Italian Cream Cake:

Momma's English Muffin Loaves:
- 2 Pkgs. Active Dry Yeast
- 6 C. Flour
- 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 2 tsp. Salt
- 2 C. Milk
- 1/2 C. Water
- Cornmeal
Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda.
Heat liquids until very warm. (120℉ - 130℉)
* I only heated mine to 115℉
Add to dry mixture. Beat Well.
Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff batter.
Spoon into 2 (8 1/2 X 4 1/2) loaf pans that have been greased and sprinkled with corn meal.
Sprinkle tops with cornmeal.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.
Bake at 400℉ for 25 minutes. Remove from pans and cook on rack.

Happy Sunday 😁 It's overcast and drizzling in San Antonio. This weather is all over the place!! Yummy 😋 desserts and that bread is very intriguing. After years of baking, ive learned to never follow baking times. Most cookies, unless they are big, take 10-12 mins. I think im going in the kitchen to see what I can whip up. Have a great week 🤗

Italian cream cake was my sisters favorite. I always buy it and eat it on her birthday. I’m going to try the English muffin bread too! The cookies looked interesting. But at the moment I don’t have any tahini. Have a great week!

Everything looked delicious. My Mom use to make Italian Cream Cake I love them. In-between the layers she added nuts & coconut my mouth is watering thinking about it. Have you heard of Crazy Cakes or Depression Era Cake. No eggs nor dairy. Excellent cake simple to make I use it instead of cake mixes. I add cinnamon to the chocolate one. The English muffin bread is brilliant. Breakfast sandwich would be great using it. Hope you have a great week! ❤

@@jess_andtheboys My childhood & still best friend can't have dairy her Mom made it. I was shocked after watching Mom bake my whole life the cake without dairy was so good. I'm definitely going to try the bread. I love to try different stuff.
