If the colors look off during this playthrough it's because my PS5 had HDR on so color saturation is a bit high. We tried to correct it in post.

Seeing the Classic style Sonic game with the actual multiplayer option looks bizarre at first but REALLY fun!
Its kinda janky, you can get reset many times if neither or only 1 of you know what your doing

22:52 Fun Fact: the battle bot Eggman grabs here is actually YOUR Battle bot you can make in battle mode. If you haven't messed with the customization yet it'll just be the default bot so that's why it looks generic here. Super cool detail though. You can even comeback later and it'll change the bot appearance accordingly.

I would have to say my go-to game when I think of Sonic is Sonic Heroes- it was my first Sonic game, and my sister and I poured HOURS into that game together. Objectively, I know it's not the best, but I'll always have a soft spot for it.
Ah yes, another fellow Sonic Heroes enjoyer. Heroes is also my go-to Sonic game, the first game I ever played in my childhood

Sega actually renamed him for this game. He’s called Fang the Hunter now.
Also, the 30th anniversary comic “Seasons of Chaos” by IDW uses his japanese name, Fang. And since the IDW comics are canon, that means Fang is his official name now.

This looks so good! I remember playing the classic Sonic games on my Xbox because I never had a Sega Genesis when I was a kid! Those classics were so much fun, so I’ll have to get this one sometime soon!
It is NOT worth 60 bucks. 20 or 10 is more likely. It plays terrible.
I played to act 8 and refunded the game on steam, I have almost 150 hours in sonic mania and I've played 1 2 3&K tens of times each. This is not a good 2D sonic game.

There are quite a few Sonic Breakout flash games I played during childhood so Breakout just suddenly being in this game made me smile
10:12 Bros just discovered the easiest speedrun strat! When you teleport to a player, you gain their currently velocity. Because the velocity of a player is super-high when using bullet, but not actually using the move doesn't stop your speed again, you get sent flying. Can't wait to see how insane co-op speedruns can get!
I don’t care if this is a bug or an intended feature, this is a great move and great game.

That butterfly WAS very Tippi-reminiscent, yeah. We're on the same page about SPM, too - Maybe one day they'll give that one the port/remake treatment too, I'd love to see it on a modern console someday.

My very first gaming system was the Nintendo GameCube, and my first Sonic game was a compilation of 7 games: Sonic Mega Collection. I did try out Sonic Heroes at one point too, but I never owned a copy.

I've seen this game get a lot of shit for some reason but imo, it's the true Sonic 4. Fully new classic Sonic game with level design in line with the classic games and gorgeous visuals that feels amazing to play, genuinely a 10 for me.
