Well once thing we know for sure, is that after his fighting career, Chandler has his next job for the UFC: Commentator.
29-Chandler
He would be a better commentator than Bisping and Felder for sure
@@scottc2076 put some respect on Felder he knows what he's saying
@@scottc2076 respect felder but dc sucks
@@josiahgonzalez942 the weight scales scandel provels felder don't.
Bisbing is good tho
The way Chandler speaks about MMA history, his love and appreciation for the fight game as a fan shines through. And it's been said before, but it bears repeating; Mike is definitely working on TV/media when his career is over. This is excellent narration/voice over work.
Someone: *silent*
Michael Chadler: “You know, you being quiet reminds me of myself when I get into the zone before a fight. I pull myself up by my bootstraps, put in the time, blood, sweat, and tears. You not saying anything to me today wasn’t a coincidence, it was the universe wanting to send me a message. When it’s all said and done, I will see you at the top.”
LMFAO
29-Chandler
@alguien He said that would be Khabib's record if he fought him 🤣
Lmfao best one here
How can you not Love Michael Chandler?! He's a great ambassador for the UFC! So cool to see the history of the LW division.. i didn't know all this. It's come a long way.. and is super stacked!
He's here for a good time not a long time
@@ableton909 He zigged when he should’ve zagged
@@almightyfonics But he pulled himself up by his bootstraps and he saw us at the top.
@@ableton909 155 the official weight for Michael chandler
Because he’s corny.
Humble well spoken dude love watching him fight.
Reading from daddy danas script
@@beaualIoevv Good because I can't listen to Chandler talk his shite! Lets go Tony!
Mike is so good at narrating a story !
Hopefully a commentator once he retires.
Watching this made me realize how long I've actually been watching this sport for.. It was a nostalgic trip down memory lane. I recognized all the old clips they showed on here.
Remember when lightweight was dominated by BJ. And no one cared about other fighters other than him? Then came Frankie Edgar who dethroned him then came rivalry between him and gray Maynard. Then WEC joined with Benson, Pettis, cowboy. But imo, other than BJs era, and merger of WEC, light weight wasn’t really in the spotlight til Connor came. Then over few years, it became one of the best division. Because you gotta have all balance between power, speed, skills and stamina to be at the top tier of this division.
@@jaykay5823 that needed ‘balance’ applies to every fighter in any weight division that’s out there. It’s not exclusive to lightweights.
Like I actually watched Jens Pulver fight Urijah Faber on Spike or some shit as a teenager. On a UHF/VHF black and white TV! It was a family heirloom. True story. WEC is what really put me on to MMA. Crazy that I watched the first UFC LW champ fight before he was actually in the UFC.
@@doomset1231 more important at lightweight than other classes though
Power isn’t as important at the smaller weights and skill isn’t as much of a factor at the heavier weights… lightweight/welterweight are the most competitive because they’re around the size of the average man
It's awesome
I see chandler being a commentator when he retires
@@beaualIoevv lmao whoa 1 whole person thinks he'll be able to drop the ufc ratings😭😭boss you think too highly of yourself. Plus muting the card wouldn't effect the ratings fool 🤣🤣
Chandler is a proper Gent. I hope to see him in some capacity in the game as a pundit. Absolute Savage too
Proper gent american whiskey! see you at the top
Best quote from Chandler was when he said "I'm a vessel of violence"
Respect to Mike, great fighter, balls of steel and intelligent guy who can present a narrative.
You said it perfect my friend.
Lightweight is the best division, finishing machines rn
Remember when everyone hated michael? Gotta love this guy. Hes earned everyones respect.
i don't remember a time anyone hated him.
That was one of the most exciting UFC highlight videos I've ever seen. If you're not a fan this video will make you one!
I've gotta say Chandler has grown on me, the man can talk.
Holy fucking shit this is the most well written, well versed highlight tape I’ve ever seen in the 31 years I’ve lived on this earth. Michael Chandler we love you and your activity
1:28 changed everything in this Division
My favourite moment of all time 👌🏼
Lightweight Division is the most Badass Division 100%
I really like Chandler as a speaker in the UFC. Hopefully he lands a full time part somewhere after he's done fighting. He seems to keep it unbiased and I love him for it even going up against these guys he speaks great about a fighter like when he was going against Justin. Completely unbiased on him
Dear Michael Chandler, please work on your defense.
Take better care of yourself!
I wish you all the best!
Tony better win this one to stay in the picture.🥊
Chandler is allgood he's got Dana White's privilege 😂
I don't see tony winning at all he's past his prime my dude hate too say it I like tony as A fighter but Justin Took his SOUL
How is Frankie Edgar not mentioned when Megan talked about the lightweight stars. He was along time champ
RDA too. He beat pettis and defended against cerrone. Not to mention was the original Mcgregor fight.
@@JonJon-pj9ly idk about that one man lool
How can you not like this guy? The best thing about him is this is his true authentic self on and off camera
Poor Pettis. I remember when he got that Wheaties box and by the time it dropped he had already lost the belt lol
A video about the lightweight division where they don’t mention Tony Ferguson or his legendary win streak.🤷♂️
"How do u like your coffee??"
Chandler: Coffee?? It just drives me forward with its aura and incense, it's my fault for rmy motivation and drive. It's an honor to be drinking such great tasting coffee made by hard working coffee field workers from the fields of Columbia and Africa.
No doubt lightweight division is most deep division in UFC...no division has most complete fighters from #1 to #15...this division has most fighters in p4p rankings too compare to any other division.
bantamweight is super stacked as well
the playback option is fantastic!! set it to 0.25 and enjoy!!
Say whatever you want about Chandler but he has proved he belongs in the ufc and in the top fights win lose or draw he always comes to fight and brings heart hope he whoops Tony on the 7th
When chandler rocked oliveria and gaethje he ran in and eventually got rocked himself for being to wild and not disciplined enough . Yes I understand going in for the kill but chandler needs to stay composed in those moments .. even though he was a champion in bellator
Let's Go Chandler 🔥🥊
Barboza ko of dariush is an all time great mma moment
Nonchalant
I thought he was kinda lame and tried to talk like a politician when he first arrived. I still think that, but he’s grown on me after that Gaethje fight.
@alguien not lame really just boring. But his fighting won me over
Still believe Chandler would have probably given Khabib the most problems
I thought that about Gaethje... and we all saw what happened lol
@@jesusiskingofkingss she used to be cute before she chopped off her hair. Figured her rack would fill in more with age but meh… she’s a pass. I digress, she hasn’t looked as fierce since her finish against Zhang in their first fight. I think reaching the top in women’s SW and going through new stages in her adult life are softening her up a bit. I believe she’s very vulnerable against Esparza this time around. Rose is more of a favorite than Carla is a dog, otherwise I would have included taking Carla in my parlay.
I agree I think Chandler would probably be his toughest fight or maybe Charles
@@jesusiskingofkingss u commented on her so called “rackis breastistis” as well sir

