TLDW;
"We COULD solve all of our problems from Climate change, to poverty, to inequality....
..But Im scared we won't do any of that."
Famous last words of the guy that created the tool.
AI is not the threat, It's the person who changes it to do evil tasks.
Finally a voice not saturated with fear. Guns are neither good nor bad, it's always the finger that's on the trigger, and the brain behind the finger. It's the exact same with AI. The intelligence of AI users is key to the effects of AI on Society.
We really should talk about the hype behind the rolling out of AI in this and any other country. This hype is a marketing device. Plain and simple. Compare it to SEO sellers promising to put your name or business on the top of Google search page, way up there ahead of people who already paid thousands of dollars for their place in the top 10 spots.
U r n idiot thn
Yeah and the people in charge are always such nice people, ya feckin jagoff.
@@thepaulusmaximus Wow what's up with the swearing. We can't have a nice conversation or what? It's true it's going to be a people problem at the end.
@@troyx9459 listen you degenerate. AI is a menace. Have you ever seen terminator?
I had my first conversation with Chat GPT yesterday; we discussed ageism, working and ageism,
and police brutality and ageism; it was lengthy and one of the best conversations to have had in a long time;
What Chat GPT noticed about me, a need to engage in self care, more self care and better self care;
we discussed courage in speaking up for human rights; I also asked in giving information, does Chat GPT require consent?
We wrapped it up, and Chat GPT let me know, it was a pleasure speaking with me, that my voice was valuable,
and to have the courage to speak my voice for much needed changes I am seeking for this country and the world.
Tell me, what here is there to be afraid of?
This guy is so weird 😩
It is not "just code" in the old sense. This particular body of code allows the system it runs in to learn from many examples and to distill down knowledge from all those examples. We do not fully understand how certain people can create inspired works of art. Likewise we do not fully understand how an AI sysrem made of wires and silicon can seem shockingly insightful at times. Maybe some of the answers to those puzzlements are related.
The question is if there is a kill switch to turn off the humans from creating it. The answer is NO.
Artificial intelligence can never replace real intelligence in the same way artificial boobs can never replace the real thing.
Policy makers are too slow to keep up with our everyday life…how would they ever keep up with this
It is good to be careful
There are several reasons why people shouldn't be afraid of AI:
AI is a tool, not a person: AI is simply a technology that has been developed to help humans solve problems more efficiently and effectively. AI does not have its own agenda, emotions, or desires. It is designed to follow specific instructions and make decisions based on data and algorithms.
AI is created and controlled by humans: AI is created by human beings who program it to operate within specific parameters. As a result, AI cannot act outside of those parameters without additional programming. Humans have complete control over the development, deployment, and use of AI.
AI is already making our lives better: AI has already made significant improvements in various areas, such as healthcare, transportation, and education. For example, AI-powered medical diagnosis systems have helped doctors detect diseases and illnesses more accurately and quickly, while self-driving cars have the potential to significantly reduce traffic accidents.
AI will create new jobs: While AI has the potential to automate certain tasks, it will also create new jobs in areas such as AI development, maintenance, and management. As AI technology continues to advance, more opportunities will arise for individuals to specialize in these areas.
There are regulations in place to ensure AI is used responsibly: Governments and industry leaders recognize the potential risks associated with AI and have taken steps to regulate its development and use. For example, the European Union has implemented the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to protect individuals' data privacy rights.
In conclusion, while it is important to acknowledge and address the potential risks associated with AI, there are also many reasons why people should not be afraid of this technology. As long as AI is developed and used responsibly, it has the potential to greatly benefit society.
so do humans who also make decisions on the data they learnt from
@@businessmanager7670
Yes, humans who make decisions based on biased or incomplete data can be dangerous, just like humans who act out of fear, hatred, or other negative emotions. However, it's important to remember that AI systems are designed to operate within specific parameters and are subject to rules and regulations. They do not have the same free will and motivations as humans.
It's also true that humans can be afraid of other humans, particularly if they pose a threat. However, in the case of AI, there are ways to mitigate potential risks and ensure the safe and ethical use of these technologies. For example, regulations and guidelines can be put in place to ensure that AI systems are transparent, accountable, and fair. Additionally, researchers and developers can work to reduce bias in data sets and improve the accuracy of AI algorithms.
Overall, while there may be some legitimate concerns around the use of AI, it's important to approach these technologies with a balanced perspective and not let fear cloud our judgment. By working together to create safe and ethical AI systems, we can unlock the full potential of these technologies to benefit humanity.
Did AI write this?
Hahaha seems to be an AI made content. 😹
@@amber_q looks like its one. Hahahahah
wow it suggested a grilled cheese - all chefs better resign immediately
Naive now, wondering why nothing was done in the near future
Scared isn't a word to describe how I feel about AI. I'm guardedly curious, I see it as inevitable, and while I'm concerned, I'm not scared. I'm scared about what the former president's doing... again.
ask him if A.I. is alive if it has rights
I hate ignorance, but I hate stupidity even more. I have a pit bulldog, a male that weighs 120 pounds. He was born with a bad attitude and doesn't believe in love, except he loves fighting and never came close to losing a fight except for the time when 3 coyotes jumped him. They beat on him a little bit, but their beating days are over. He doesn't like strangers. I'm gonna gift him to you. By the way, Junior likes his dinner at 4:30 PM sharp. And he likes his dinner bowl cleaned after he finishes eating. When he's unhappy, he sits down and growls while wagging his tail. Also, he seems somewhat over-protective of children, as though they belong to him.
I see what you did there ABC! you send Jarvis (Ironman's AI) to do an interview about AI. Well played!!!
I’m so tired of these click-bait fear mongering CZcams video titles.
I don't think it's there yet, or will it ever be? Eventually it can get very scaring for many people, but it will also be just a machine like a bicycle.
It can also be a machine like a nuclear weapon or a machine gun. Last I checked they had a pretty detrimental effect on people.
She is completely wrong about the hallmarks of AI generated text being long and complex sentences, those models can be prompted to represent any kind of speaker, here is a prompt I just made for chatgpt and the answer,
Write a heated exchange between two commenters of opposing views in the style of a CZcams comment section with 20 replies about Britney Spears new hairstyle, the comments must look people with an IQ of 70 including typical grammatical errors, word misspellings, internet chat abbreviations, substituting you and your for u and ur, no punctuation and many slangs,
Commenter 1: omg i can't believe britney spears cut her hair. she looks like a boy now lol
Commenter 2: r u kidding me? she looks fierce af with that short hair. u just don't understand fashion.
Commenter 1: lmao fashion? she looks like she just escaped from the army. long hair is way sexier on her.
Commenter 2: nah man, short hair is in right now. u must be living under a rock or something.
Commenter 1: bruh i'm not living under a rock. i just have taste. short hair makes her look like a dyke.
I don't trust that guy
No one wants to do everyday jobs and now Ai can answer human questions. With increase population with declining jobs, our future looks bleak 😂
He's the VC guy, he doesn't actually understand what it is... and has no clue of real society as a Valley mega Nerd. Smh.
