    I listened to Pat Hughes and Ron Santo call almost every at bat. Say what you will, but I don't think there has ever been a better Cubbie. The pop and the hop. When he looks into the camera and thumps his chest twice, he always said "For you Mama." That was the one, the other, was for Harry. Harry LOVED Sammy!!
    Nobody on the planet calls a homer like Pat!!

    Sosa hit a lot of 500 footers during 98-01 that don't get the recognition and playback that McGwire's got. perhaps because it's harder to tell where a ball lands at Wrigley

    Holy crap I forgot about so many of these goofy little SportsCenter homerun saying that they used to have. I remember say hello to my little friend in the Scarface voice, I remember get off me boy!!! But I totally forgot homerun the hoohme rrrrun. Idk how to even try to type that. Where he does the phlegmy hhhome and then rolled r run haha. Good times.

    It's a little surreal to watch them count his career stats, almost feels like "the fix was in" and everyone knew he would have huge stats.
    Maybe I haven't heard someone get a milestone recently, but feels like they're more of an afterthought nowadays.
