- Visiting Remy's Deep Dish Pizza & Bar in Adelaide, South Australia to try Australia's First (and ONLY!) Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza Challenge! Brave diners have only 30 minutes to finish a 2.5kg Chicago style deep dish pizza of choice (I went with "The King of All Pizzas" loaded with pepperoni), a side of shoestring fries, and 1 liter of beer! Winners earn their meal for free, some serious street-cred, and a spot up on Remy's Wall of Fame!

I'm born and raised in Chicago and have been going to Giordano's for over 30 years. I can tell you with 100% certainty that they put double mozzarella on your pizza to try to tip the scales. A pizza with that much damn cheese is really fucking hard to eat. You did a fantastic job.
I agree. I've had my fair share of deep dish pizza over the years and not a single one of them ever contained the amount of cheese that this one had.

They did her dirty with the cheese. There is normally half as much. They were trying to mess her up. She rocked as usual!

Another Chicagoan here. I concur with my ChiTown compatriots here that they tried to put the fix in with that cheese.
HOW! just HOW!. The beer was pretty much as big as you. Half a medium Giordano's nearly killed me. Phenomenal achievement there, I am in awe. 👏

I'm a 300+ lb man with a legendary appetite. I had a small pizza once a long time ago at your establishment. I was full for nearly 12 hours.

That cheese was insane! When it gets to that chewy stretchy point it really can be scary to swallow it because sometimes it wants to just slowly stretch instead of going down. Amazing job Katina, that was a huge pizza and a huge beer!!!

oi. fuck finishing your plate. I'm so obese that I have been able to stop eating for the past week to help me make my credit card payments. Trust me when I say that if you're full, you're full. The only exception is if you (at 5'4, maybe?) havent met 1500 calories, you should add more fat to your meals. im personally taking 3oz of olive oil to prevent muscle waste, but that's beside the point. fat is nutritionally important and eating only as much as you need as equally so.

I ate an entire large 34" thin crust once. About an hour later, started feeling delirious, my breathing became fast & shallow, and I was in a cold sweat. This lasted 2 hours. It definitely wasn't as impressive or glorious as what she did, for sure.
Thin crust is honestly kids stuff compared to this deep dish beast of a pizza.

I always worry about the choking hazard watching these contests. Glad you’re a pro and didn’t panic too much. I once choked while drinking soup of all things, it was scary as hell.

The only two times I seriously choked on food, it was on bacon. The most recent (years ago now) was really scary, cafe employee doing the Heimlich on me while I was trying to fish the offending piece out between two fingers of my other hand... I was SO close to going unconscious when it finally came out! I still eat bacon, and can TRUTHFULLY say I love it more than life itself!

Girl I'm of Italian descent and originally from Chicago, but would've only been able to eat one slice of that pizza and only some of the fries lol. The fact that you downed a whole plate of fries, an entire deep dish and all of that beer is beyond impressive! I'm definitely a lightweight compared to you haha.

There is a thing called tolerance. Some people have alcohol tolerance in their DNA. I blew a legally dead one time. The cop did not understand how I was standing and talking.
Her whole chanbel is a death wish. She is a heallthy weight now, but consuming these high fat, carb and processed foods is going to take a toll on her body. It's utter madness to put her body through these challenges simply for youtube fame and very sad to see she puts herself at risk of so many health complications. If it was an occasional challenge as part of a food based channel it wouldn't be so bad, but looking at how many of these huge, fatty, salty eating challenges she does is worrying for her physical health.
I drank 3 of those on Friday then met up with another group for a pint on the way home, cheers

It looks legit. I grew up in Chicago. If it’s modeled upon Giordano’s it has a crust under rye sauce & pepperoni so it’s a stuffed, not deep dish. I’ve never been able to have more than three slices of Giordano’s!

People who attempt these challenges tend to massively stretch our their stomachs with water and such, tend to eat incredibly healthily otherwise, and can do schedules of famine before feasts.

That first cheese pull made me go from fairly full to instantly being ravenously hungry again. Good lord.. I'd do that challenge knowing I'd miss the deadline AND getting a heart attack.

I lived in Chicago for a couple of years in the 80s and ate at a mom and pops place (Palermo's ?). I remember eating one slice of the deep dish pizza pie and I was done. Also, it was the most delicious pizza I've ever eaten. Memories
