- In this video I gut the remains of the dead Baby Grave Digger and install 4wheel steer on the Jeep Rubicon, I promise Digger will be back with a vengeance but for now its a parts donor for this awesome project! super easy and fun install and the rear steer works awesome!
Awesome! 😁👍👍 I did my Axial Deadbolt 4 wheel steer
Nice 👍
Everyone feels like that when trying four wheel steering for the first time, it seems like to much work and to hard to use fluidly. I recommend only use it when you really need it then you will slowly learn to steer the rear as accurately as your front. Great build man 👍🏻👍🏻
So cool that you had all this stuff already outside to build on.
Thanks, it was lucky that my wife never used that flower bed lol 👍🏻
Yea v2 would be all around better as the ch3 switch is in a better spot too 👍
That opening was AWESOME😂😂😂😂
Glad you liked it 😄👍🏻
It would also be easier with a v2 then you could set the end points and set center
Nice installation thanks for sharing 😊👍
With the rear steering conversion you could run OD gears front and rear, finish it off with a brushless motor, that handy dandy furitek 3s main board and a 3s battery. 😂 I think that would be pretty interesting. A scx24 rock bouncer or racer if gears got done 😂
Well I got a couple furitek items on the way so I’m sure the Jeep will continue to change and grow haha I like your idea! 😄👍🏻
@@UpperLeftRC well thanks sir. Cant wait to see what it turns into!
The wheel weights didn't work because the heavier ones you have are only made for stock wheel, its because the hex doesn't stick out is why it doesn't fit you'd have to grind down the part on the outside around the hex not bevel thenhex head if that makes sense
Redcat has a radio set that is set up for rear steer and the receiver is tiny. I’m using one with my Gen8 with rear steer and one in my clodbuster. Puts the selector button under your thumb on the radio. 4 modes front steer, crab walk, four wheel, rear only.
That’s a dope set up! I might need to look into that for my Gen8 as well, hanks for the info 🤘🏼😎
@@UpperLeftRC it’s a very tight fit. I got a servo on axle servo mount from shapeways made a bracket so the servo stands up on end in between the rear shock towers. And Stampede rear camber links for steering links.
Love it.. now I Am going to have to do it to my deadbolt/C10 project...😆😁 Great job on the outdoor course by the way RC sparks was also my inspiration in building mine..
Thanks bud! He inspired a lot of us I think 😎👍🏻
Great video. I know I would mess it up turning too lol. You'll figure it out though.
Thanks bud, I’m glad I’m not the only one who kinda struggles with 4 wheel steer lol 😄👍🏻
Put rear steer on baby digger to be like a real monstertruck.
That’s the plan once all the parts arrive 🤘🏼😎
There has to be a way to splice the signal that goes to the front servo and send it to the rear one, that way it'll be proportional, like on the Rocksta. Although maybe you need to invert the signal?
Oh yeah! Got it. Splice the cable that is going to the front servo so that you can plug it into both servos. And in the rear servo, take out the screws and invert how the motor is soldered. That should do the trick :D
Excellent idea and suggestion but because I suck at 4 wheel steering I like being able to have the rear steer turned off, your idea would work awesome for a full time 4 wheel steering rig 😄👍🏻
@@UpperLeftRC yeah, I didn't want say anything but you have to get some practice man 😂
@@AlbertoNoys Super complicated. Get a splitter and a reverse signal wire and you save yourself the hassle of souldering the worlds tiniest servo wires
@@docedits7294 :) how would you reverse the signal wire? :) it's not as on the engine where it is "+" and "-" wires you are changing
Flysky gt5 has 4ws mix controls. Crab walk, 4w opposite steer, just rear and just front. It also has a dial to steer the rear wheels at the same time as the front. Did you figure this out eventually?
Maybe a self cantering control for the rear steer
What, did I miss something, what happened to Digger? Great work bro!!!🤘🤘🤘
Thanks bud and yeah Digger became a donor for parts since I have plans to mod and build it back up better than ever haha just waiting on some stuff for it 😄👍🏻
😂 the jeep on the treadmill 👌
Awesome mod,cool RC,subbed
I appreciate the support! 😄👍🏻
get a splitter and a reverse signal wire and itll all be on steering. No switches
Really nice❗❗❗
What port in the rear stear or you plug the rear servo in is it in the aux port
I get my furitek today. Now if I knew which brushless motor and motor mount to get
2FM RC has some great videos on furitek stuff, I should have mine by the end of April so if you don’t have any luck with info I’ll be doing a video with it as soon as I get mine 😄👍🏻
How did you mount the rear upper links to the stock servo tray?
I don’t really remember at this point but I think I mounted them each on the outside of the center mount point with the screws meeting in the middle of the try holes
Can you help we got new ESC and is not labeled the same as old one
So I guess they sent the wrong ESC and are sending radio that will match the new ESC horizon has been great to work with. All parts have been free.
You are flippin hilarious
Thanks bud! 😄👍🏻
That’s cool an all.. But wouldn’t it shorten you’re runtime
I never noticed it shortening the run time, also I run 900mah batteries in it
What is rotating mass with the scx24s
Not sure I understand the question / not sure how to measure it?
Gain berham Lincoln
😂
