    Mapex is doing so many things right. Very well thought out hardware that is affordable but yet has a lot of features you don't see on some high end hardware packs. I love all the easy adjustments. Even the lock on the hi hat clutch is awesome because who hasn't had their hi hat clutch come loose when they were playing.

    I’ve slowly started upgrading all of my hardware to the all black ones. the best feature so far is the precision you can get when adjusting your cymbal angles since these did away with the gear mechanism. Awesome product.

      Nice! I love my Yamaha rack. Hasn't let me down once yet. Solid as hell and light. Also you can adjust the width of the two main legs, some are fixed positioned.

    Can you do a presentation only and with just the MapexP800TW double pedal? if so i would love to see it, i found it to be one of the best pedals out there with such accessible price.

    Does anyone know if the quick release for the cymbals and the highhat stand are durable, I ask since they are plastic?

      Get the armory double bass pedal, high hat stand, and snare stand. You can get the mars cymbals stands cuz they are fine, but the legs don't move for the mars high hat stand, and the slave pedal is crap on the double bass. If you only play single bass, get the Mars for everything. Its all good solid hardware. Mapex for Life.

    I know this is old but I got a mapex pro m that I’ve wrapped in a black design. Used black heads and such along with an 8 piece Meinl set. I wanted to go with the H800EB (hihat) S800EB (snare) and either the B800 or the 600... maybe even the 400? I have 8 cymbals so I could see myself getting at least 3 for the 19in crash, 20in crash, and 22in crash/ride but the other 5 cymbals don’t need such huge stand ;/ any advice?

  • @acuralee
    @acuralee Před 4 lety

    So are these the S800EB? Where’s the 400 or 600? I haven’t seen any reviews. If I wanted super hardware I’d go with DW or the falcon. I find the hihat stand to be the best of all 3 but I’d love to have seen the boom stand and the snare

    Dows anyone know if the Mars Series Hihat also has movable legs like this one? That would be like 50€ off for my practice kit...

      It does not. It was a huge disappointment. The Mars Series High Hat and Double Bass Pedal are pretty Bad. The legs don't move on the high hat stand, and the slave pedal is crap. Other than that they are basically fine. I should have purchased armory, but I purchased the mars kit and wanted the matching hardware. Im gonna use the mars High Hat, Single Pedal (from the double bass pedal), and the snare stand for my travel Kit. So Im getting the Armory for those three. The Mars Cymbals stand are more than fine. And there is nothing wrong with the snare stand. I just want the Armory for those 3, then Cymbal Stands from Mars.

    • @Medievalfan94
      @Medievalfan94 Před 8 lety

      +Daniel Sterling So the Mars Cymbalstands will carry a 12" Tom and a 22" Ride on an extra boom arm and an 18" Crash on itself? Or am I better off with Armory in this case?
      A shame, that there are no other manufacturers with black hardware... Not for the price, but for the stability even though Mapex did a good job on that on recent series.

    He does not give any information at all about the spring on the bass drum pedal. It is not very informative in regard to adjusting the tension on the pedal. For those interested in adjusting the tension there is a knob on the right bottom side of the pedal that tightens the spring tension or loosens it. Be sure to loosen the silver knurled nut on top of this knob first. When you are satisfied with the tension dont forget to turn the silver nut down and hand tighten to lock it in.
