1st time I saw them was 44 years ago and this show was magic. This was my 16 year old daughter's first Pretenders show. She was shocked when I told her Chrissie's age.....she hasn't changed and her voice sounds the same as it did 40 years ago.....Guitar player and band are the best version of the band I've seen since the original. Thank you so much for capturing a great moment in time!

I saw them 8/13 at the Masonic Hall in SanFrancisco and was blown away. As you say her voice has not diminished at all and the guitar player "James Walboure" was phenomenal.
So excited to see her- for me, live music never disappoints. After the lockdown, I realized how crazy beautiful it is to be in a crowded concert, or backyard show hearing a musician. ♥️🌌

Thanks for commenting. Was not the easiest conditions with lots of times getting bumped, others talking during slower songs and heads/phones to navigate around. Glad you enjoyed though.

The Pretenders are a British-American rock band formed in March 1978. The original band consisted of founder and main songwriter Chrissie Hynde (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), James Honeyman-Scott (lead guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), Pete Farndon (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Martin Chambers (drums, backing vocals, percussion). Following the deaths of Honeyman-Scott in 1982 and Farndon in 1983, the band experienced numerous personnel changes; Hynde has been the band's only consistent member.
Chrissie and Martin Chambers have been together since the inception of the Pretenders, if I'm not mistaken.
I've been a Fan'Girl since their first Album... I'm a Dinosaur. 😉

Interesting. Was not that way at Philly show. I understand the policy because many use their phones and “block” the view of others. I do my best to keep my phone “within my space” so no more blocking than my body already doing. Thanks for reaching out. Saw the Red Bank set was a little different. Enjoy!

They did not. This was second show of tour and they did not perform exactly same set each night. First night they did not do MYSTERY ACHIEVEMENT but TATTOED LOVEBOYS instead.

I thought perhaps I had 2 videos playing at the same time because I kept hearing people talking... but sadly it was the audio from this show. I don't know why people attend concerts and TALK during them!!

Tried to enjoy this show as best as possible but some bloody idiot with a camera was blocking our view.
Love how Chrissie had them slow down ‘My City is Gone’. She knows a groove. Appreciate the video but need to show the guitar solos.
The guitar solos were to right side of stage which was unfortunately blocked by some rather tall people so I did not even pan over. Wish I had a clearer position to cover more of the stage. The fun of a general admission show. I almost dropped my phone about a dozen times getting bumped into. Thanks for watching.
No Martin Chambers on drums....a founding member of the band disappears, and nobody mentions it?
