What a beauty. I can only drool and dream. I know it's a humble dream, but something like this would do me nicely one day.

It has good mid range? Why do I constantly read that the FZ1 doesn't have any low end torque? What are people comparing it to? Certainly it must have more torque than a 600cc ZX-6R? I had a 2002 ZX-6R and it had tons of low end torque. It could lug in any gear, and pull away cleanly. I am so curious about the FZ1 1st generation power, because so many people say it has no low end torque.

It’s got plenty of low end torque, it’s a litre engine! It may have a bit less than a 1000cc V-twin, but you can smile smugly when 6000rpm is reached and the twin engages reverse gear...

It has plenty, with stock gearing you can pull a good hill in 6th starting at 25ish mph

My dad use to own one. Until someone had to use their phone on the road and crashed right into my dad. He’s ok but the bike is destroyed

A bike can be replaced. A good father cannot. Glad to hear he’s alright. Peace

Styling 8??? This bike looked like a 10, and still looks like a 10 twenty years later.
