Honestly, for all the hype they gave the elephant powerup, I think drill and bubble are some of my favorite powers in the series to date. Mario has a lot of powerups that are either "a weapon" or "full-blown flight and slowfall that invalidates all platforming" whereas bubble and drill both change the way you can navigate the level in interesting ways
Agreed, Drill in particular is sick.

In the first world, you missed a secret exit in the bulrush express, it leads to multiple levels.
True it gives you idk two more levels and a expert badge
Then a special world area
And in world 4 in shova mansion you missed the secret exit to get invisibility
I have yet to buy wonder, but I think this game is gonna go up as one of my favorites.

The desert was easily my favorite world in the game with Ninji Jump Party easily being my favorite level in the game.
Gotta love how Prince Florian started out as Mickey and ended up becoming Goofy at 21:41
Also, 8:47 that’s a childhood callback! For a couple years growing up, I played age of empires 2 campaigns and was easily entertained typing in the different taunts. I got the definitive edition a couple years back and have gradually been grinding out all the campaigns again.

I love the callback with cosmic/shadow mario also the very last level of the game contains the same millions of cloned from galaxy
Right now im replaying SMB Wonder as Yoshi (which can be a challenge getting to secrets) and i literally just finished world 3 and finished the jewel block cave level
As for the secrets, once i had to get a shell from nearly the start of the level to its end
I didn't know that death pits have a fade to them while secerts don't! That's such a nice detail!

Also that's quite challenging but honestly I always loved the Ice Flower and now the Bubble Flower but the Tanooki is also a lot of fun
the amount of Mario sunshine love was crazy, there were so many motifs in the music. I think this is probably the most they've recognized sunshine since the GameCube

If you really want to 100% the game you should always buy some random stands when you are maxed out on purple coins. If you "waste" some by being at 999 you're gonna have to farm some later, because getting all stands is part of the 100%.
You missed a stage. And an entrance to the special levels. This one has a wonder flower that makes everything goes fast.;)
I just did that stupid Pipe Search Party stage this morning, and I took way longer than I probably should have. The enclosed pipe area and that foreground one both got me.
Also, I'd totally be down for a Yoshi's Island playthrough someday. That's easily one of my favorite games of all time.
For the spring feet badge, you can hold down/left trigger to crouch and make your hops a lot shorter.

Prince Florian strikes me as someone that would have Kathie Soucie's "little boy" voice as his sound. If you've ever heard her do it in any show (like Phil and Lil on Rugrats), you'd recognize it instantly.

Top five power-ups:
Superstar, because it's temporary invincibility.
Frog suit, because it makes water levels easier, but it sucks on dry land.
Fire flower, so I can burn my enemies to a crisp.
The tanooki leaf and the Cape feather are tied for second, because one allows you to fly for a few seconds, and the other does the same, but gives you the ability to glide.
And my number one Mario power up is without a doubt the hammer Brothers suit. You can kill just about anything with those hammers, but it's so exceedingly rare that it really hurts when you get hit and lose it!
A Yoshi's Island playthrough would be great! If you're going for 100%, it is fairly challenging (especially the secret levels).
The Elephant Apple is a good Mario power-up. I'd have to say my favorites are the Cape Feather, Hammer Bros Suit, Tanooki Suit and Magic Carrot. The power-ups that made you fly/glide/hover always seemed pretty useful when traversing a level.

16:30 while i like every mario power up and all of the new ones in this game are fun, i wouldnt say the elephant is even in my top 5. My top 5 would be the star, fire flower, ice flower/penguin, super acorn, and the drill mushroom
(The cloud flower or the red star would be in my top 5 if it wasnt for the fact that you cant take them in and out of lvls since that isnt how galaxy works. Still great power ups though)

Top 5 powerups? Honestly really hard to pick. Wing Cap and Metal Cap both jump to mind immediatly. Goomba's Shoe is rad. Fire Flower is one of the most iconic powerups in all of gaming. I suppose FLUDD doesn't reasonably count. My last choice is gonna be one that people will largely disagree with but I actually really love the Spring from Galaxy and Galaxy 2.
The Spring Feet badge reminds me of the Rabbit from Run 3, if anyone's played that.

Top 5 powerups of all time!? Way too many parameters there that make things tricky to think of, I would need a full tier list to work with. If you make a mario powerup tier list I will also do that tier list. Though I will say that Elephant probably doesn't make Top 5 because while I like it in general it's actually one of my lesser-liked powerups from this game since Bubble and Drill are both so cool.
the slowdown section is always fun in these videos because i have a chrome plugin for 3x youtube speed and the slowed down wonder flower section is like, a very similar speed to just normal mario wonder speed.
19:41 looks more azure to me, maybe dark aqua. dark colours make it hard to tell but it looks about as blue as mario looks yellow. anyway paper mario 64 calls them gloombas, though i don't know if they have a name change when they come from Dry Goombas
I loved the bouncy mushroom in certain situations, it pairs very well with the Drill Mushroom!
yeah i would recommend the fungi mines asap, even arguably before world 3 but uh, kind of late on that information. anyway, you get a really nice badge imo, even if i'm not sure if you specifically will be interested in using it. you'll see what it is.
