- This week Emma continues her journey in the world of twins however she faces a tough challenge. During a difficult labour in theatre, the twins are born prematurely and one of them is struggling to breathe. These two twins were born together but spent their most few days on Earth apart, with one of them even away from their parents.
After a three-year break due to the pandemic, Emma Willis returns to life as a Maternity Care Assistant. With a natural shortage of midwives, Emma is expected to step up and take on more responsibility on the busy maternity ward.

When dads have a blood pressure drop, that's a normal, human reaction to an intense situation! We tell guys to be tender, to connect, to express their feelings; then call them "ridiculous" for getting emotional at a life-changing moment. Men deserve the same validation and support that women do. Everyone does!

I love how my son basically took charge in my grandson’s delivery’s. I was there as because my daughter in laws mom lived in a different state hours away.
I was in awe of how my son just took great care of his boys and still does❤
Every hospital needs a team of Emma's, she's a breather of fresh comfortable air 🩷
Thanks for the comment alerting me to the fact that the title is misleading.
Had a friend experience twins actually being born apart, which is very rare, and came looking for a similar story. Her labor started way too early after struggling to conceive. She was told she would most likely lose them both. The first one came and unfortunately didn’t make it 💙 But by some miracle the labor stopped and gave the second twin some much needed extra time. A few weeks later she was born healthy and well and is now a teenager ❤️
😊
😊
I freaking love this show. When I was little I wanted twins so bad. Then as I got older as an only child I didn’t like or want children told my mom she would never be a granny. Then got pregnant freshman year of college he’s 15 now. I remember going home was so scary. Even though I lived at home with my mom and grandparents it still seemed frightening and terrifying all alone as a single mom. That 1st year just keeping him alive was the hardest thing I have ever done. But my labor and delivery nurses made me want to be a nurse or in medicine. They were so kind and loving. Even postpartum nurses were fabulous as a teen mom I needed that. They really reassured me that I could do this. Never forget them. Emma is doing fantastic. I love this show. Keep them coming. Ohio USA 😊
I love Emma’s disposition with the parents, babies, and staff.
I've seen Emma in her capacity as a TV broadcaster, and she's great, but I really feel her true calling in life is on a Labor and Delivery floor of a hospital. It's obvious she cares deeply for these families, and is an excellent health care professional. If I were on an OB floor, I'd be tickled to have her as my care assistant. I hope she decides to go into the medical profession full time, and even to go back to school to become a fully qualified midwife. She's eminently capable of doing the job, and doing it well. She would be an asset to any hospital.
The couple with the twins that had the C-section showed us what an emergency C-section looks like.
When I had my first child, I went through 18 to 20 hours of labor with no results. We decided that my baby was just not going to fit. And they made the decision I needed a C-section. My baby was not in any distress. We moved quickly once there was a room open for us. But I did not have an emergency C-section. Maybe we could call mine urgent C-section. Many people will say they have had an emergency C-section when they truly did not.
What a great point made. MOST unplanned c-sections are not true emergency c-sections. The majority of them are done as an urgent or just general change in plans. My c-section with my twins was unplanned and unwanted but became necessary. Twin A shifted from complete breech to footling when I was around 7cm so we had to kibosh the breech delivery plan and switched to a c-section due to the considerably higher risks associated with footling delivery. I was urgent at that point but by no means emergent…it was a solid 30-45min between when the decision was made and twin A was born, including time to have a spinal put in (I was unmedicated at that point as it’s better for breech deliveries).
A good way to look at the difference is if there isn’t already an epidural on board, and you were awake for your c-section, it wasn’t emergent as a true emergency doesn’t allow time for having a spinal put in.
Emma's husband is awesome. The two make a great couple 😊
And he is handsome too !! 🫶🏻 They make a beautiful couple.
My mother used to work in a hospital laundry. Everything was washed, and reused. Now it’s plastic, plastic, plastic. The world is drowning in plastic. It’s not like we don’t have excellent laundry machines anymore.
Oh Emma, what a gorgeous soul you are. You know exactly what to say to these mum's & dad's. If only it was this way when I had my children 40+ years ago. This whole series has been awe inspiring, thank you.
So wonderful to see a baby enter the world safely. I love the checklist performed in theater!!
It's beautiful ey.
