AOKIGAHARA The Most Haunted Forest In The World DEMON CAUGHT ON CAMERA | JAPAN (BANNED VIDEO)

- In the year 864, Mount Fuji erupted violently for six months, resulting in the burial of entire villages under a massive field of hardened lava. Over the course of a millennium, a dense forest grew upon this lava field, casting its shadow on the snow-capped volcano. Officially known as Aokigahara, but commonly referred to as jukai, meaning "sea of trees," this forest became a popular hiking destination a few hours away from Tokyo in the Yamanashi prefecture. However, not everyone ventured there for the fresh air and breathtaking views. Aokigahara held a darker allure, for it had gained a dark reputation in being the most haunted forest in the world.
But how did this serene and picturesque forest at the base of Mount Fuji become so intertwined with deaths?
One theory dates back centuries to a morbid practice carried out by certain Buddhist monk sects.
In Japan, Mount Fuji and its surrounding forests, including Aokigahara, are considered sacred spaces. For more than a millennium, ascetic Buddhist monks would retreat to these forests to engage in extreme forms of self-denial and meditation that eventually led to their deaths.
According to a particular tradition, these monks would meditate in the forest for 1,000 days, subsisting solely on leaves and bark. Afterward, they would willingly be "buried alive" to continue their meditation in underground crypts. Their ultimate aim was to transform their bodies into sokushinbutsu, a type of mummy, while still alive. Although 18 of these "self-mummified" monks' remains are displayed in parts of Japan, scientists believe they were actually mummified after their deaths.
Aokigahara's prominence in popular culture played a significant role in its association. In 1960, Japanese author Seicho Matsumoto published a short story called "Tower of Waves," revolving around star-crossed lovers separated by circumstances beyond their control.
However, the book that truly propelled the "Aokigahra forest" to fame was published in the 1990s. Author Wataru Tsurumi wrote a manual an unadorned guide. "Undoubtedly, the book generated significant controversy "It even included a section about Aokigahara forest, describing it as 'the perfect place".
Apart from the historical accounts and myths, it is believed that there exists a gate to hell and a demonic entity within the Aokigahara forest. According to Japanese popular belief, if someone dies while consumed by deep feelings of hatred, anger, sadness, or a desire for revenge, their soul becomes trapped in this world and continues to wander. These souls, known as yurei, appear to those affected by the curse or who cross their path. Yurei are also depicted in various modern cultural references, including movies.
Some Japanese spiritualists suggest that the trees in the haunted forest have absorbed malevolent energy over the course of centuries.

Guys, when you are talking to spirits, try not to scream and jump every time you hear or see a response from a device. You are changing your energy and the energy of the space if you do. Also, stop asking so many questions at the same time, wait in between.... give time for them to answer.
As I was watching I was thinking they were rapid ball asking, then I noticed Steve had edited the video. 📹
They were definitely asking too many questions at once! Could be editing too, but cripes a little patience could've gone a long way.
editing
Every show I've ever seen they do this with their questions and it make me wanna bop them on the head! How could anyone, living or dead, answer questions like that? Maybe wait *at least* a couple of seconds for a response first..And yeah that jumping and yeling when they get an answer does contaminate the energy.. how do you know you're not picking up your own energy instead of the spirits. Also one thing I haven't noticed which I would sugest, is people providing a large charged battery for the spirits to use, in the room so they will leave the lights and devices alone.
Sorry for the reupload guys but YT took it down. Guess I had to make it more PG friendly. It would mean a lot if you guys rewatch and share the video 🙏 ive added bonus footage for the ones who already saw it yesterday! Like and share! Lets get this video to over 5000 thumbs up and ill go back at night during Halloween!
Let’s go 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
It wont play on my TV i wonder why!!
I don't think you should go back there sssttteeevvveeeee 😳
Hi from France 🧡😉
❤ from sabah Borneo
That’s one of the 丸金石碑(Marugane Monuments) in Aokigahara Jukai, aka Suicide Forest. I did a quick Google search and found out that these stones are actually guideposts for ascetic monks who walk through the sea of trees. They were crafted by Marukin-ko, a religious group devoted to worshipping Mt. Fuji and its divine spirits.
