The sith were using swords long before they were introduced to lightsabers. It's said some sith prefer swords because of the feeling of their enemies warm blood spraying across their faces.
Definitely could have to do with the lack of ionizing radiation. Letting the blood flow and endorphins escape terror evaporate
I always assumed the Sith Lanvarok was a weapon used by Sith who had advanced telekinesis. Able to control the path of the disk while they traveled at terminal velocity. The terror of having them fired randomly in your direction is one thing. Imagine the projectiles slipping past all the other combatants and coming straight for you.
Most of these sith weapons I never even heard about… these should be talked about more often

I always thought it was badass how they had dark infused blades they give so much personality to each sith and I believe it’s just so cool and believe each blade could have its own force abilities
I would probably end up using an ancient, force-embued steel sword, simply because of their reputation for being highly durable and long-lasting weapons. I'd probably have a shock whip, too.
As much as I am a fan of the lightsaber, if a poison dipped Sith War Blade can easily own a lightsaber in combat then I'm all for the Sith War Blade. Not to mention the wrist mounted razor blades sound totally awesome. All in all, I'd be armed just like the Predator, a Sith Predator...that has a nice ring to it. My guess is u can deflect blasters away from u, or block them with a war blade, but can't redirect the fire.
So it's a trade off I guess?
Ofc on a low technology world with slug throwers and few of the batteries that run light sabers, war blades may be a obvious choice.
I like lightsabers but their something to be said about a physical style sword. I love the idea of sith swords and jedi force blades. My own headcanon i imagine somewhere in galaxy there are very very few people out there that still know how to forge such blades but said forge masters are extremely picky on who is worthy to wield their blades.
My favorite non lightsaber weapon is the Merry Maker from out of the shadows. Some kinda killer frisbee/chakram that returns to the thrower and can be controlled with a special glove. Even the nihil are afraid of it
I’d go for the wrist-mounted razor blades, personally. There’s something to be said for being able to take out your enemies from afar. And if my friends happen to be in the area, as you said, so be it.
Definitely need a movie specifically to showcase the sith and history.
I'd use a light saber/alchemy sword in one hand and a whip fused with beskar and sith alchemy in other hand while using my force abilities to augment the movement of the whip giving me a force barrier around it so it would be resistant to other force users, an extension of the barrier that every force user generally puts around themselves then forgo the whip if I was fighting someone with a stronger force connection as my augmentation would weaken my other abilities and distract me because I would need to have continuous concentration on the whip
These are Phenomenal Vids. Also, I'd personally train with all of them and likely carry multiple Weapons into Combat.
I really like the idea of poison daggers being throw with the focus and anger of the dark side. All I’m saying is it would be cool to see a sith throw one of these from around a corner, like in Wanted, when the were curving bullets. Rather throwing poison daggers that can curve around allies to hit their enemies. That would be awesome to see on a battlefield. Too bad a Jedi should be able to deflect it with the force. Unless their back is turned 🤔 and they don’t sense the poison blade hurling behind them. Personally I’d just settle for a standard red lightsaber. If I could I’d try to made a dark saber because it’s my favorite weapon. My second favorite weapon is Kratos magic ice axe.😂
Yes, Sidious had grown too powerful for lightsabers and thus mocked them, but with all his great power he was too weak and to inferrior to stop the almighty hurling technique the greatest technique in all of existence. Which lead to his ultimate demise. 😏
I think all of these weapons are fascinatingly cruel. I’d like to see one, and maybe hold one, but idk about owning one. Idk about having to use it either. Especially that whip thing.

Which is stronger. Lightsaber or force imbued weapons? I know the lightsaber is more flexible, because no matter which way you turn the blade, it will cut/burn you with the least effort.

If the blades could exist that deflect blaster bolts then I could see them being superior to all blades!
Small conventional saber with probably a hand axe or scythe would probably be my kinda weapons
So, certainly I am going to say I favor the lightsaber, but if I'm going to use something other than that, I like Sith tremor swords. Since they weren't mentioned, to the best of my recollection, a tremor sword was basically a Dark Side-imbued vibro sword, meaning it could deflect lightsabers, and probably be poisoned. Still, I think my own favorite Sith weapon is the misnamed Sith Amulet. These gauntlet-like, arcane devices could focus the Dark Side, and even allow energy blasts, likely a bit sooner than some were able to facilitate Force lightning, and Exar Kun even used one to destroy a Sith spirit. My own preferred loadout would be an Amulet and a lightsaber, or an Amulet and a Sith tremor sword.