OMW! When the Dr practices her speech to new moms with her husband it was so very cute! He played 'Matilda' who was breadtfeeding. Then he took'his baby' (the sofa cushion) and was discharged. 😅😊
She is not a Dr.
She’s not a Dr. she’s in maternity assistant. In the USA we referred to them as CNA‘s and they definitely do not make the decisions and have that big of a role in surgery.😮
Thats sweet a very supportive husband she has to help her with her new working journey
When the twins were put together again was so precious!❤❤
Im not even pregnant but can i come to your hospital lol? What beautiful people💞
Emma is such a gorgeous lady. What a wonderful attitude. She is fantastic and patients that have her are very lucky.
So love Emma! I could listen to her soothing voice all day! This Canadian girl loves you!
Her voice is really nice.
Ohhh I loved that episode! So adorable Hugo & Hayden together in the cot. Happy life 😊
Oh yes yes yes..I’m taking a little break to watch this WONDERFUL WOMAN named EMMA ❤
Emma is a gem!!!!! So lovely to see her being authentic about her anxiousness. It will help others
I had an emergency c-section at 33 weeks with my identical twin boys who shared a placenta. They are now 26 and quite healthy. One of mine also went to the NICU.
EMMA IS ANGELIC!
15:25 he loves her so much. They are so cute together!
3:34 36 weeks that is amazing for twins!
Love Emma.... hope she's alright tho, she looks tired in the last few vids...
She does look tired even on this one.
Ooh we love you Emma Willis very2 much and God bless you and husband with love, happiness, joy and health abudantly.
We are sending you so much love and prayer from Indonesia.
I love 💗 watching labor and delivery birth vlogs on the CZcams channel app
Love watching/hearing people on gas 😂 its fun stuff the couple times Ive had it for pain and anxiety during treatments.
Much love from Nigeria Emma! I’ve always wanted to see your show
Where do you know her from?
@@khonkhosilelihle7414 on CZcams. I’ve watched series of her videos on child birth
I think all babies are adorable.
Ofcoz they are. 😊
This is something I've always wanted to do.
I've been following a family in Alaska that are having twins. They had surgery for twin to twin transfer in the placenta. One baby was anemic and has passed in utero. She's still carrying the babies hoping that the second can be closer to term.
if the second twin survives, that is....
Hes so cute
They could have offered Jade epidural. Mine had low heart rate but after epidural my contraction pain calm down and I delivered vaginally
Why don't they use gas and air in the US?
I wonder WHY to your question Myself..it makes you wonder if US is behind in Time or WHAT is going on with that?????!!
I think they have it in the US, you just have to request it. It’s not common for some reason.
i think it would be offered over harsh pain killers but it’s not sadly
@@sydneybrooks9109no, not set up for it I was told
I had it during my balloon induction insertion, didn’t help at all with the pain but helped with breathing as you have to take deeper breaths
I would love this job!
But the hours are crazy.
I love nurses ❤
Bende çok sevdim hemşireleri özellikle renkli gözlü olanı muhtesemmm
I hope someone tells Jade that it's ok not to be perfect. The strain of trying, and not making the mark can cause a lot of mental health issues.
48 hours in labor!? HELLS NO!! Nope, nope, nope, nope! Not today, tomorrow doesn't look good either!
I am pregnant right this second and i havent had my first ultrasound yet but if i end up with twins im gonna die of a heart attack no lie
Why will you say such an awful statement to your salf
@@MsDeeson wtf is your problem!?
@@MsDeeson don't even comment on my post if you are going to twist my words and insult me
Americans and their insults! Gosh! Your mouth is your problem..
You look like Meredith gray from grays anatomy
I kinda want to be a teacher but i also want to be a nurse my sister is a nurse
I like those masks!
Sorry but I think WHO should leave the checklist to local doctors that truly know the patients history.
❤
27:43 well that’s backwards. Usually people breast feed then maybe move on to bottle.
