    For anyone wondering, the id card printer he has in the video is the Evolis Badgy 200 ID Card Printer. It is a affordable option since the market is between $500-$1300 on average. This version is a healthy $200.
    Edit: this is for a rental version. Mainly for business keep in mind. The actual one is $500-$700.

    I prefer the BLK CARDS app instead of NFC Tools to write URLs on my digital business cards. I find it simpler with way less steps and you can also save your URLs in a list, which is very useful and it's a free app too.

    Because when i bought a card before for 80€ , i could do it , and that is really cool and important.

      Yes, but not necessarily with NFC Cards alone. But, kudos, that’s one of my favorite use cases in business operations. Our internet provider for example, could have nfc enabled stickers on the back of the devices. Upon starting/ending a job on site, tapping that nfc could automate many many useful things to track 😎

    • @FranckBossi
      @FranckBossi Před rokem +2

      Yes you can do that, just need that NFC to be programmed with a unique URL that you pre-record in your dB knowing where it was placed.

    • @baggottsbotsdigitalmarketi9524
      @baggottsbotsdigitalmarketi9524  Před 2 lety +1

      It’s easier than you may think. The method we use is to upload the phone contact to Google Drive. We simply embed the vCard link to a button. Some people will call the vCard a VCF (Virtual Contact File)… but, any it’s just the file format all contacts are usually stored in.
      So, to answer your question, YES! This file format works for both Android and iOS. This is a great question and most people do not think about it. Thanks for watching!

    I'm a bit confused. This process seemed to add the actions to the phone/app, similar to creating shortcuts. Does it work when other devices scan the NFC? How does that redirect happen?

    • @baggottsbotsdigitalmarketi9524
      @baggottsbotsdigitalmarketi9524  Před 2 lety

      In this example, we are using a URL of a landing page we made inside the funnel builder to encode the nfc tag. You can use any URL you want to use when you encode your tags with the app, NFC Tools.
      When a device like a smartphone is powered on, and near the tag, the nfc reader that’s built-in the phone will detect the nfc tag and send a signal to alert the user that they can open the link associated with the tag.
      You can have as many links or buttons you want on the landing page. Hope this helps.

    • @ryanbaggott6479
      @ryanbaggott6479 Před rokem

      Yes, unlike a personal shortcut that may only work on the device the shortcut was created with, nfc tags can work for all nfc devices.
      I think one day we will have “business shortcuts” but prob 3-5 years from now.
      But for our use cases, “tap to place a food order” or “tap to add your contact” are core business functions.

  • @ron6126
    @ron6126 Před 2 lety +1

    I need to check into this process. There may be some security risk.

    • @baggottsbotsdigitalmarketi9524
      @baggottsbotsdigitalmarketi9524  Před 2 lety +1

      Always a good idea to do your own research, for sure. The most simplistic way to look at an NFC Tag is to look at it almost exactly as you’d look at a QR Code. The only difference being you tap the NFC Tag and you “scan” the QR Code. If you find any good info about potential security risks feel free to let us know and I’ll share your tips on another video.

      1) that is called a “landing page”. You can use any tool you want; I used an app I own called Tap The Table.
      2) I recommended you “buy your NFC cards from Amazon”. Use the search bar in the Amazon app and simply type NFC Cards and choose what you can afford.
      3) In the video, you’ll see me print the design from my computer with the Badgy printer. The printer imprinted the design onto the card.
