- This video explains how to program an NFC business card using NFC tools which is a free app on the Apple and Android store. I walk you through step by step on how to add a social network like instagram to your NFC card or digital business card. You can add anything to these NFC cards like web links, Facebook, LinkedIn, LinkTree, Contact in Bio, Tik Tok, etc.

Hmm that's a good question. It may be the way Huawei and Google do it, I was not aware. The only recommendation I have is to make a digital site that your card links to, like mine links to ThatDroneGuyTy.contactin.bio . maybe after the person is directed to a page like this THEN clicks instagram it may go to the app? If I ask them to pre-program the card with my link and I would like to modify the link in NFC tools, the modified link in NFC tools will just overwrite the pre-programmed link. Correct?
That means, whatever is the most recently added URL link to the NFC tools will be the one activated or be the only one scannable. It will just overwrite everything. Correct?

It will not overwrite. Schools use a different type of NFC that cannot be altered without a special device
What if their phone doesn’t work with the card? Is there something they can scan with their camera?
There is not. About 94% of smartphones today have this capability, the only ones that don’t work are phones older than 2017, although there are still a few that have older phones (my dad), they are being phased out day by day as people upgrade. I’d personally say by this time next year, and especially after the next iPhone launch in September, 99% of phones will be compatible
you could create a qr code with your link and have that printed onto the card for those phones the tap won’t work for
I got a card and the nfc tag doesn’t work at all all my other cards work but the new one... any idea on why that could be?

Question for you. I see on the NFC Tools app that I can add contact info. However, it seems like I can only read that info through the app. Do you have a fix for this?
Smartphones only accept a website link natively, nothing else. Raw contact info will not work. However I made another video as a workaround czcams.com/video/XN9OgtLpFsk/video.html
Does the NFC setting need to be switch on on the phone for it to be able to read the chip?
For android, yes. iPhones XR and newer read automatically

Thanks! The card is simply meant to be a relay of information, so if you designed a checkout page on your end with a discount included, this card can direct someone right to that page. Or if you program a member number on the card that your end automatically gives a discount when detected, that would work too

Hello, I bought some nfc cards and managed to configure them, but when I bring it to the device it only reads the social network that was loaded first.
I also made an interactive pdf to see if that way I could facilitate it but I couldn't either.

Phones will only respond to one web link. If you are adding multiple items it will not work
make a link tree or sociatap link and have that set up for all your social media’s and just program the link to the card

No unfortunately not, i suppose you can airdrop your own contact info but there’s a good chance the other party’s airdrop will be turned off or only allow current contacts to find them

Hello! The metal card is very heavy. Not sure the exact weight. Heavier than the Apple Card for sure. If you ever held an Amex black metal card it’s the same as that

Yes! All androids and any Apple from 2016 to now work with these cards. Roughly 93% of the populations smartphones work with this product right out of the box
is there a way to securely write to card so other people can't replace it?
Within the software you can permanently lock the contents of the card so it can never be edited again.
After i write to the tag and scan with another phone it directs it to website google play store in browser. anyone know what is going on?
Hello! If you are linking to an app, and the receiver does not have the app, it will send them to the App Store to download it first

Their phone will not relay their info back unfortunately, unless they had a Tap Tag as well for you to tap

Hello! Yes, following these steps leaves the chip open for anyone to reprogram assuming they know how. However, in NFC tools under "Other" on the home page you have the option to password protect the contents, meaning you will have to unlock via password before programming (still scannable) and you also have the option to lock permanently forever. (Still scannable but this is permanent, the tag can never change)

Not directly like "Tap to pay now", however you can link to a PayPal payment screen, venmo payment screen, cashapp, etc
How did you add venmo to your linktree account? Doesn't give me that option
go to your venmo account where you see your QR screen, then hit share, copy. This copies your profile link you can add to your tower of links. Or copy your profile URL from the browser on the desktop version

Yes if it’s an android, however it defaults to ON so it’s likely it’s already on. Apple is always on

Yes sure! Link Tree is probably the most popular, Shorby.com is the easiest to use, bio.fm. is solid, solo.to is great. There are a few others I can’t think of at the moment but those should help!