The top two characters are the letter 金 enclosed in a circle and the letter 詣, translating to 'Marukin pilgrimage'.
On the right side, it reads 右ぎやうば, meaning 'the practice places are on the right'. On the left side, it reads 左なるさわ, meaning 'Narusawa villages are on the left'
And on the far left, it reads 明治丗丁酉年二月廿日建之, which translates to 'Constructed on February 20, 1897'.
Woah, thank you.
thats the best info/part of this entire video. your info👌
Why are these spirits speaking in English and not Japanese???
@@rosesouza9422 There are two lore viewpoints. One is that after you die you gain the ability to speak every language. #2 You have been dead for 80+ years and you have picked up a language or two.
Arigatogoziamasu!
As a student of ecology I had trouble believing the forest was uninhabited by animals. With a quick search you'll find articles that explain the wide diversity of animal life in the forest, including bears, deer, and boar being among the largest of the mammals.
Yes I couldn't believe that statement either so I Googled it & found a rich array of animals that live there.
That's disappointing that CZcams took the first one down. I know you work hard on these videos, and then CZcams just takes them away. Thanks for re-uploading
Tell me about it!!! I spent like 15 hours editing it yet alone, flying and getting to the actual location and staying the night there for 6 hours
We appreciate you @SteveRonin
How can we watch the video that was removed?
I don't comment often Steve, but just wanted to say this was an awesome video! I really enjoyed how you showed off the natural beauty of the forest in the day time. It was very spooky at night for sure!
Your paranormal investigation video is the most awesome video I have ever seen online.
All the other ones can’t come close to yours.
The sounds were very clear.
This forest definitely haunted and have numerous entities in this forest..!!!
I love your videos Steve. You're by far my favorite to watch and I love that you always take the time to get back stories about the places you visit. Keep it up man!
What really caught my attention about this place was it’s nickname “Sea of Trees”, than I understood why they call that way. Its impressive to be surrounded by so many trees, plus rocks, roots and branches covered in green moss made me feel I was inside a fairy tale. But with sadness history. In Aokigihara, you can see positive messages strewn along the path and left behind trail markers. They remind people that life is precious. They exist to provide one last bit of hope, one last ray of light. The authors hope to reach those wandering in who never planned to wander out.
My hands get so cold when i type this comment! This is great work! The video got me very excited. It is very mysterious. This place are very huge. Life is unique and brilliant! To live, to create and enjoy life. Ba safe !
So happy you enjoyed this documentary
Yeah them drone shots are sick
There's a really good movie called The Sea of Trees obviously based on this forest you might enjoy.
Life is precious, until those in control take it away from you, and treat you like mold in a fridge.
⁰
Surely, if they were Japanese, they'd speak in their own language?
I love this episode. You guys captured a lot of things on point
Why aren’t the spirits speaking Japanese?
It's weird, but evp are almost always in the language of whoever is doing the recording/asking the questions.
I forgot the man's name, but there was an Italian scientist who recorded over a hundred thousand of them and that's one of the things he noticed.
Edit, just looked it up. Not an Italian national, but based in an Italian university. Dr Konstantine Raudive. Really wild stuff when you read about his experiments. No digital sound, everything on thick reel to reel tape, and literally hundreds of thousands of them.
He didn't claim to know what they were, he just studied the phenomenon.
we all know the universal language for the afterlife is english, like irl. duh! /s
They speak every language, demons don’t have nationalities
In the afterlife it is said that all knowledge is obtained. Which means they would be able to speak and understand any language, not just English. This is what I heard that makes the most sense. Hope this helps.
Naw , because this means it’s bulllllshido lol
Watching from the UK. Awesome video in one of Japan's amazing yet scary places. Japan is on top of my "To Go To" places, would love to surround myself in the more old and historic areas of Japan. You are great to watch and look forward to more 😀
Sounds great!
