- This week I'm finishing the solar shed build. This project has been very enjoyable and I hope it serves its purpose for a long time.

Pretty shed with pretty doors👍. Nice bed with storage space, very important in a Tiny house.👍
I'm glad you like the look of the shed! The storage space under the bed is definitely a must! It makes use of that otherwise dead space
👍 another great job, looks great as a piece of furniture for your yard.
Thank you! I think it looks pretty cool too! And it seems functional so far!
FYI the weather proofing membrane is widely used in Poland where i oryginally come from ( its called "papa"- really!) Anyway. Tha way yo make a roof whit it is : you make the roof boards ( or OSB plate in your case ) about 10 cm bigger on each side then you put papa on it, the trick to success lies in the overhang of the papa. You mesure about 1 or 2 cm puls the thickness of your roof boards more of the papa on each side. When you fold the papa on the edge of your roof board you are left with the 1 or 2 cm overhang that extend under the roof board, this is the drip edge it ensures that the water will newer find its way under and between papa and the roof boards. The extra 10 cm of roof on each side ensyre that the dripping wather wont drip on the walls ( higher buildings require more overhang). Hope this is understandable and not too confusing, and I hope it helps in the future. Much love from Germany !
Thank you so much for this comment, what you explained makes a lot of sense! On this build I just went with what I felt was good, but next time I'll definitely keep those measures in mind!
Thank you! 🙏
What a neat shed!
I'm glad you like it! I'm pretty happy with it too!
Milk Frother - that what this device called. The max power consumption 500w. Strange that it didn't work.
For external molding I would rather use small nails than screws, they cheaper and not that noticeable, better looking.
For battery shed I would make it twice taller that needed to be, in any way you will upgrade your battery capacity over time.
For battery shed you need ventilation, to extent battery life, but ventilation that will keep mouse and rats away. They love chewing cables.
And thanks for another video.
Exactly! I found it weird that the frother didnt work too. I wonder if my inverter is dying 🤷
I thought about using nails instead of screws! To be honest I just ended up using the screws because it was what I had in the barn and I didnt want to go to the store for nails, but that makes sense!
The battery I have at the moment only takes about a quarter of the space inside the shed, so I think I'll be able to at least triple my battery capacity before having to expand this little building. Thank you for letting me know about the ventilation, I didn't think about that!
Looks great 😀
Thank you! 🙏
cool video bro
Thank you! 🙏
Wow well done you … lovely place for the battery hens lol but you did forget to protect your t-shirt while painting 😊
Thank you! I think the battery hens will like their new home! 😂
You’re right! What a terrible mistake I made!
Haha you know I’m teasing right … we all love some eye candy 😂
Roof looks great , the tiles help it fit in with the surrounds. Hope your friends gave you great feedback about your place, its pretty special.👍
Thank you! I thought so too!
They liked it! We had a ton of fun! It was really great to start building memories here
Doors look great, another success with woodworking. You also used a lot of leftovers from other projects, there's never waste on a small holding.👍
Thank you! I’m very happy with how it turned out!
Very nice! Looks like a great piece of furniture instead of a 'solar' shed. Is this a place to store the batteries and such? Build yourself a platform to use as level patio lounge space under that tree as well😊
Thank you! I really like how it turned out! Yes, it houses the batteries and the other solar electricity components apart from the panels themselves!
Congratulation to your new bed/couch. It looks indeed quite comfy. But I am a little worried about yourself since you seem to be quite exhausted. Maybe you should give yourself more time to relax.
Thank you! It’s very nice of you to think about that. You’re right, I am a bit tired! I’m thinking of slowing down when the weather cools downs for winter 😉
Sure, take care, and don't overwhelm yourself!
❤
As portas ficarão perfeitas, continue assim, vai dar tudo certo.
Obrigado!! Aos poucos isto vai lá!
Five ninutes to go: "Solar shet?" Still wondering what you are building. "Solar?" Lucky for you; you're pretty.
Hey Roy! It's a solar shed ;)
@@goncalovalle still have no idea what it is.
You have made the shed a great cozy space. You will end up crafting more multi use items for it with your woodworking!! Well done. Love the dollar storage, looks great❤❤
Thank you! I'm excited to see how it evolves through the years!
Nice work!
I wanna live in the solar hut...and watch you secretly😁
It’s a bit cramped, but I bet we could make that work! Just give me a couple of days to get a shotgun first! 😂
Did you have to secure the roof tiles to the roof and if so, how did you do that?
The angle on the roof is small, so the tiles just stay up there without anything holding them. I’ll see how they handle the winter storms! 🤞
Nice.....so that is going to "house" your batteries did you say earlier on?
Yes! It’ll house everything apart from my solar panels. So it’ll be the batteries, solar charge controller and inverter!
How cold does it get there? You may have to supply heat below certain temps.....if you don't already have those plans in place. I wish you much success with it all!@@goncalovalle
It's rare that temperatures go below 0 here. Maybe some nights it might get to -5 but that's about it! @@kbVACArestatecarsnrvs
