puts on the body pulling loops. Got a mean quarter panel dent on my truck to try pulling out for the first time. Gonna be fun giving it a go.

Rear brakes on that might be the same as some Pathfinders, but I know it's not from a 96-2004 Pathfinder, because they used rear drums.
Hey, for the starter randomly clicking, it could be easily fixed by cleaning the spots where the cables connect. Have happend many times to me. Also love your videos. Really inspires me to work on my car:)

@03:38, you are supposed to remove the headlight, those tabs unbolt. bend them so they create a tighter positive grasp on the replacement seal when reinstalling those clips on the outer side of that rubber seal.
Glorias rear brake calipers look exactly the same as EU spec 200sx s13 rear brakes. 😄

Checked pictures of my old FC, it had black dash, with grey interior. It was a champagne color. I had a full Turbo 2 parts car but ended up just selling because where I was no one could work on Rotory's. And no garage to get it fixed.
I'm stoked he was able to get $1500 for the shell , but I'm also sad because that means my dream of owning a 240sx just got a lot more expensive lol

So the oe crown Vic mesh wheels work great, and good fitment for the fc. The mirror is a stock s5. S4 and s5 have different mirrors and they are also different from the turbo 2.

Idk if this will be seen but i got some info about FC rx7’s, to my knowledge they did not come in brown for interiors, they came in blue, maroon,(which will look brown with age), black and gray .The early fc rx7’s 1986-1988 came with manual windows and locks, 1988-1999 i think are all auto. Base 1986-1988 came in 4lug (4x114) but the higher trim got 5 lug (5x114) and 1988-1990 are all 5 lug from factory. Hope this info helps, if you got anymore questions i should be able to answer them.

09:07 Japanese performance cars are mostly designed for 100 Octane, but the US uses a different unit of measurement. So 93 Octane in the US is equivalent of 98 Octane in Europe/Japan. 100 Octane would be the equivalent of 95 in the US.

Response to comment about OEM S13 wing early in the video - It comes with an OEM wing so someone can enjoy some future rust!
Also the hardest part of any home major car project is finding a place to stash all the pieces you're taking off and as well as accumulated parts you're putting on until you need them... at least it is for me... I have S13 pieces stashed all over the garage, in the house on multiple floors, etc.
Hope you're ready for winter... I know I'm not... This past week was warm, but it looks like this was the last warm weather until next year... Temps only go down from here.
@10:11impact motors throw sparks, so unless it is a brushless impact gun, using near upen gas fumes is very risky to say the least.

If you don't know the difference between Super HICAS and the normal HICAS it's that Super is electronic while the normal one is hydraulic

Japanese cars are generally tuned for 96 - 98 RON fuel, 98 RON is equivalent to 93 AKI (US fuel octane measurement)
You can work dents out of stainless trim with a conventional metal working tools. Scott on coldwarmotors shows the process during his Fury restoration

gas tank has blue annodized hardware. taht pimpin. ive seen silver, gold and black, but never blue for oem hardware thats lit
