Gotta love Ford and their crazy designs. I just replaced mine and it was almost comical how much work it was to replace them. It wasn't real hard to do but it was very time consuming.

Just tore mine apart about 5 mins ago while watching your video on my phone. Thank you for doing such a thorough job. I was a little scared to try it till I watched your video. Only thing I'd add is the dang stock horn is in the way on the passenger side. Otherwise I followed step by step and it was pretty painless. Thank you! Keep up the good work and keep that truck looking good.

The amount of work it takes just to get the headlight assemblies out is mind blowing what the hell is Ford thinking when they did all this stuff they have to be the hardest vehicle I've ever had to work on

You were spot on with the instructions. Thanks for the great how to. The clips were the hardest part. They were a bear to get off due to all the dirt "welding" them to the plastic.
One additional step I did was to remove the batteries. I could not get my arm in far enough to remove the marker light bolts with them in place.

Good video, for my 97 f250, I found it easier to get at the lower turn signal nuts by going at it from underneath. While peeling back the inner fender liner, 7/16 did the trick!

A far cry from garbage my friend. I bought my 97 f250 7.3 4x4 new. Paid $27k. It's 23 years old now with 250k on it. Still runs like a top. It's just starting to rust under the paint by the bed wheelwells. Besides the normal tires, brakes, batteries, and a few sensors, my truck has been awesome. Actually 100% rock solid. Still getting 17mpg too. I never got stuck with this truck. I put a 2800lb slide in truck camper on the back and have over 50k miles driving on long island beaches. Since buying this truck, my brother has gone through 2 dodge and 1 Chevy truck. He is back with ford now. One friend has 780,000 miles on his truck. Ford mechanics call the 7.3 powerstroke,"the million mile motor". Say that. Million mile motor. Plus you can double the horsepower and torque with a few minor mods if that's your thing. The craziest thing is that similar 94-97 f250/350 7.3 trucks are selling for $12k-$24k and mine is in better shape. I've seen some over $30k. You will never see a dodge or Chevy from any year hold the value like a 94-97 f250/350 with the 7.3 powerstroke. It's the best pickup truck ever made period!!!

I love my '93 7.5 F250 with 1-ton suspension and yes, a gasser. Drove it from California to Florida and back in 2007 with no problems; in fact sound as a rock. Gas mileage terrible, but I don't miss the diesel gargle sound and it's not my main town vehicle. Trigger's quiet as a church mouse. That said, I will have a diesel someday too. Love the 7.3 culture. Very helpful video. Thank you~~

    Good Vidio. Few Suggestions.
    - You not need to remove the Big Black Plastic Part. You can reach in from the Outside with Needle Nose Plyers and Pull ALL Clip from Outside.
    - If you use Snap Ring Plyers on the 3 Clips. It's a lot easier.

These headlights are okay, probably not quite as good as OEM. I had some trouble getting one of the headlight clips on and ended up cracking part of the black plastic support in the process. They are a little loose from the adjuster mechanism, but for the price they work and look great! Considering how cheap they are, I'd probably get the same ones again if I were to redo it. Just be ready with a pocket knife to whittle away some plastic on at least one of the headlight retainers.

I guess they changed body styles mid year. Mine is the rounded body style. They don't usually switch mid year.

@@merholland8707 Oh you've got a super duty then, either that or f250/f150? Somewhere around 1996 they switched the f150 body style, and 1997 was the last year of the old body style for larger than half ton trucks.

F150 lariat. Nothing special, but yes, they changed around June/July that year for some reason

In 97 fords offer the old body style and the new body style on the super duty truck. In case the new body style didn't sell.
