How to Make Lemon Loaf at Home (ASMR)

An easy recipe that you can make with simple ingredients at home. You don’t need to go to Starbucks for this dessert anymore. Prepare quickly and enjoy the fresh taste. If you are tired of the heat and looking for a dessert to chill, you should definitely try this recipe.

Ingredients
Cake
- 200g sugar (1 cup) (7 oz)
- 5g lemon zest (½ tbsp) (~1 lemon) (0.17 oz)
- 110g butter (room temperature)(½ cup)(4 oz)
- 30ml oil (2 tbsp)
- 3 eggs
- 30ml lemon juice (2 tbsp)(~1 lemon)
- 200g flour (1 ¼ cup) (7 oz)
- 5g vanilla extract (1 tsp) (0.17 oz) or Vanilla powder
- 5g baking powder (1 tsp) (0.17 oz)
- 3g salt (½ tsp) (0.1 oz)
- 120ml milk (½ cup)
Frosting
- 120g powdered sugar (1 cup)(4.2 oz)
- 10 ml lemon juice (2 tsp)
- 10 ml milk (2 tsp)
Bake 160°C (320°F) for 40-50 mins
Mold size: 9.8" to 4.3" and 2.3" depth ~ (25cm 11cm 6cm)

How to cook
- Grate the zest of 1 lemon.
- Mix lemon zest and sugar.
- Add butter and oil and mix well.
- Add the eggs one by one and mix until the egg disappears completely.
- Add lemon juice.
- Add flour, baking powder, vanilla powder and salt through a sieve. Mix until combined.
- Add milk and mix until well combined making sure to scrape down the bowl.
- Transfer to a cake mold lined with baking paper.
- Bake in an oven at 160 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
- Allow to cool in the mold. Set over a wire rack.
Frosting:
- Add the powdered sugar, lemon juice and milk to the bowl beat together until smooth.
- Pour the frosting on the cake.
- Ready to serve.

200 gr of flour is a generous 1 1/2 cups. I made this Lemon Loaf yesterday using 195 gr flour and 3 tsp lemon zest. Nice video and delicious bread! It's even better a day later.

Thank you for the recipe. I've tried so many lemon cake recipes and this by far is my favorite, moist and light. The other recipes I've tried are too heavy and more pound cake like, which I don't care for.

Very good recipe! Super moist & fluffy, not crumbly. For those concerned, don't worry when you add the lemon juice and everything curdles. Just whisk it really well and move on. It comes out perfect. I used a slightly smaller pan and would've liked the slices even taller, so I may try scaling it up and using a little more batter.

Best lemon cake that I’ve ever had. Not overly sweet, just right, and moist, despite my oven mishap, I ended up baking the cake for 1 hour, before the cake tester comes out clean. I will keep this recipe for my go-to lemon cake, maybe even use the cake itself to make Petit four. Thank you for

Delicious. Excellent. .....we ate umpteen banana breads during Covid....and lost my taste for them now. I was looking for some other kind of loaf dessert to make and this one is divine ! So lemon-y and moist....and not heavy at all. This is my go-to recipe from now on. When I know company is coming this will be what I have for my guests. The conversions are in the description below and was not hard to follow at all. My husband loves it and it is a winner !!!! Thank you !

Did you add the milk after the flour? I’d have put milk before the flour

Where did you use the vanilla, or you did it step by step ? And not look at the list of ingredients
I added the vanilla extract as part of the “wet” ingredients, so I mixed it in after the eggs.

Made this today it was great thank you so much. Just a tip for US ovens is to adjust the cooking time to one hours. I also adjusted the temperature to 350 for the last 10 minutes. So good

What size pan did you use? The one in the video looks extra Long.