Can't wait to see the fights on Saturday night..
If Chandler hits you man you better have health insurance.
That Chandler vs Ferguson fight might go under people's radar but it has a lot of potential in it

When chandler retires he can record audio books for a living
The was epic ufc !
Chandler is my guy against Ferguson 👍 Let's hope "Iron" Michael wins this time 🙏
All I wonder is Chandler was spoken his mind all the time during this promo or he was reading a script? Very well spoken gentlemen, I like him 💪🏼
Lightweight Division❤
Gotta love MC
I really want to see Poirier VS Chandler
That will be another banger! They both love to brawl 💯
170 and 155 are the most stacked division i think in ufc bc its an average dehydrated fit guys size
Chandler vs Chad Mendes would’ve been a fun fight
Yo you guys need to make Chandler a commentator after his career. I think he's got the full package to be great at calling the action. I'd love it!
I actually feel like batamweight is the most exciting and deepest division right now, like chael said you got 8 former champions in the rankings, crazy!
Chandler is definitely getting a job at UFC media
Chandlers dope in general
See you at the top!!
Do we finally see Ferguson in the shadow realms? :,(
Hahaha nahhhh
*There will be never an undisputed undefeated pound for pound fighter in the world*
Talking about the lightweight division history without mentioning a certain 12 win streak is misleading.
Lets not forget what many fail to remember with mcstretcher. He DID NOT grind his way up 2 divisions to even get proper rights to fight for 2 belts. He cut in line and took the shortcut to get the opportunity to get that 2nd strap.
you nailed it.
“michael (deliberate heat exposure) chandler”
170 division is The Sweet spot. They are small enough for speed & technique. But big enough to hang with heavy weights without a total blow out ...
Dustin is my favorite
I’m probably not the first to comment how much I appreciate Michael Chandler. He’s a great guy, although cheesy sometimes. I respect him fully.
I have to say Michael Chandler is a very good guy !! I didn't know !
Lightweight is the most entertaining division right now hands down.
GLASS JAW
Lw division is best in ufc.all are very tough💪
LETS GO CHANDLER
They keep saying that. Lightweight was the deepest. Bantamweight is by far the deepest now

UFC Future Commentator Michael Chandler
Fuckin great video. Chandler needs to become a commentator eventually.
Man these new lightweights coming in 10 top all I can say is that the champions will have a harder fight after fight cuz all of them hungry lions are coming for the belt
💖💖💖💯
We need DC, RC, and MC
Chandler might have a gig at ESPN after his fighting career is all said and done? impressive breakdown of the LWs.
Ferguson vs Chandler....another fight where I don't want either guy to lose
I wish they included rda
Theres a reason why hes called Iron mike!
Chandler pa kao
Why the fuck can't ANY UFC pundit say Nurmagomedov properly?
Chandler has a great future in the sport not only like a figher but like an analyst too...
A lot of Edson barboza on this list
Chandler will probably have a job as an analyst or commentator once he decides to stop competing. The man is a naturally gifted orator.
Yeah in a week and a half he’s gonna be on the other side of the table 😂😅
Where's the part when RDA took the belt from Pettis ?
Chandler is the real man
Michael “the most likeable” Chandler
I know lightweight division as Tony fergusons division
my guy found a new job
McGregor's best performance was Chad Mendez. It was his greatest come back from being down in rounds & showed he can handle world class wrestlers🥩🦈
And he also had a torn acl so he could of destroyed him earlier in not for that
Best tuf ever... not even close
Coming off two losses and fighting a lower ranked guy. He has to win
This video did Charles Oliveira dirty
Habib Nurmagomedov n. 1
🦅
Talks about Conor
The background footage showing him getting finessed
Wait I'm also coming at Light weight devision.. I'm coming for take the belt.
hopefully tony defeats chandler
Sorry Chandler but the heavyweight champ will always be baddest man on the planet, reason being the heavyweight champ is the alpha across all divisions, he wins against anyone in a 1v1, nothing will change that.
he didnt talk about the champ charles du bronx ! I wonder why.....
Just because I like them both and they're on loosing streaks I wouldn't mind if it's a draw.
Chandler could replace Ron one day
Mike u got the wrong color baby I hope u can return
Cringe.
