E-2C Hawkeye | Stock Footage

Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft. This twin-turboprop aircraft was designed and developed during the late 1950s and early 1960s. E-2C carries three primary sensors: radar, IFF, and a passive detection system. These sensors are integrated through a general purpose computer that enables the E-2C to provide early warning, threat analyses, and control of counter action against air and surface targets.

This certainly sounds like a promotional video from Grumman selling the improvements of the E-2C over the E-2B. Circa mid 1970's. "Capable of automatically controlling at the same time every single interceptor the Navy owns (Grumman F-14 Tomcats, of course) in a Battle Space of a gazillion cubic nautical miles, all by whiz-bang Link 4 data link. It's so automated, you only need well-trained chimpanzees in the back."