Hello UK
My best friends mother told me in Japan from the area of the forest , in winter when it gets colder , the forest has a sudden quiet mist and aura when the sun goes fully down , and it is eerie quiet for a shaman and medium to hear the ghosts whisper through out the whole night
Loved this video AND since I watch a lot of Abandoned World Explorer, LOVE seeing David participating in this. Your videos are interesting and sometimes wonder if your videos take place in New England area (ie, Massachusetts)? Your narrations are always authentic and well communicated. I enjoy your impulsive expressions as these are typically humorous. Thank you for joining the investigation(s) videos as I find these to be very interesting. I appreciate you Steve 😊
Wow the introduction was very good. I am grateful to finding such channels❤
just encountered your channel , i'm already loving it !
High quality video ,genuine content and no over reacting
First time watching and I REALLY REALLY enjoyed it. Well done guys keep going 👌
This is what paranormal enthusiasts would call a very successful investigation. Y'all did a good job, keep it up, just stay safe.
This is the first video of yours I have seen and MAN. You are very artistic with your videos - I love your style! New subscriber here 💪🏼
I have googled it and they have reintroduced wolves to Japan and there's also Asian black bears in that forest!
Brilliant. Here in Ireland a man & his wife bought a lot of property. It's called Wild Ireland. He is trying to reintroduce back to Ireland Wolves, Bears, Lynx loads of other animals and birds were a native to Ireland years ago. I've been up to wild Ireland. It's beautiful. I so love the wolves he has.
Asians Nigga bears you say??? That shit scary. I wanted to go to that forest, to smoke a blunt and have a picnic. Watch some scary movie and do some burpees. And after I done go back home and eat sleep.
@@antoinettedoyle3185I wish more people knew about wild Ireland. It's a special place and in beautiful Donegal.

Love your all your explores Steve, stay true to your heart , I'm not a convert re, the paranormal aspect, & I've spent a few cold sleepless nights alone in abandoned buildings & thought I heard voices which thankfully was just the wind playing tricks? I've had hallucinations due to meds, which is pretty scary, but saw them for what they were, just thoughts! I don't explore now for health reasons & will retire from work in a couple of years, but will carry on with exploring with you as long as you keep posting, stay safe, all the best!.
I used to watch Ghost Adventures and man you guys are complete on the set-up and devices. It's the first time watching your videos and you now got a subscriber from me. Keep it up.
Thanksxxx steve and crew ❤ top video!!
Great video Steve, thank you, i love watching you guys.. Dan, Josh, Dave and yourself, hope you are well, take care, much love xx UK 🇬🇧
I love how after all this time you are still a skeptic. Shows how legit you are. So much respect to you Steve. Love your videos. Keep up the fantastic work. Also love seeing you all together. Great message at the end too. Very powerful, thankyou.
He's "skeptic"? lmao
Heidi your good looks are beauty are unearthly, I'd date you ANYDAY ❤️
I really enjoyed this one Steve. ❤ Your closing statement was the best 👌
I visited this forest on the way to Fuji a little over 20 years ago. Didn't know anything about Japan then but seeing all the suicide prevention signs along the path, I knew to pull out my video camera. Didn't catch anything. Felt pretty serene, but very very still.
Definitely some interesting captures here, as would be expected of Aokigahara. One thing that I felt a bit skeptical about was the SLS camera picking up that green wireframe when aimed into the woods, because it looked to me like the camera was trying to force a humanoid shape out of the small tree, since it happened on that same spot multiple times and in the same general pattern. That camera type is supposed to find things that are humanoid in shape, but I think it might misinterpret data as well. Not sure if you have more footage from a different angle, or if it could otherwise be debunked or not. Still, good stuff!
Most of peoples that go there are the people that are in deep depression, some of them camp out for a few days or weeks before they decide to live or die, but most are ending up dead, is totally 😔 May they all rest in peace 🙏😌💐
Im so grateful for you're videos and the effort you put into them. Thankyou for you're positivity and making me feel happiness within you're videos. 😊😊
You are so welcome!
