Even the evaluation system change because of their 9 consecutive wins, no more artist can get the award after "x" winning, I don't remember the limitation. So that other artist can have a chance to compete and to win too. It's kind of funny, if the system didn't change at that time maybe they keep winning and no others artist or group want to compete, lol.
Yeah, now you could only get 3 consecutive win in 1 show. Given how Gee dominated through December when it was released January 5th no doubt they will continue to win if they did not stopped the promotion to focus on Genie lol. Theres a reason why Gee won song of the DECADE.

there are always 3 versions of every/this story; her version, their version, and the truth. And usually the truth will have a combination of the facts minus the biased views.
the facts are quite simple
1) SNSD was preparing for their concert in China at the same time as Jessica was preparing to launch her fashion line/company
2) the company asked her to prioritize her work with SNSD. With her missing practices and whatnot, SM subsequently kicked her out of the group
3) Tyler Kwon, her bf, played a significant role in advising Jessica to continue with the launch of her fashion company
some speculations were...
1) SM didn't like that Jessica has her own venture where they would not be making any money from her company - maybe, it's plausible. Not to the point of risking the success of SNSD and kicking out one of the members though.
2) the other members were jealous of her personal success and voted to kick her out (according to the "fictional" stories in her book) - highly unlikely as the members have been each other's family for so long and every member has their own solo activities where they've always supported each other
SNSD has never talked about the incident and seems like they won't be anytime soon, or ever. Sunny, Hyoyeon, and a few other members have mentioned Jessica subtlely throughout the years in conversations and slip-ups.
One thing is for sure, no matter if we ever find out the truth about what happened... Jessica will always be part of SNSD in SONEs heart. OT9 is forever.

Jessica never portrayed herself as innocent or pure. She also exposed her own flaws (being immature with the whole group during their early days etc)

Jessica departure of the group is a mystery and a very sensitive topic, but as far as we know SM just kicked her out of the group because of her brand.
Girls Generation is one of my two favorite girl groups. They had a profound impact on KPOP today. However, while Girls Generation promoted a common style their contemporary 2NE1 promoted a different and unique style. Why have you overlooked 2NE1 and skewed understanding of KPOP history?

I have my own opinions but ill say a general statement. Jessica's Book claimed that on Sept 30, 2014 she was removed from the group because the other girls were jealous of her Brand. While SM's Statement at the time claimed that it was her recent actions that led to her removal. While they both agree that her Brand was the focal point, they differ on the cause of her removal. Jessica to this day still sticks by her point of view. While SNSD has mostly said nothing about that day. In the 8 years since, the times they were pressed for an answer, OT8 generally continued to say that they wanted to "protect" SNSD. They used the words "protect SNSD" consistently. Even at the Forever 1 Comeback they claimed that the reason why OT8 is still together is because they all agree to "protect SNSD". Coupled with some little revelations and actual Events the past 8 years, this leads people to theorize their is indeed more to this story, then what Jessica is saying. Something more complicated happened behind the scenes, and it wasent just "jealousy". This rings true because of how drastically different the Industry treats Krystal Jung which is positive, then Jessica Jung which is negative. To the people, actions speak louder then words. And in the past 8 years SNSD OT8 moved on with their lives with little drama, continuous support of their good characters, and OT8 remain very good friends. This started a gradual shift in the sentiment among the public, and the general public started giving up on it. In the real world, when accusations are thrown: it's not what you think, but what you can prove.
Jessica's claims has never been proven or supported by anyone else. Despite this, her and her Fans wont back off. However, SNSD's continued silence frustrates OT9 Fan's wishes who wish for a final resolution, and just wants their explanation. And OT8 and Baby Fans who have already accepted the situation and continued with SNSD as they are, OT8. Left as is, this continues to be a divisive topic.
Jessica’s statement resulted in a stock dip for SM worth hundreds of millions of dollars. If she was lying, why wouldn’t they sue her as they do for many former artists? Instead they blacklist her and spread rumours about her being married (nine years later…still no wedding). If they had more dirt on her, they surely would have shared it.
@@auroraasterix Well their are very easy answers for each of those. SME has actually never sued any of their Artists ever, no matter what they did or said. However, they have did countersuits to recoup damages from Lawsuits. As for the temporary Stock drop, it dropped by 4% which was quickly recovered by the end of the Month. What really hurt SME in 2014 was the turmoil with EXO, who was their most commercially successful group at that time. Kris (in May) and Luhan's (in Oct) Lawsuits dropped Stock together by 30% and it took years for SME Stock to recover from that drop.
The "blacklisting" is only an allegation spread by her Fans, and was hinted to be untrue by Jessica herself in her 2018 Lawsuit. And the rumor of her marriage was started in 2013 by Hong Kong Media who noticed Tyler hanging with Jessica's Parents and Rings on their Fingers, this was also claimed by Dispatch prior to 9/30. SM never claimed that. In fact, SM's official statement was to deny that Jessica and Tyler were dating and they were just friends. They never budged from that stance. In 2016, when Jessica finally admitted she was dating Tyler, she said it herself that SM told her to deny her dating and keep it a secret.
Im no SM apologist, but alot of things people wanted to believe against SM turned out to be untrue or propaganda.
She renewed her contract with other members, SM and members kicked her out, she wrote it clearly in Bright book
But since then, members and SM never talk or mention Jessica, even number 9. So it's still a mystery from their side. We only know Jessica's reason and story, but I don't believe in their bond anymore, they had in 2007-2014 until 0930 happened
