I would be shocked if anyone in the world has refreshed TTops as nice as what is seen here. Certainly some people will now after seeing these videos. Really impressive as always... Not sure how on earth you can disassemble this stuff "the first time" without completely ruining everything. I'd be hopeless! Thanks for showing us how its done.
Cheers Eric.🙂
Thank you Trevor, for saving me from wet knees!
my pleasure Mate, no worries.
Trevor! I’ve watched all of your videos but never commented before. It’s become part of my Saturday morning ritual. A hot cup of coffee and Aussie Shed! Anyways, my Z was toasted in a garage fire in 2020 and I had to learn all this reassembly stuff myself. Sure wish these videos were around then! Would have made my life so much easier. If you ever come to the states and are in the Washington DC area for any reason, beers are on me!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. Cheers, mate.
My pleasure Mate, Cheers.🙂
great video Trev. Love the explanations and details. Z is coming along pretty great. Looking forward to the next update
Thanks Rob, Cheers Mate.
Very well done Trevor, thank you as always! The car is coming along great! 👍🏻
Cheers Mate, yes its getting a bit exciting here.
G’day. Thank you Trevor, for taking time and made this great video. I am an original owner of a 1991 300 ZX from 🇺🇸. Over the years, I had input in about 280,000 miles (450,616 km) of pure enjoyment on my Z. I am planning and in the process of doing researches to restore my Z back to its new condition. I have not driven the Z for many years now, it has been parking on my driveway and under a car cover. My daily car is a Lexus LS 430 and other cars. I have learned a lot from this video on how to restore the T-Top from you. Thank you again. Enjoy your beautiful Z. I just subscribed and thumb up. 🙏🫡🇦🇺🇺🇸
Back in 1996-1997, I spent a year vacationing (holidaying) in Australia. Love Australia. Beautiful country and nice people. 👍🫡

Getting closer by the minute Trevor, Great job, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Wayne, sure is. Cheers Mate.
Great vid mate. Would love to know if you're gonna do a full engine build as well.
G'day Eric, at some point I have to strip down the engine to check everything & do a minor refresh. The Engine is meant to be reasonably fresh, the way its panned out so far though I'm expecting some issues. So basically there will be something, just not sure if it will be a complete build at this stage. Cheers.
32:37 Did you have any foam cushions between these rubber plates and the painted tbar piece? I had and now i am wondering whether i should make new ones..
Hello! Did you have to resurface your glass for T-Tops? if so, how did you do it? i heard you shouldn't because it's tempered glass?
G'day Mate, I scraped them over with a Razor Blade, they had some very stubborn deposits around the edges that took a lot of scraping to remove, then I went over them with "Chemical Guys Water Spot RX" on a Buffer.
Do you still have the TT 370GT?
I do James, currently all I do is drive it. Nothing ever seems to go wrong with it. But yes, its still here lurking in the shadows, waiting to make a return.
@@TheAussieShed that’s awesome, I’ve been following you past bit to do my gallery gaskets and so on. I’ve just gone big single turbo on mine glad to know you still have it