They should of given her a c csection from the start why let her go through all that
What year did this happen?
not entirely sure.... I think somewhere around 2021/2022
Omg tge next one is at 48 hours!? Thats ridiculous 😢
CANT be born seperate if conjoined 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
N another thing - 1 baby comes out 1st. 1 is 2nd... thats all. 🎉🎉🎉
I know I am going to be trolled over this but elective c-sections should not happen period! There are too many complications that can occur over time such as scar adhesions, surgical staples that float about and can cause issues and an overhanging pouch since they insist of using the bikini cut. It is impossible to ever lose all the fat off that lower area so it will always pull in unnaturally. Ask mothers who have had c-sections and almost all have at least one of these complaints. 12 to 24 hours is a normal amount of labor for a first birth. I have seen it last longer with no complications to the baby. Now all that said... yes you should have a c-section if it is for an emergency or truly an unusual problem. I have had 2 c-sections due to both being footling breech babies. Very rare to happen twice. I even had the baby turned and she turned back to breech position the next day. I would have never chosen to get a c-section. Surgeons make a lot of money off doing a c-section over a mother having a natural birth.
Good thing your opinion doesn’t matter to most people then.
I am a bit confused about why the two labour attendees are cleaning? Surely you don’t need a degree in midwifery to clean a floor?
Regular cleaners can't be trained to know how yo operate around surgical machinery and instruments plus clean up biological waste.
@@aloisplease Of course they can. Of course they can be trained to do cleaning around whatever equipment is there and whatever cleaning is required. What a silly comment. Are you trying to imply that all cleaners are learning disabled?
@58Kym um no... though as somebody who is that and physically there isint a problem with any cleaner being that? From my own personal expereince as a paitent the nurses have told me they have to clean up any Vomit, pee, poo, or blood- unless there is a passing, then it becomes a police scene. Nurses hired into hospitals are most often normal nurses with aa high standard to keeping the place sanatiz3d and I think if they were actively cleaning the biological hazards themselves it would account to spread. Nobody's saying the cleaners are incompitent- in fact I think it's very respectful to cleaning staff to expect them to do their job without having to come into contact with bits and liquids of people. Yes there are special cleaners just for this kind of mess, crime scene cleaners. In hospital it is the doctors who deal with the medical components, including waste, and the cleaners backing them up by sanitizing after. The hazards are removed. It's. A risk to an untrained cleaners health too. Training to clean carnage is also a very long process and not considered part of a normal cleaning job whatsoever like standard hospital staff are hired for. Thank you to the nurses who clean up because though it's not their job they know it's ethically right. Children don't leave their toys out after they play even if they don't vacuum the whole room.
@@aloisplease Doesn’t happen that way here. There are cleaners who cover biological waste in hospitals etc. Nurses don’t do it, they are too busy nursing.
In Australia they use cleaners.
We don’t use gas in the U.S
This mask thing 😂😂😂😂😂
Omg why so many cesarean births? That is nuts!!!! In America it is healthier to deliver vaginally unless otherwise necessary! I am shocked!!!
I think the c-section rate in the whole US is about 31%. In the Uk it’s about 25% overall. I understand this hospital delivers a lot of twins and higher order multiples and looks after more high risk births/pregnancies. I think that’s part of why the cs rate is high at this hospital
This hospital accepts higher risk cases from the other local hospitals so the c section rate is higher, but over the uk it isn’t higher than the US.
Also they choose to film cases that are more high risk.
We do a lot more c sections in the US then they do in England. This is just a very high risk hospital
... I think she deserves more gas after such a traumatic cuzerian (joking but jfc). Poor lady, im so glad one twin was stable quick.
Never wake a sleeping baby
that totally depends on the situation
Have her sit up a bit...laying on her back doesn't jelp
So wild to me that they still use gas and air to make the mothers high!
Better than narcotics. It’s mixed with oxygen so not high for long that’s why they use it.
The baby on the left needs a diaper change before he can be feedboplease
Are there no married couples having babies???
Perhaps you should focus on your manners rather than their marital status.

how about you do the same, and just post once? @@FjaeraFarm
The large girl keeps touching her face and head. Big no no.
Just about the most ridiculous and humorous looking muzzles! How stupid have we become
I so agree! WTFFFFF
It’s infection control in a sterile setting. I mean seriously , if I was getting major abdominal surgery like a c section, I’d be pissed if a member of my medical care team coughed or sneezed on my incision site.
It’s pretty standard to wear surgical masks in an OR but these ones allow us to see the people talking and it’s better for tv
I don’t like it when women make fun of their partners because they faint or cry at the birth of their child. It’s small-minded nonsense.