Excellent investigation!! So much evidence and great responses to your questions! You definitely were being protected. Thank you kind and caring spirit for having the investigators back! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Excelente investigação. 🇧🇷
That was great. Please more haunted places videos. Thanks.
Qui vient après la vidéo du grand JD ?

Really love your voice especially when you narrate the story... thanks for a free travel Steve...keep it up 👍☺️
Hi, Steve! 1st time watcher, now, forever fan!
Can't remember the time stamp, but when you showed the bouquet of flowers by the tree, it looks like the tree grew around a body. My husband and I can see feet with leafy growth around them. Also, around 40 minutes (about that time), listen closely and you should hear a moan or something like that. It sounds really paranormal!
Anyway, great video and I look forward to more and catching up on previous one's. Thank you! 👍👍👍
Rhonda ♍️
Very well done. Best all around for me.all of you were great. Loved the before and after route too, the history was excellent and the no fear, but curiosity more so, was fresh and exciting. Thank you so much. Had my attn the whole time.
Thank you very much!
you would think a mysterious entity residing in a forest in japan wouldn't be able to understand or respond in english
Why not?
@@user-vf3wr2zq5w is your brain fried?😊
Honestly, if it's a demon, it should be able to understand all languages. I don't see why they wouldn't be able to know them all.
A demon can understand any language because he is a part of the devil
I disagree. An other worldly entity would know all languages. if anything it would prove it's not human but rather a demon of some kind.
Very interesting and thought provoking video, just subscribed to you. Hi from England.
Hi Steve, watching from Texas, I love your videos, your explorations are always so interesting, great work you do!❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Steve is the #1 urbex on YT. Love all the content from Fighters & Abandoned too❤ Josh gets a little too excited with his "evidence" but he's crazy brave to go to these places😅 My nephew is stationed in Japan. He loves it❤
Truth 😂
Yesssss
Chris Hill would like to argue that claim lol...but Steve is good too
To add some explanation to why there are "blue lights" near the forest parking or some other spots in Japan, its seems they started installing blue lights back in 2005 in Nara to prevent suicide / crime and went nationwide since then.
There are lots of article about this too, try searching 'why do blue lights reduce crime' or '青色の街灯'
I loved it 😳😳😳 that was an amazing exploration, the equipment you guys had unbelievable it can catch such a clear voice. I enjoy your explorations and a mix of hunted places would be awesome to watch 👍👍👍
I love thisss!!! More vid pls I already subscribed and liked too
Wow this is amazing! The ghost answered clearly in English and with an American accent 😂
same thing pop up in my mind lol...
THIS ^. Sounded like Siri.
I was wondering how the ghosts had time to learn English too 😂
Love me some haunted explorations 👽👻 keep them coming brother 👻 and that last message was a blessing. Thank you I needed that.
More to come!
Great video and great teamwork love this show! You so amazing! Thank you so much for your insight!
You rock!
Great episode! Subbed!
Incredible investigation!!! There are probably thousands of lost souls in this forest. Centuries of death, many sad ,lonely, and many taking their own lives, maybe by hanging, strangling, on the trees. If there is evil there possible it fed on the sadness of the lost or dying. A very intense, scary investigation, great voice responses. Glad you all made it out okay. Hope you all made it clear that nothing allowed to follow any of you. Great job all!!! 👍😊❤️❤️❤️
I actually waited for the re upload!
You're the best! Do please share the video if you can :)
THANK you very much indeed for making this documentary.its been Quite interesting..stay safe whilst making your investigation videos.
