- The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye (AHE) is the newest variant of the E-2 aircraft platform, replacing the E-2C Hawkeye. It features a state-of-the-art radar with a two-generation leap in capability and upgraded aircraft systems that will improve supportability and increase readiness. Key E-2D objectives include improved battle space target detection and situational awareness, especially in the littorals; support of Theater Air Missile Defense (TAMD) operations; and improved operational availability. The E-2D reached IOC in October 2014, and the Navy continues to invest in future capabilities to support command and control requirements for the strike group and the entire force.

Yeah E-2 are just a early airborne warning and submarine’s actually fear the P8 Poseidon 737-800ERX
Sensors, data fusion and command and control are the heart of all modern warfare. If you cannot see'em you cannot kill them. The E-2D is a dramatic improvement for fleet defense.
One of my top 5 favorites.
The fast jets get all the glory while the Hawkeye does all the work
Sounds alot like football.
It’s the helicopter Seahawk that Subs fear the most.
P3 or P8 are the sub hunters, not the E2.

To też kupią Polska wystarczy rozmowa szefa MON z departamentem stanu USA i z ministrem obrony USA. Pierwsze używane a drugie faza nowe. Jestem za tym. Dużo by to zmieniło przestrzeń powietrzną Polski i naszych sąsiadów. Powinien szef MON negocjować z Amerykanami za pomoc przekazaną Ukrainie ten sprzęt. A za to powini dać pomoc Polsce postaci dwóch samolotów awcsa C-2 używane. A następne zamówione nowe w USA produkowane i w Polsce. Serwisowane w Polsce i naprawiane razem z częściami zamienymi i pakietem logistycznym. Tak jak Saab 340 to nie zły zakup nie są zle samoloty też by można było pomyśleć na zakupię i nowych takich maszyn i Polsce produkować. Jestem za tym. Trzymam kciuki za systemem zbrojeniowym w Polsce. 😊😊
they had the 56A 427's when I was turning a wrench on them in the early 90's. I thought they upgraded the engines with the newer 6 blade props.
They have 8 blade props now
Went from four blades to eight blades... I worked with them in mid 80's with the four blades that was a pain in the back, you had to send the four blades in for repair, had to be a blallaced unit .... 😮😅

One of these were flying in and around Moldova last week.
Don't think it was this plane when they have jstar,poseiden8a and p3 orions and global hawks available nevermind rq170sor 180s if they are deploying such assets.

AI voices are getting harder to detect, but this one gives me the uncanny feeling that makes me almost certain this is not a human speaking. It's not a deal-breaker, but it is distracting me from the information being given.

I was in a couple of squadrons and performed maintenance on the aircraft on the thumbnail and a few of the ones on the video. They are pretty reliable but a lot of work
E2s are vulnerable to getting blown out of the sky by long-range air and surface launched missiles. Russia recently lost 2 A-50 radar platform aircraft to western long range SAMs supplied to Ukraine.
The aurora is the best of all!!!!!!!!