Tap Tag is the site I got these cards from taptag.shop, they have NFC keychains, wristbands, tags, signs, etc. All with the same tech

Hey Raz! Up until the iPhone 12 came out the iPhone 8, iPhone X, and older did not even have the option of NFC, thankfully when Apple updated to iOS 13 they at least added that button you mentioned to make NFC reading possible, because it is far better than having nothing. Unfortunately there is no way to fix this or make it better. Luckily 94% of smartphones can now read NFC out of the box like in this video so it's only a matter of time before these older phones are completely phased out. As far as the Galaxy you mentioned, those phones were able to read NFC since 2013. However NFC may need to be turned on in settings. Also, remember that android typically puts the NFC reader in the center-back of the phone while Apple puts it in the top. Let me know how it goes!

The card only works if the other person has that nfc function on correct
It is always on in iPhones and works natively. Just the phone has to be “awake” to read the card. For androids, same thing. However for androids the user has the ability to turn off NFC in settings. It’s defaulted on and will only be off is the user turned off at any point during phones life
I have a question, I do everything but its not poping up automaticly, I need to go to NFC chip reader so it can pop, how can I make it to pop automaticly
Hello! I am assuming you have an iPhone XR or newer? If yes, then I am guessing you may not have included the full link when using the custom URL option. If you just did www.blank.com it will program but iPhone will not read it

Is it possible to make an iPhone lower than 11 to open them automatically, or it need to go through NFC tag button first.
@@franbevanda Ah, that iPhone is too old and is not compatible with automatic NFC, which started on the XR then 11, 12, and 13's. However, if you open control center there is a sideways wifi-looking icon. That is your NFC button. You can click that to read the chip rather than opening an app. If you don't see it go to settings>control center and make sure NFC Reader is enabled

There is no easy consumer way to do it. These tags were purchased from the company Tap Tag that were designed using their tech

@@coldsir5406 Yea it takes special machinery, not just an inkjet printer. Tap Tag has some decent bulk prices that comes down to $10/card when you buy 10. Full edge to edge color printing 🤷♂

Yes! The best way is to store one link in the NFC tag like linktree, contact in bio, linqs, shorby, etc. these websites allow you to store multiple social links under one single link. Let me know if this answer helps!

I have a bank card with contactless payment but nfc reader won’t read it do?
A smartphone will not read the card, it is a more secure type of NFC that smartphones do not pick up for security reasons

@@keez2100 nope, it is a completely different type of NFC that phones can’t change. This would pose. Massive security info as I could change the contents of your credit card by sitting near you. You can get a separate sticker to stick to the card yes

Helloooo. The phone should 100% work, however there are some things iPhone cannot read, such as generic text, wifi info, location, etc. It is best to stick to website links, social media, and contact info

If you use MyContactApp.net you can get a contact card file that has a URL for downloading. that should work for you. Yes. Tap Tag can program for you before they send. You can also program 100 yourself however it’s not as bad as it sounds. 100 cards with the same link would take about 20 minutes using a free smartphone app
Cool video but I'm not buying anything where I don't have a phone number to contact a person. This seems awesome but when you said Sponsored by my ears perked up. I'd love to see you do a Review of the card from the time you get it, set it up, what platform you have to use, & then how simple it is for the end user you are giving this to. I went to their website interested and when I see "NO PHONE NUMBER, MY BRAIN SAYS RED FLAG". People will dodge you like the plague with emails after they take your money. Do you have such a video to direct me to see?
In most circumstances I would agree with you. However, shoot them an email right now or chat the text box in the bottom right corner and I guarantee you will get a human in 3 minutes or less. I believe using the chat box you can also obtain a phone number. They are a small business and probably do not want phone calls 24 hours per day if I had to guess. I do not have a video of the full set up :/

If you go into “Other” on the home page of NFC tools you will see a lock option. There will be a warning about how irreversible it is, click through that and you are able to lock you tag permanently

Hello, just wanted to confirm the chip is solid plastic and is embedded into the actual card and is flush with the metal. It does not wear and you cannot scratch it off