Your message at the end of the video was really good and inspiring. I hopw it helps a lot of people! KEEP SMILING. ❤😁
Aokigahara also known as sùîçìɗe forest is one of the most used places for self harm. Numbers were so high in 103 that there were signs telling people to seek help and not ķìĺĺ them selves
awesome narrative history and details of the forest, what a beautiful eerie place, its amazing all these experiences caught on camera wow
Its been a while Steve good to see you again doing your thing , too cool dude you the man
I DONT SKIP ADS! YOU DESERVED IT STEVE! LOVE YOUR CONTENT ♥️
Thoroughly enjoyed the Japan experience/exploration in that forest, it is a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing Steve🙏🙏🙏 Looking forward to more more more☺☺☺
Glad you enjoyed it
I noticed spirits can speak whatever language the person asking does. It’s freaky. Also it is very sad that people feel this is the only option for them. I’m not sure how Japan is with mental health care. But seems there is still a stigma there. I hope people will get help and see how valuable they are. Especially to those that know and love them.
Me too😊
Hey Steve I really enjoy watching your videos and the different places you have been… Indiana here

Awesome! Thank you!
Watching from Colorado . Love the haunted videos, definitely more, please ❤. I have always wanted to visit the haunted places of Japan.
Watching from Victoria, BC, Canada. Great video!!
Great video! I just wanted to offer a few observations. First, the acoustics there are wild! No echo that you would expect, it's so muted because of all of the sound absorption, even as a viewer, it was unlike anything I've ever heard in a forested area.
25:45 - when you're exploring that little hollow / cave - to the left in the shot is a perfectly vertical stick that looks like it was placed there some time ago, perhaps to lift the root in order to keep it stable when the person went inside.
42:30 - did anyone else hear that sound? It sounded like some sort of animal and it was pretty loud. I'm surprised no one commented on these things.
Either way I loved that you touched on the history of the forest, and your video was very well done. New sub.
Incredible video Steve watching from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it! If you can please share the video :)
I would love to visit there, always wanted to go to Japan! 💗
Amazing video. Indefinitely more haunted videos.
I really enjoyed your trip out here, getting to see this forest. It has fascinated me since I learned about it, as all forests do. You certainly seemed to have a protector, be sure to thank/acknowledge them for their help! One suggestion though- could you please not all talk on top of each other at once, and perhaps give the entities some time to actually respond before the next guy is yelling out the next thing? I know you're excited but its a little too much at once and was a bit frustrating to watch.
When she said "you should leave", I was about to run to the entrance of the forest.😨😱
Hi Steve! It’s been a couple of years since I watched your channel. And it feels good to see your content again. It’s interesting I came across this video because you had to reupload it lol. Hope you been well

Would love to see more haunted videos , this one was fun , and a little creepy .
There is a saying in my culture that if the other side wants your spirit, it will cause you to hallucinate to think you are going the right path, but only for you to keep circling until you wind up on the other side and to the point of no return. You guys are really lucky to have this entity to protect yall. I really believe there are some spirits out there who still linger around and protect the living from the evil spirits.
let's go steve, your videos rock! muchos gracias!
Love your haunted videos also loved this one. But a tip is to ask one question at a time because if u just throw many different questions at the spirits they may find it hard to answer them all.
The ghost can understand them, she can speak English anyway. I'm sure the ghost in South America also speak English.
Love this experience.. especially it’s authenticity.. felt like was right there with y’all.. please do more videos like this!
This is so interesting, I love Japan so this is cool but also sad ;-;. I’m from Australia 😊 i mean their isn’t that much to explore here but their are some hidden gems here , loved the video 😊.

The fact that there was not a single bird makes it very obvious that it is haunted. Great video 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I've seen a lot about this forest and the movie, and I don't think I'd want to ever see it, but prayers for all that do and to go there to take their lives.
often they find cars parked there and people check out how long the vehicle is there to figure out the owners story 😢 its really sad they seriously need help, volunteers would come there to encourage people to get out of that forest 😞

The blue lights...It all started in the late 2000s, when a number of Japanese railway companies began installing blue lamps above train station platforms. It was an attempt to deter people from suicide in such places - a so-called “nudge” technique. Nudge techniques are ways of influencing behaviour that, although apparently subtle, can have surprisingly large impacts.
The. Forest is most known for being called Suicide Forest. Many people have committed suicide in these woods over centuries.
