@@bluntedge8782 as someone who regularly went to gigs in the 90s/2000s, stopped for a long time then recently started again I can tell u the difference is night and day. Sure people with phones have fun recording but they add nothing to atmosphere. They KILL the atmosphere. That’s just an objective fact. I wish recording at gigs was banned or at least frowned upon

@@TerminusEst1982 Garbage sold 17 million albums worldwide. Do a simple google search and realize that is nothing compared to 1000’s of other musicians/bands. Garbage has been making albums from 1993 until 2021. They were popular from 1995 to 1999. Outside of those years not so much. Yes, I think over the span of their career and compared to other bands that were more popular they are very underrated. Per your comment I did not realize me knowing about a band makes them relevant. Yeah they are exceptionally accomplished musicians, which allows Shirley to do her thing.
cuz they're adults in their prime with years of experience - no one on that stage is under 30 at the time. Kids have energy but adults have skills!
When the band formed, Shirley was basically a tool that the rest of the band purchased. Butch Vig (you know.....the Nirvana guy) more of less had a female voice that he needed to compete his project and he picked up Shirley as an accompaniment.

Amen to that. Being from Wisconsin and knowing Butch was a graduate of UW Madison has always been a point of personal pride for me. They had a great foundation and once they brought in their ginger sorceress from Scotland, lightning in a bottle was achieved. Never saw them live but catching them now on you tube is so damn satisfying.

I saw them in Cleveland, Ohio in 1996 at a small club called Peabody's Down Under. I was right up front, center stage, the entire time and ya they jammed. They got hammered on Heinekens.

Increíble banda, historia de la música, culmen del sonido grunge, y qué decir de Shirley, excepcional, y en este concierto en concreto brilla con toda su fuerza y esplendor. De esas actuaciones que uno puede ver una y otra vez y jamás aburrirse. Pelos de punta en muchos momentos de la actuación, me transporta a aquellos años noventa de mi adolescencia. Genial.
