- Tucked away in the New Territories of Hong Kong is an abandoned school with a chilling reputation: Ping Shan Tat Tak School. Founded in 1931, it was once a bustling place of learning for local children. The school grew over the years, and by 1974 it needed a new building. However, after operating for 67 years, the school finally closed in 1998 and was left to decay. That's when the ghost stories began.
These days, Ping Shan Tat Tak School isn't just an old building, it's a place of mystery and rumored hauntings. Filmmakers have even used it as a spooky backdrop. Stories of ghostly sightings and strange occurrences spread, painting a chilling picture of a once lively school. One tale that stands out is the legend of the woman in red. They say she was a teacher or maybe the principal who died tragically within the school. Now her ghost is said to haunt the hallways, a tragic figure in a crimson dress.
But the ghost stories go even further back. Some locals believe the school grounds were a burial site during the Battle of Hong Kong in 1941. Others say restless spirits from Hong Kong's past linger in the area. Among all these chilling tales, the woman in red is the school's most famous ghost. Whether the story is true or not, it has made Ping Shan Tat Tak School a place of fear, fascination, and endless curiosity.

I can confirm that no one teacher, or principals' wife, or teachers wife has died there. My uncle used to be the assistant to the Assistant Education Minister in Hong Kong during British Rule. Most explorers.wont encounter too many paranormal, unless it was confirmed/ accounted. Even thoe theres a crime scene , you may expect activity, but hard to get involved.