I concur. Always like the dooku/Vader thing of adjustable lightsaber length to throw off opponents. However, options are nice. A nice, thin, long curved hilt on a scimitar would be my choice.

I would say, lightsaber over power dark weapon, or it should, given the need to adapt with hyperspace technology. However, in turn light saber cannot be cursed in the way weapon can and having a dark side weapon or relic just exponentially increase your array of tool in the dark side like the amulet of thebrakghul and what not. The two should not be separate a sith should of probably have a dark side weapon for ita utility and a lightsaber for combat. It would be meek to say light saber we're not the most powerful thing they can use given that's all they use now. That's would have to be the reason
War blade for me
Like you sai the sword there been around a while , it was eazy to buy or making your own metal blade . Unlike the lightsaber the material are hard to find .
I’d lean more towards a traditional lightsaber but I’d have a more protected dark side infused guard (katana double hand grip) on the handle to avoid my hands from being cut off and as a weapon accessory have dark side poison infused ninja stars as my back up to throw as projectile weapons.
Could you imagine the sheer confusion and fear a Jedi would have if you were to wield one of these ancient blades against them with their lightsaber? It would be really crazy something I would like to see honestly
How about to enhance wirh Force Weapon (core ability) the Force Imbued blade more, this Weapon will be too powerful and too great for lightsabers, like you making this sword for striking strength and hax
It's pretty hard to beat a lightweight Omni directional nearly unstoppable energy blade. The ability to break lighsaber blades is a plus buuut they only have one or two cutting edges per blade. They are heavy, and no matter how strong the weilder, slower than a lighsaber. This may not matter depending on the match-up but all things being even I'm going to bet on a lighsaber being used with makashi or Ataru over a sith sword or war blade.
Now if the lighsaber is being weilded with juyo...naw the sword is losing 9 times out if 10. It's too unpredictable and fully uses the Omni directional quick nature of the lightsaber to move in ways a metal sword simply cannot.
This only pertains to purly sword combat though. If the weilder of the sith blade can also throw some crazy sith sorcery hoodoo at the lighsaber guy...idk some of that shit is pretty nuts especially in the old OLD times but that's a separate discussion.
The wrist mounted blade launcher is originaly from the star wars D20 tabletop game and makes an appearance in the fantasy flight game as well both games have mechanics to influence or direct the blades with the force. So they could be aimed though they were also just blasted out in a spray as well.

The Sith swords likely fell out of favor due to the time and resources required to make them while I don't what goes into the making of them I doubt that it's simpler than constructing a lightsaber as the swords required knowledge of Sith alchemy to create a art that became rarer as time went on.
On the swords themselves they're superior to lightsabers in a lot of ways not could that block sabers the heavier weight likely gave them a advantage in dueling additionally they acted as amplifiers for dark side powers as many ancient Sith Lords could channel force lightning through their blades often more powerfully than if they were do it without the sword.
Palpatine was not too good for a lightsaber. He didn't demonstrate a mastery of sith force techniques. He lacked the strength of the sith who came before him.

Well they're really not. They're heavier, harder to manuever, and are just unnescary. Compare the things lightsaber's do to just some heavy blade...
Truth be told, I would want to wield both a Sith Lightsaber and a Sith Sword/Dagger. Maybe even create a hybrid hilt design via Sith Alchemy.

Because the Jedi still numbered in the thousands; most Sith cults of that era could only boast at most a few hundreds of members. They would have been annihilated and they knew it. Often lightsabers "can" be treated as katanas for the way is swung with the arm to hands or similar to fencing with a longsword or rapier(including real saber, foil etc.) if the lightsaber can be short enough they can be treated like a universal short sword.
Also the lightsabers are not unsheathed like real katanas(Can be done yet usually you know how they do it).
the lightsaber can be treated like a bat, a longsword/rapier/katana, sledge hammer swinging.... or a German longsword swinging way.
This is just a thought idea of knowledge with no right or wrong way within that way of swinging, holding is different.
If there are beskar handgloves underneath something flexible, etc, the user could hold the plasma of a lightsaber, or etc.
I'm just saying and I can only be interested about the shape and mechanics at best and not extreme.
Tools for shapes and causing you to smile is ok yet it depends on the intent.
Lightsabers can be used as a welding item, a tool for exploration, tool for defense, etc.

I was a Sith from age (6-16) but I have & using my spiritual infused (My soul)/blood enhanced lightsaber gifted to me by my mother my sister was to also do the same ritual I do for her lightsaber but she's been brainwashed by those loyal to the (federal)Democrats my sister is Sith/ half demon pure blood she was made that way while still the my mother's woon by me 😏
